Can anyone tell me if a UK driving licence is accepted as ID for cashing traveller's cheques etc. I would rather carry it around than my passport.

Also has anyone ever been asked for ID at the parks the first time they use their ticket - I don't really want to carry my passport around if I don't have to.

Thanks.:)

If it is a photo driving licence then yes - it is always a photo id they are after.

Think it is rare to be asked for id when first using your tickets but not impossible.

For traveller's cheques, I always used my photo driving licence. My mum, doesn't drive and also didn't want to take her passport everywhere. She used a photocopy of her passport as ID for traveller's cheques and never had any problems.

Have never been asked for ID at the parks and it is very rare that we need it to change any travellers checks. We still carry it with us just in case.

The only place i was asked to show id when using a travellers cheque was in K-Mart!

Ive never had to show ID in the parks or outside, even when we went shopping at the Florida Mall I was never asked. :goodvibes

The only time I was asked for ID was at the NBA restaurant at City Walk. I used my photo driving license and the waiter accepted it but looked a little confused. Maybe it depends on the size of the cheque as to whether they ask for ID or not.

(We were using a $100 cheque that time - I remember because the cost of the meal plus a 15% tip came to £85 and we had to ask for change! I know they don't get paid much but !!!!!!!)

Your photo car licence id will be fine. Americans are required to have id on them at all times, I believe, so I would suppose the same would apply to us over there. We have never been asked for photo id entering the park but it does say on the tickets that they can ask for it so I would always carry some form of id. We have only been asked for id in Busch Gardens, Subway, Florida Mall and Premium Outlets. The last two places I wasn't carrying any and they just let me buy the items (paying by credit card though), same in Subway. In Busch Gardens we were cashing a travellor's cheque.

We are being asked to show id more every trip, yesterday they wanted to see it because I was using my AP to get a $5.50 discount in world of Disney. Always use driving licence

I don't want to have to carry around my passport and as i don't drive i don't have a drivers license. any help much appreciated
