For Alumni Day at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ Oct 2nd!!

Since 1974 Six Flags Great Adventure has employed thousands of the greatest people in the world!
This year we welcome them back with their friends and family for the 1st Annual Alumni Event Saturday, October 2, 2010.

Tickets are $33.00 and include a Buffet Lunch :thumbsup2
You can purchase the tickets thru the six flags great adventure website.
Look under the events tab and for Oct 2nd.

I worked for Six flags from 1996 to 2002 in alot of different positions.
I wrote Six flags curious if proof of being an alumni is needed to gurantee nonalumni friends and family can't take advantage of the deal and this is the email they sent me:

Thank you for contacting us! We are so excited for Alumni Day.

To answer your questions...We can't garantee. The buffet is open to family & friends of past empoyees as well. Over the years Six Flags NJ alone employees almost 4000 people a year. However, most people who are not alumni will not open the event link to see what the price is.

We have a scheduled book signing for the Six Flags Great Adventure issue of "Images of America" by Co-Authors Harry Applegate and Six Flags Alum Thomas Benton!

There is also a screening of "Greetings from the Shore". An independant movie filed right here at the Jersey Shore.

There are fun buttons being handed out at the buffet that will get you discounts in the park.

Please feel free to let me know if there is something else you'd like to see us add to the event.

We hope to see you there!

Since they are not going to check who you know that is an alumni and since this is such a good deal especially with the buffet I just wanted to share it with all my FRIENDS here on the DIS :goodvibes

So I hope some of you can take advantage of this deal. :thumbsup2

Wish I could go -- I worked there in grounds back in 1985 (summer between high school and college) and it was a decent job with good pay. What I remember most is how much I hated the uniform and how boring it got. When I applied they only had grounds and food positions open -- would have loved to have worked on one of the rides or games.

My husband worked there when it first opened, and my 2 older boys worked there for 2-3 years each.

Good summer jobs for teens, because they can work FT, 40 hours a week if they wish. My boys did ticketing, parking lot, games, and the virtual reality games.

We live in the next town over, but have not been to GA in years and years. The lines there are ridiculous.

What if you already have a season pass? Is there a separate food cost/price?

Yes they are offering a separate ticket for those with season passes.
Just click on the events tab, go to Oct 2nd and go to tickets.
