Howdy Everyone!

It's been a long time since I've been to WDW.

I would like to know if I have to have and ID to buy my park tickets?

Do I need an ID to get into the parks and resorts?

About how long you wait in line during the bag searches?

Is there a line that by pass the bag search line if you don't carry a bag into the parks?

I will probably have to carry a backpack to carry the baby's diapers and sippy cup.

I would say yes for id to buy park tickets atleast for pass holders you will need to sign the ticket so yes they need your id. you need your id to enter the resort when you check in but once you get your rom key they wil accept that at each resort securty. You dont have to show your id to get into the park just tickets. And es they have abypass if you dont have any bags or fanny packs or anything like that. it depends if you go righ at opening or if a park has emh it could be 5 min long or sometimes longer but durning the day it mybe less it just depends on that day and park if it mk it proberly be busy all day.

I had to have my id to make purchases with credit card and charge to my room key, and you have to show ID to enter resort properties.

Thanks Disney David and lovetoscrap

So, I will need my ID to check in.
I get my tickets at check in and add it to my resort key.

Afterwards, I will not need my ID..
I just need to use my room key as my ID.
Right?

Good to hear that the lines for bag search goes by fast.

yes if you dive to another resort they will ask to see your id or room key so if you have your room key ready that all they need. As long as your ticket are signed they wont ask you for your id at the gates but if they ae not signed on the back the will ask to see your id. I would still carry the id just in case something happens that you would need it but you wont have to take it out. you might have to have an id for using credit card or chargeing with your room key.

I would carry your ID with you at all times. In this age of security I wouldn't ever be without it.

If your ticket won't work at the gate for some reason (and it happens more than you would think) they may ask to see it. As I said if you make any purchases with anything but cash they may ask for it. If you end up in any type of emergency situation (and it happens more than you would think) you may need it.

Better to have it with you and not need it than to not have it and need to.

Thank You Metro West

Thanks everyone for your information.
I just got back Wednesday.
The baggage search was real quick at every park!
The guards were all nice.

Yes, you will need your driver license if you use your charge card or room key.
