We are going this year around my DD's 10th birthday. I plan on having a cake in a restaurant and getting a button, but, besides those things what else have people done to make it special? Is there a special hat, or anything else??? Never celebrated there before.:)

What price range are you looking at? Are you looking to buy something or do something?

We'll be celebrating my son's 11th birthday at Disneyland. What he has asked for.....that on his birthday, he gets to pick what we do. No overplanning parents butting in! We'll see how it goes, and whether or not I get the shakes allowing for the anarchy! LOL

Not really on a budget for this....just want it to be special. Buy something, do something, wear something, anything goes....if you have ideas let me hear them...please.

I believe they also sell *Birthday Mouse Ears." :earsboy:

Do these come in adult sizes?

and back on topic...........what about the Wild Africa Trek? Sounds cool! The Family Magic Tour was fun, but we did it when our kids were 6 and 4, I don't know if 10 would be too old? There was a scavenger hunt in Epcot, I think it's Phinneas and Ferb, used to be Kim Possible. I think 10 would be the perfect age for that.

They DO sell happy birthday mouse ears! At "The Chapeau" in Magic Kingdom. So cute.

Pirates and Pals Firework Cruise was great and my now 10 year old said that we must do it again.

We have also done the Wishes Dessert party. Maybe an Illuminations Cruise?

If she is a girlie girl, what about a Spa appointment? Bowling at Splitsville?

She may like to do the makeover at BBB sans the dress. My niece was 9 and did the Diva hairstyle and loved it.

My daughter turned 14 at DHS almost 5 years ago. We got her the birthday mouse ears. Coincidentally we were first in line for the next Backlot tour and she (and her sister) were chosen to be in the fake movie filming they do before the tour.

Some of the things are pricier...I got DD the engraved glass slipper -- they brought it out to her at dinner..it was $$, I think it was around $60. I wish I could remember.

Edited to Add: We also went to Harmony BBShop, she got a trim, updo and pixie dust for like $20.00 very cute. loved it, didn't want to do BBB.

In no particular order...

1. Pirates & Pals Fireworks Cruise. (It isn't just for boys & it is a fun time)
2. Horseback ride at Fort Wilderness.
3. Reservations for Be Our Guest with Belle & Beast.
4. Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom.
5. Have a special birthday basket delivered to your hotel with some Disney keepsakes. (There are a few delivery companies that provide this)
6. Have your room decorated for a special birthday surprise. (Can be arranged through Disney, though very expensive. My son loved this last year.)
7. Wishes Dessert Party
8. Illuminations Dessert Party
9. Surfing Lessons at Typhoon Lagoon
10. Breakfast with Stitch at O'hana
