I have seen the 12 Days of Christmas discussed on this board here and there, but now I cannot find anything when I search. I think I may do this for 3 people who I supervise... morale is very low around our office and this may be something that can really cheer them up. However, I can't spend that much, and even inexpensive gifts given every day can add up. So, does anyone have any ideas of things that would be cute, silly, or really useful and affordable? Thanks!!

I did this for my dh once. We didn't have much money, and you're right - 12 gifts can add up. I bought his favorite mints, favorite soft drink, microwave popcorn (why do I always think of food?). I don't remember what else. Just a nice note would be appreciated. Or maybe one day you could bring lunch to share, something simple would work fine, or a tea bag or hot cocoa packet (and I'm back to food again).

I think any little surprise would show them you care.

Some cheap items could be the Theater size box of candy which is at Walgreens for 2/1.00 limit 6 per order. Cook and bring in a lunch, or maybe schedule a pot luck with them all to bring food. :yay:

You can look for multiple packs of things like holiday candles or holiday print tissues at the dollar store. Also, if you scrapbook or have any paper crafting supplies you can make each person a personal card. Even a card made in publisher that is personalized is ALWAYS well received.

I like this idea of 12 days of Christmas.

Is Christmas day the 1st day of Christmas? It ends with the Feast of Kings in January, right? I am not sure and I always wanted to know:confused3

I did this once for a co-worker and she loved it. I used mostly little items: stamps, pieces of fudge, socks, holiday gift bags (from the dollar store), bows, hard candy with a Christmas saying tied to each piece as a tag, homemade cookies etc. I think the final item was a poem with 12 great things about the person.

Have fun.

LOL! Because food is universally liked, and we definitely eat our share of it in our office! Thanks for the great ideas everyone, please keep them coming, I'd like a couple more (12 days is a long time!)

a handful of hershey kisses
can you give them a "coupon" for an extra 15min at lunch?
post it notes & a nice new pen
a small starter plant (you can do from one of your own-just start to root it now)
small or sample size hand lotion
chapstick
gum
"emergency" change for the vending machine
