Iced Tea Drinkers

I know this was discussed once before, but I can't find the thread now. I've sworn off soda and now prefer to drink iced tea in restaurants. Being an Iced Tea Snob, I can't stand the instant stuff. Where in the World can I find BREWED Iced Tea? Anyone have a list?

A lot of "mom and pop" type restaurants brew their tea. Ruby Tuesdays brews their own too. I think Outback may too.

Sorry to say, but I think all of us who love brewed tea are out of luck at WDW, I have only found instant!

I hope some one else has tried places that we havn't been and can say YES there is brewed in the world

I seem to remember a few mentioned in the past... was Tony's in MK one of them?

Isn't most unsweetend tea brewed? I'm not a tea snob but last may I drank a lot of unsweetended (added sugar at the table) and I was under the impression that it was brewed, but maybe not.

Not always. I usually ask before ordering if its brewed or not. Some restaurants just list 'Iced Tea' on the menu, so you never know what you'll get. Sweet or unsweet is not an issue (although I love sweet tea) since I travel with my Splenda supply at all times.

I drink unsweetened tea and have found it at most of the table service restraunts. It tasted like brewed tea. I would just ask for a to-go cup to take the tea with me out into the parks. I don't know about sweet tea, though. There is always plenty of bottled water available, too.

Hmmm... I may have found the answer to my own question. I was just over on allearsnet.com reviewing the menus and I noticed that some will list "Nestea Iced Tea" and some list "Brewed Iced Tea."

Plaza Restuarant!!!! It has the best iced tea ever. I think they told me last time I ate there that it was freshly brewed there.

I had the sweet tea in May. I didn't really look on the menu we just asked our server abut the tea. My guess is they use Nestea tea bags and they put it on the menu as Nestea Iced Tea.

Rainforest Cafe in AK had really good iced tea in both sweetened and unsweetened. I have had decent brewed tea at all the sit downs but the cs places were instant. Yuk!

I have had what tasted like brewed iced tea at all of my sit-down meals (well, let me say it TASTED like brewed iced tea, and I am DEFINITELY and iced tea snob...much to my dh's annoyance). But, that being said....I find that ALL "brewed" iced tea at WDW is pretty bad because it is made with that AWFUL Orlando water. I still drink it (mainly because I cannot stand the thought of drinking that water...I have to put 6 lemons in any glass to get over the taste), but I have never found any that I "love" at WDW.

However, on an interesting note....I don't like to drink caffeinated beverages in WDW during the summer. The last time I was in WDW (Memorial day), I inquired about caffeine-free iced tea at all of the sit-down restaurants. Much to my surprise, in MOST of the restaurants I was told that would not be a problem, and voila....I did get de-caffeinated iced tea (yes, I actually can tell the difference in how thirsty I am afterwards). Just a thought....if people in WDW say decaff is not a problem....you are definitely getting fresh brewed.
