I'm glad the tags worked out for you, because my kids had a bad time with it. My 10 yo refused to wear it, but my other ones did. The main problem I had with the tags was that the writing was way too small to easily read without having a stranger getting too close to my kids, which I didn't feel good about. Anyway, ours (didn't get at Walmart) also set off the sensors at the airport security one time, and it was a bit of a hassle, but just had to remember to remove them on our return flight.
I think the important things is to just have some added measure to find your kid if he/she gets lost. It sucks to have to walk around to try to find them and then eventually going to a security person to tell them you lost your kid! LOL
That's interesting because one of the things we like about the "dog tag" style charms is that you can't see the information
The writing is small so its not a blaring advertising ie "my name is XXX". I think it is obvious enough that most people would realzie its a tag esp in WDW the CM's would be looking for a tag or other id. TJ
