I am a very frequent lurker, but another thread about ID for young children has got me worried!
My son will be turning 2 on our trip to Disleyland next month. The only problem is that he is rather big for his age and probably looks closer to 3. Other children always call him a baby, but adults assume he is older.
Should we bring his birth certificate with us to show he really is only 2?

If you are flying its a good idea to have it anyway. Go ahead and bring it. :thumbsup2

They didn't ask us for any ID at the park(MK WDW) and dd has always been tall for her age. Now at 3 1/2 she is confused for 5 quite often.

We are driving (the thought of flying with a toddler still scares me!) but you are right, it cannot hurt to have it on hand!
Thanks :)

I would just throw a copy of the birth certificate in my purse and then not worry about it again. You can have a stress free vacation because you have it if you ever need it rather than stressing each time you go thru a turnstile. To save the price of a kids ticket I'll gladly carry a folded up piece of paper in my purse.

ETA fold it up and have your DH put it in his wallet. Mom's always have too much to carry!

I brought a copy of my DD2's birth certificate when we went in December and it made me feel better to have it with me. For your own peace of mind, I say bring a copy and then you will not have to worry!

Having said that, though, they never once questioned my DD's age. She was 30 months and 40 inches, which is very tall for her age. No one even looked twice when we went into the parks, or at restaurants when we told them she was two so she could eat for free.

Have a great trip!
