ice Hockey, Basketball in Anaheim or LA

Anybody been to an ice hockey game or a basketball game in Anaheim or LA in December?

I know Anaheim has an ice hockey team (I think) and LA have the Lakers basketball.

Where did you get tickets? Did you get them before you left or over there? If you watched the lakers, how did you get to and from the stadium in LA at night?

Would love to hear any reports

Was a few years ago we saw the Mighty Ducks...sorry..."Anaheim Ducks" at Arrowhead pond...sorry...."Honda Center"
I think we called them as there was problem doing it online

But it's basically Ticketmaster...like everything else
Like buying tickets to a show.

BUT...it is worth following the Ducks on Facebook or at least their website to find out about special deals.
Of course getting those deals are closer to the event to fill seats. But...they have family pack deals with food and stuff...

Hockey games are SOO much fun.

Oh I am a touch embarrassed to admit that I have indeed seen The Mighty Ducks (1,2 & 3). But that was a hundred years ago (more like 15 years ago, something like that, maybe longer).

I would love to see an ice hockey game. I just picture Rob Lowe in Youngblood and hope as they splat on the boundry plastic border screen thing, that they look as cute as him

The main "rival" is the San Jose Sharks. So they are typically the liveliest games.
The Detroit Red Wings are LOATHED by me...and stole the Stanley Cup from the Ducks so those games are RATHER feisty...but...the 'local' rivalry is with the Sharks.

I saw a game against the Colorado Avalanche which was good and loads of fun. The players all keep getting traded so if you follow players things move a bit. But the first thing you need to look up is seasons...for when you are looking at.

Don't forget the baseball. Anaheim angels stadium is 5m from dlr hotels and when they play can do 3-5 games in that week. Tickets through stubhub.com

I saw the ducks in Anahiem and loved it, we just showed up on game day and got tickets from the window

Also saw the Lakers at the staple centre and got those tickets through stub hub I think

It is worth the money, I have seen 3 sporting events whilst being here and am going to try and get to some baseball spring training this week before I have to leave
