Ice cream from L’Artisan des Glaces : living Disney at home

Does anyone have suggested brands to buy from a northeastern U.S. grocery store that would come close to the ice cream served at L’Artisan des Glaces? I’m trying to find a way to get my ice cream fix until I can visit again!

Make it yourself. Find a good custard based recipe. I like the Williams Sonoma Ice Cream cookbook. Their dark chocolate ice cream recipe is almost exactly the same as L'Artisan des Glaces.

I wasn’t going to suggest the same thing. Martha Stewart has a great vanilla base recipe online. I sometimes add 1/2 cup of Nutella too it and it makes a Nutella gelato that is to die for. Store bought ice cream doesn’t compare!
