ideas for 1st day

We will be arriving at POR probably around 3pm or later. Even though we are staying 8 days and have UPHs I feel I don't want to lose a second of fun! I'd like to have dinner and see a fireworks show--any suggestions? Would I need PS? Also, I'm traveling with DH and 3 kids 10, 7 and 3. Thanks for your help!

How about a character dinner at the Garden Grill at Epcot, then illuminations?

We do this all the time - we shot over to Epcot for dinner in one of the countries - I've usually found that China has immediate seating available - and they have the world's best honey sesame chicken - yum...

Then find a place around the lake and relax watching illuminations.
