I75 Or I79

We will be hauling our 30 foot trailer down to Fort wilderness for the first time next year and the question I have is which route would be easier for pulling a trailer eg hills , cities ect.. Thanks

I 79 has a lot of hills and winding roads, the Virginia's mostly. I could see it being a pain with the travel trailer, you will be ok once you hit the Carolina's. Just came down that way and am going back next week.

My vote would be for Interstate 75.

I do not live in canada...but when we go down from indianpolis we take 74 east to 75 south and there is some pretty steep and curvy hills in the mountains on 75 south as well. the majority of it is in kentucky and tennessee. i know this doesn't really help much...since the previous poster said the same thing about your other route option as well. i just wanted to give you a heads up. on 75 south you also go through Atlanta which can be pretty packed with traffic if you hit it at a bad time.

I75! We pulled our 30ft trailer down I75 in August and back up I79 and there are definitely more hills with more ups and downs. Definitely was harder on the way back.

We did 75 and 79. We found 75 to be a better drive (straight, lots of rest stops, restaurants, motels, gas stations and fewer hills than 79).
