Hi everyone!! We have booked our November trip and my daughter will be turning 5 during our trip. I want to make her birthday extra special and I plan on trying to get her a BBB appointment as early as I can the morning of her bday and then hopefully can get a lunch reservation at CRT for that same day. She loves princesses so I think she'll really love it. Anything else you can think of that would help to make her day extra special? Also, is there any such thing like having an invitation sent to her from Cinderella inviting her to the boutique and lunch at the castle? Does that exist?

Thanks!!

We have some of the same things going on our next trip. Daughter will also turn 5. We're also doing another meal at be our guest the same day so my daughter will get to dine in both castles that day. We figured we've got to eat so that would be fun. Maybe also try to do any other princess meet and greets the same day so she can meet the princesses that aren't at CRT in her finery.

It wasn't my dd's birthday, but during our last trip, we did princess day. She did BBB, we had breakfast at the castle and dinner at BoG. We used our FP for attractions and/or meet and greets she would like. We met A&E and Rapunzel (as well as the princesses at breakfast). We also did the Enchanted Tales with Belle and meet Merida and Ariel. We rode the Minetrain and the Little Mermaid. We basically made this day about our 4 year old daughter. She LOVED it.

I don't think you could get Cinderella to send her an invitation, but you could do it yourself. Create the invitation from Cinderella and give it to her.

Good ideas for princess M&G and dinner at BOG that day! Anna & Elsa are a must for her so maybe I can get lucky and get those fast passes for that day. Her bday will be our 3rd day there so I don't know what my chances are of actually getting those for that day but it's worth a shot. I guess I could just do the invitation myself and bring it with us and set it up in our room before we left the prior evening or something so it would be there the night before when we got back from dinner.

As for BBB... I know there are various levels of packages. Do you think its best to do the highest level and let her pick which dress and such she wants when we get there or should I buy one ahead of time and maybe lay it out with the invitation the night before and she can just wear it there?

For BBB my husband decided my daughter gets to pick her outfit there and get the "works" package. I have also read where you can buy an outfit ahead of time and kind of sneak it to the fairy god mothers and they'll put it in her changing room at the BBB so it didn't come from you and is "presented". Pretty cool if possible and should save some bucks!

Yes, there are various levels of packages. My DD did BBB twice. The first time we let her pick her outfit. She second time, we brought an outfit. She enjoyed both visits very much. It did save us some money by bringing our own.

For my girls trip, the princesses (and baymax, then I learned right before the trip that baymax was no longer there!) left a note and a small present outside our hotel door that "i opened the door to find" each morning. The presents came from a character they would see that day thanks to Fastness + and included stretchy princess bracelets, a Belle mickey hat, hair chalk in blue and purple for meeting elsa and anna, and stuffed baymax. i can't figure out how to attach the pictures of the notes here (I found pics of each of the characters online), but here's what they said:
From the Castle of Cinderella: "Dear ___ and ___, Why Hello! Welcome to Disney World! Your parents told me that you’re coming to visit me today. I can’t wait to meet you in person. I hope you like this little gift to make you even more princess like. Stay Sparkly!"
From Ariel's Grotto: "I hope you’re doing swimmingly today. ___, it’ll be great to see you again. __, I can’t wait to meet you. Take lots of pictures today, because you will look beautiful. See you under the sea!"
From the Kingdom of Arrendale:"Your parents told me you have a busy day, but we hope you can come see us later. Olaf wanted us to remind you to smile a lot today because it’s Summer in Disney World! Please wear your beautiful costumes, so we can recognize you as our fellow sisters. Hooray for Sisterhood!"
From Baymax: "On a scale from 1-10, how are you feeling today? I had an emergency patient and won’t be able to see you today, but wanted to leave you these stuffed animals of me to remember me. Can you try to get a lot of autographs and tell me about it? Bah la la la la"

So cute!! I love it! I think I'll definitely try and write her a letter from Cinderella for the morning of her Bday because we did get a BBB reservation and then a CRT reservation for later. Thanks for the ideas!

To be honest, a trip to WDW, with a Birthday button, would have sent my kids over the moon.

I bet you a dollar that your daughter will be thrilled to death with the plans you already have in place.

I'm sure you're right. The trip is actually a surprise so she'll be thrilled to just be in Disney! I just want to make sure she has an extra magical day, I can't help myself! LOL!

for a letter, check our the creative disigns forum here on the dis - there are some REALLY talented people here

as for the outfit - no kids, just readin gon here - i have read that the dresses are ITCHY and uncomfortable - alot of people go elsewhere and bring the dress with them that is more comfortable

I absolutely appreciate what you're saying... this site has a way of getting you hooked on more, more, more.

The one little thing I would add is this: go to the Family Forum, and find the link on the top to Fairy Godmailers. Here's how it works: someone going to WDW before you promises to send a postcard to your daughter-- you can request a particular character if you want. Then you pay it forward, and send one to someone else while you're on your trip.

Ask someone to send one from Cinderella.

Thanks, I'll check it out! And I have considered bringing a dress from home and still may but I also like the idea of her getting to pick which princess she wants to be that day. I still have time to figure it out!

That's a really cute idea! I'll go look at that! Thanks!

great ideas, everyone! I'll also have to check out the fairy godmother thing.
The fairy godmother thing probably would have saved me so much time! of course, I had fun doing it and going overboard "for the kids," but I"m sure the Disney pros on here would do a much better job :).

We are planning to celebrate my daughter's 5th birthday there. We are doing BBB in the morning but I'm bringing two costumes with us and letting her choose one to bring. Theirs still have wrinkles. I want her dress nice and I can get twice the stuff getting them ahead of time. The menus at BOG and CRT didn't appeal to us so I'm thinking of booking an evening spot at BOG for desert or find something else in the park to substitute for birthday cake. She will have a birthday pin and the shirt she wears the rest of the day, once she dumps the dress, will announce it as her birthday. Our shirts will coordinate with hers. If we are talking to a cm who doesn't acknowledge it as her birthday I will tell them so they make a fuss. She will get to pick extra souvenirs as birthday gifts and we will have some more gifts and a cake waiting for after the trip when we get home so that we get to do the celebration again with more family.

While her birthday is only one day, that is why we are taking the vacation so we will celebrate her birthday every day but heavier on the actual day. We will tell all the cms when we do the character meals or interactive attractions and she will wear her birthday button every day. We're only doing 4 days so it isn't a lot.

The trip is for her but I have something planned for each person that is just for them. For ds, it's a steakhouse off the resort, for dh, it's a NASCAR package in Daytona in the way home. I haven't found the right thing for each of the teen girls yet, but I will.

OP here! So my booking window was a couple weeks ago and everything didn't work exactly as planned but we still have great options. I was able to get the BBB reservation for 9:30 am at MK (was hoping for 8 am but at least I was still able to get morning). I booked the Castle package for now, still deciding if I should just bring a dress from home. I do like EvilQueen2018's idea of bringing 2 and letting her choose, probably still cheaper than buying 1 there :rotfl2:. Then we will do a meal at CRT, just not sure which one yet. As of right now I have ADRs for 12 pm or 4:30 pm (I know, I'm probably being labeled as a hoarder but I didn't know what time BBB we'd end up getting so I had to book a few different times). We had planned on bfast but her appointment time doesn't really allow for that. I wasn't able to get BOG dinner on this day and I decided that 1900PF may be too much Cinderella in 1 day for the boys. So now to figure out which plan to go with for the rest of the day.

Plan A- Do the BBB, pictures, etc. and maybe get in a princess M&G, Lunch at CRT at 12, do whatever else she wants and then do dinner at Chef Mickey's at 6 pm. Then depending on how tired she is either go back to the hotel or we could swing over to Epcot since they have EMH or even DS.

Plan B- Do the BBB, pictures, etc. and maybe get in a princess M&G and rides, Lunch at CRT at 12, head back to hotel for naps, grab a QS dinner and do MVMCP that evening. I'm just not sure I want to pay the extra to do the party this year. We did it on our first trip and my daughter was only 2 so while it was great, I don't really feel like we got our money's worth because we left kind of early. But she's older now so maybe she could last longer but my son will be 2 this year so we may be in the same situation.

Plan C- Do the BBB, pictures, etc., do whatever rides and M&G she wants, grab QS lunch, ride more rides and then do CRT at 4:30, maybe get a little bit more time at MK after dinner before they kick us out and then play the night by ear (maybe Epcot, maybe DS).

Plan C- Do the BBB, pictures, etc., do whatever rides and M&G she wants, grab QS lunch, back to hotel to rest, CRT at 4:30 and then stay for the party.

Decisions, decisions!
