ICE(winter display attraction) at Orlando Gaylord Palms Hotel

Very cool. My BF and I just got back from our weeklong WDW trip and we drove by it on the Magical Express. We guessed that it was an ice skating rink, but now we know :thumbsup2

For those interested, while the hotel does provide winter jackets for you to wear while you view the display, they don't provide any gloves, hats, scarves, etc. At only 9 degrees inside, you could end up with some very frozen fingers and toes if you're not prepared!

We go every year b/c a relative always gives us free tickets. It is neat, but I am not sure I would pay the money that they are asking. It doesn't take very long to walk through it (30 minutes max). This year it has a Grinch theme so perhaps it will be better. We are going the day after Christmas. It is amazing that people carve all this.

That looks really cool, we almost went to it when we were down there last week. However we just couldn't work it in our schedule and we didn't want to pay that much to get into it either.

Not really worth the money it costs to view the ice sculptures. Went last year & I think we were done with the entire viewing area in less than 15 minutes & that included going down the ice slides twice. Took us longer to bundle up.....:confused3

Have to agree with Eeyore's My Favorite it was a waste of money. Just got back from WDW and left it as a last day thing do. Starters, $12 to park in the hotel car park for the show, $24.99 for the entrance fee, we paid another $10 for the Chill Pass to get straight in as there was 2 hour wait!!

The pre-show and coat thing took longer than the walkthough. So unless you can get a free ticket or good discount I think of better ways to spend $85 (two adults).

The displays are nice but not amazing.

We haven't been, and these are the reasons we hesitate to go. I keep saying "Maybe next year. " Thanks for showing the pictures.

DH and I went in 2005 on our honeymoon and we had a blast. We went early for when it first opened on a weekday and walked right in. We played on the ice slides and wandered all around. Then we went and explored the resort. It was a nice morning/afternoon. We're both pooh sized and the coats fit us nicely with room to spare.
