I am scrapping in all directions today :) Does anyone have some
good ideas for titles for pages from the Grotto? I have all kinds of fun elements to use like paper with bubbles on it, jewels, rubble from Magic Scraps (looks like rocks from the bottom of an
aquarium, and those picture pebbles that magnify words in "sea
colors". I can't wait to get started on this page!
Thanks for your ideas!
Kim

Do you have the story book? if you do that works for me often.
I just did a great page for read across america with Dr.seuss. I scanned pages to add to tags and the pages directly. Hope I hellped a bit.

This probably sounds boring after the other great ideas, but I bought a Disney Princess 12 x 12 paper book (I think it's by Paper Pizazz) and there is a layout with Ariel in it. I think the story book idea is wonderful...I also did a Cat in the Hat layout, too, for the ride at US/IOA using pages from the book (of course, acid-proofing first).

Scanning ideas from storybooks and using them as die cuts or
added to tags is really a great idea. I have many of the Xyron
machines from the 900 to the little X and these could easily be
made into stickers. Applying them to tags will be fun too. I usually do elements on tags and forget to do photo or in this case
the scanned images, so I really appreciate sending those ideas
my way!

For my page I used Caribbean blue paper with a slight bubble design in it (Scrap In A Snap, of course--I'm a consultant), then
I matted my pictures with solid Caribbean and Sunburst Yellow
because of the stars in background in the Grotto. On the border
of one of the pictures I applied Magic Scraps jewels in topaz and
clear--(these came in circles, squares, and hearts--very cute)
remember trying to catch those jewels in Mickey's Philharmagic
Show during the part with Ariel? The title I used was Under the
Sea and because of this great board I can copy some of those
lyrics.

With another Ariel page different from this one I have some good
pictures from one of the parades, I will use the sea colored pebble
stones to highlight some words in the journaling--it's neat how
they magnify them and also use them as an embellishment by
some mats for balance. I have vellum tags in sea colors too
that should tie that page together and I want to try to create a
vellum seaweed as a border. Have to come up with another
title for that layout though...

Sorry to ramble on, thanks again for all the help on this board!
I am so glad to have found it--I have found so much I never would have learned about (the Disney fonts, those sites for the
coloring books, and some great recipes!) Thanks everyone for
sharing!

Here's my layout of ariel at WDW. I only had one photo so, I really couldn't do much but this is what I did. YOu can see it at this link:

http://gallery.lifetimemoments.com/showphoto.php?photo=4498&password=&sort=1&cat=500&page=1

I used buttons that were seashell shaped, heart & star. Some paper tearing. I got the idea from Simple Scrapbooking Magazine. Now that I think about it you could probably add some fish netting to give it a really cool look.

HTH,
Tina

Tina, how did you do the lettering in your layout? Are those
sticker letters? If they are stickers who are they by? I think your
fishnet idea is one I will have to use in future layouts as I keep
working through my vacation album. I did some beach pages at
our resort and used sand along the edge of the paper tearing and also around the sandcastle die cut. Then I put some in a little
memorabila bag and tied fibers around it and put it on the page.
I wrapped two of the photos with fiber and it turned out cute!
My next goal is to do some Toy Story layouts with Buzz, Woody
and some of those other characters from the movie. I used the Sizzix Shadow Block letters to make the Toy Story logo and it turned out so close to the style, now I have to find time to pull those pages together...I have to work the whole weekend so I may not accomplish much :) Thanks for sharing your layout Tina it is so much fun to see what others do with their pictures for WDW!

Yes, they are stickers from Provo Craft called Pixie Serif. I got them on QVC of course but you can buy them at the following link:

Just scroll down a little and you'll see the different colors they have.

Thanks for sharing all your ideas too.... HOpefully, you can post your layout one day too so, we can see it.

Martha,
That's Tina's layout, I have mine done but I'm not sure how to
post and get it on here to share :) Tina, really did do a great job with her page! By the way is there a place within this site where everyone posts their layouts? I'm a newbie to this group--It is so
much fun to find others who share my two loves--scrapping and
Disney :)

These sound great! Are they posted anywhere so we can mooch off your scrapping creativeness?

Have you seen those Disney Princess sticker collages? They have their dress, animals/creatures from the movie. They are really cute. The Ariel one has ariel's tail (made out of satin with see-through-ish fabric for the fins) her seashell boob covering, some bubbles, Sebastian, Flounder, and a sign that says Ariel. They have them for most of the princesses and they are so cute! They are made by the company who does Jolee's.

Oooh, Kim, I love your Ariel page. Darn though, now I have another scrapbook site I didn't know about that I am probably going to have to order from! LOL.:D
