So my baby sister is getting married August 1st and I have decided that I want to make her a scrapbook for her gift. I received one for my wedding that was supposed to capture the entire first year of my marriage. The book was done with one page for each month of the year, and all I had to do was insert the picture. I have to say that it was my favorite gift of everything I my hubby and I really enjoyed going through every month and adding a new picture - we also love to look back on it.

The lady who created the scrapbook for me, is also making one for my sis so I have decided to do one for the actual wedding part. Photo albums are nice, but scrapbooks are so much better, don't you agree? So I have made a list of all the pages I want to do and I would just like input please if I am missing something or some of that is not a good idea because this will be a my first scrapbook (:rolleyes1) and I really enjoy seeing all that yall do. Thanks!

(not neccessarily in the order I would do)

-page for bride (growing up pictures)
-page for groom (growing up pictures)
-engagement pictures
- 2 page spread of pictures of them as a couple
- getting ready for the wedding
- MOTB w/bride
- FOTB w/ bride
- MOTG w/groom
- FOTG w/groom
- bridesmaids and flower girl
- groomsmen and ring bearer
- rings
- cake/presents
- page of cermony
- 1st kiss/ Mr and Mrs
- Happily ever after

Thanks yall!!

My MOH decorated a shadow box with our invite and it is beautiful! So i kinda copied it when I put it in our scrapbook.

bridal shower
best man/ bridal/ father speeches
playlist from the reception.

Im working on an album right now and I have a huge list of things I captured and want to scrap! PS it takes FOREVER lol

How about a page that tells their "story" thus far, i.e. how they met, how/when they got engaged etc. It could include any pictures of them while they were dating and if they happen to have gotten a photograph when they got engaged it would be a perfect spot for that.

I actually just finished a scrapbook of my own wedding (I am having my 10 year anniversary in October!) so the ideas are still fresh. Good luck and I am sure it is a gift that she will really cherish.

twopeasinabucket.com did a tutorial on wedding scrapbooks, it was over 8weeks or something but it had really cool ideas. I know I saved each part of it for future use, I can look for it if you want it, or you could do a search over there. maggie

Thank you all so much for you ideas and input. The plan is to have the scrapbook done for the wedding, that way they just have to insert the pictures. That's why I need to make pages for things I am SURE they will do or have.

Thanks yall!!

You've gotten a terrific list from other folks on this thread already, and I can't think of much of anything to add to those!

The excellent thing about planning this out so far in advance (you are SO awesome!) is that as you hear over the next few months about things she's definitely doing - or not doing - as part of the wedding you can allow the pages to reflect that. For example, if you're not sure whether or not she's doing a "First Dance" at the reception - you could just title a page "Dancing" - and that would cover everything nicely.

You could make up many, many pages with blank photo mats and use general wedding stickers and die-cut shapes well in advance of the wedding. As the date gets closer and everyone's plans become more set, you can then add "official" titles and headings to many of those pages and you'll be fine.

Good luck with this wonderful project!

you can also make sure she gets the photos she needs for the various pages by taking some of them yourself. I took photos of the best shoes and the women who wore them, the prettiest dresses, the table decorations, guest book, place tags arrayed on a table, the basket of programs at the wedding, cake, flowers, officient, the hors d'oerves table, which I'm sure she never saw!
