for a 7 year old girl?????

DD recently got into Webkinz (I held off as long as I could.) :rolleyes1

Her birthday is the end of next month and she came up with the idea of a Webkinz Luau party. Get Luau decorations, maybe make little lei's for the animals.

I don't know if they have Webkinz themed kits. Anyone know of any, or other ideas?????

I thought about seeing if I could get her to do an American Doll party, she is in to them too and has a few.

She is turning 7 , so she can invite 7 other little girls. We talked about it and she decided to make it all girls this year. The party will be at our house in our finished basement.

we're having one in two weeks :goodvibes

party city and the other party factory store have "dog" themed party products and I bought those. I asked the kids on my dd's invite list to bring their pet, their log ins, and a lap top so that the partiers could "play" together online.

I also bought a dog movie at Walmart to fill in time.

We're having a pizza party.

DD didn't find a dog/pet pinata, so she picked out a sun instead. I'm going to fill it with candy and dog themed stickers.

you could probably blend the dog / pet theme with the luau :goodvibes:

((( happy planning ))))

I personally wouldn't do laptops with little kids. I would never let my kids take my laptop to a kid party. It only takes one spilled drink to ruin a laptop.

I would keep the laptops home.

yeah, and if someone else spills on someone else's lap top..... ay yi yi yi yi.... what a predicament for the party host.

We've had two ruined laptops with water just in our own home.. I can only imagine hyped up kids with candy and drinks!

Make a round cake and have it look like the Wheel of Wow.

That is a cute idea!

Yeah, I am thinking no lap top. We have 3 computers here all with internet access, but really if we are having a party we are not going to be on computers.

We just had one for DD9 last month and it worked out great! I got alot of good ideas from DIS friends both on this board and the Budget board. We played some party games with the webkin theme like Google has a boo boo, which is basically pin the tail on the donkey but we drew Google and used ice pak, spoon with bubblegum medicine and a large band aid. The girls had a blast with it and it lasted quite a long time. Also I took a picture of my DD with all her webkinz and had that scanned on her cake. We played egg races on spoons, dressing relays, and wonder ball with the webkinz. We also included on the invite to have the guests bring their favorite webkins so that we could design jewerly collars with their names on it, and princess crowns for them. Have fun!

My daughters wants a webkinz themed one for her birthday in August.

If you go to Webkinz site they do have a party suggestion section with pictures.

Oriental trading has these that remind me of the crown of wonder:

Thanks I was just about to place an order there, but their system seems to be down right now and not able to place it.

jesszac610, thank you. All great ideas!:thumbsup2

What? A party with no computers??? ;)

We just had a 9 yo slumber party which wasn't technically webkinz themed, but there were webkinz gifts. The urge to register the products was overwhelming.

webkins invitations would be easy if you have microsoft greeting card maker. Whos her favorite webkinz? I mean if she loves the cats you could do a webkin cat party. You know what I mean? If shes a arty fan, you could do a webkinz curiosity party. OMG I have a idea. Get a big flat bucket,or a couple buckets. fill them with sand or cheap clay. Then go to walmart and get a bag of those cheap Gems (the ones that come in a bag of 30 and have silver backs) then bury them in the clay or sand. Then the kids could trade up for a crown of wonder ( a very nice party favor). You could also get a pack of plain tees (the bear sized ones, really cheap at a craft stores) and let the kids made a tee for there pets. I would also ask each child to bring there ONE (make sure to say one or you may end up with a mess) favorite webkinz. I would say favorite webkin or stuffed critter just to make sure to include the kids who may not have a webkin.

Did you get any responses about the lap top request? I would never take the liability on.

Be prepared to Receive a Webkin from each of your guest. Try not to register them all at once, they are only good for a year. My 11 year old is still into them.

Thats what my aunt did, her kids got one each for xmas and curently registerd one and will register the other nearer to the end of the year (which will extend the year)
