Well we will be leaving in about 7 hours. :mickeyjum I am not really tired (surprise surprise):hyper: . DH is tucked into bed with visions of Mickie Rice Crispies and Angels baseball dancing in his head, and here is am on the DIS.:disrocks:

I have my bag all packed and I am wondering if I am bringing enough shoes. :scratchin Probably not, but we'll see. I am thinking I should'a bought a pair of Crocs. DH thinks I have too many shoes already, drives him crazy when I buy more. Shoes and sun glasses:cool2: , makes him crazy if I even mention I need/want more. What's a girl to do? But I digress...

Any way to pass the time I thought I would start a pre-trip report, then I would be sure to write a trip report when I get back. With the move to AZ 2 1/2 weeks after we get back, it could be a little crazy, but I am a great multitasker! I have read so many great TR's. I am sure this won't be close to one of the greats, but I'll give it a try. Now on with the show!!popcorn::

The cast:
ME :earboy2: - DL freak. I love just being there, the smells, the atmosphere ... ahhhh. My own little piece of heaven.:cloud9:

DH :earsboy: - DL Nut. Not quite the freak I am, but he introduced me to DL ... so I can thank him for that! He grew up in and around Anaheim, so he loves going back for many reasons, DL just happens to be one of the top ones.

DH's Best Friend:hmghost: - We'll call him DHBF cause it's easier. He's laid back and loves going to CA in general, but not too into the whole Disney thing. He has been to DL once many many years ago. He is going to DL with us for his daughter. I think he is going to enjoy himself more than he thinks.

BF's DD7:tink: - We'll call her BFDD (like my imaginative names? HA HA). Her first trip to DL. She is a very sweet and very smart 7 yo. Sometimes I wonder if she is an adult in disguise. She is very attentive and hardly misses a thing. She is very excited to be going on vacation and to DL, so much so that she packed her bag last Sat!

I am excited to get to share in the wonder of BFDD's seeing DL for the first time since DH and I have no children. :cool1: We have plenty of nieces, nephews, and friends children to keep us busy, but we haven't done something this "big" with any of them yet. So it should be an extra magical trip to DL!!pixiedust:

So far we don't have too much planned. We have reservations at BB for lunch Sat. We're going to Sea World :fish: on Sun. A couple of Angels games during the week, and a day at the beach.:beach: Otherwise the plan is to hang out at DL/DCA and roam around the OC a little. We do have a "girls night" planned. We are going to do BAB, while the boys do what ever it is boys do when they get together without the women folk.

DH will probably do the this is where I lived/went to school "tour" for them. :car: It's funny, even though he hasn't lived there for a little over 17 years, he can get right in the car and drive like he never left. He wasn't even old enough to drive when he left CA. Anyway, we already took the pics of those places so we won't get more strange stares from people wondering why there are strangers taking pics of their house.

Well I will leave this off here and pick up when I return. Have a great week everyone!!:wave2:

You should be knee deep in good times by now! :cool1: I'm watching for your report. :surfweb: Is it too much to ask for a few picts? I love picts.:flower3:

I am anxious to hear about your trip too. We are leaving 3 weeks from tomorrow and I am getting very excited. :cool1:

Well I will start off by saying we had a great trip,:goodvibes although not everything went like I thought it would. On the 4th day I had a shock  and about fell out of my chair. I am pretty sure the BFDD is the only child on the planet that has ever uttered the words “Do we have to go to DL today?” :scared1: WHAT?!?! Did I just hear her right? I couldn’t have, it’s not possible. A 7 year old child does not want to go to DL? I think I need to sit down .... oh wait I am sitting.:faint: But I am getting ahead of myself, so let’s start at the beginning.

Friday Morning – Our flight didn’t leave until about 10:30a. I am of the opinion that the earlier I get to leave on the first day the earlier my vacation actually starts. We usually leave between 6a – 7a for vacation, so we usually get there around 12p, which is great. I just don’t like wasting the whole first day getting there. But I was apparently out voted, so we were leaving at 10:30a. OK, we were going for 9 days, I could live with that. We had a pretty uneventful morning/early afternoon. The flight to SNA was calm, no luggage was lost. We had reserved our rental car at Alamo, so of course that was the only car rental counter in the entire airport that had a line, there were about 6-8 groups of people in front of us and one guy working the counter. It took longer to get the rental car than it did to land, get off the plane, and get to the rental car counter. DH surprised me and BFDD with a convertible. It was a PT Cruiser, the first time we had gotten a convertible and it wasn’t a Mustang, which turned out OK since there would be people riding in the back and there was actually leg room in the car. So by 3:30p we were in the car and on the highway! Traffic was a little thicker than it has usually been when we go, but it was a little later, it was also Friday and getting close to rush hour, but we were finally on vacation!

Our first stop is usually at Earl’s Grill/Home Cookin’ on Tustin in Orange. DH used to live down the street from it and loves the turkey avocado club. It is an older diner type place, the food there is very good and reasonably priced. After we ate and walked by DH’s old house, we headed to Angel Stadium. It’s always our 2nd stop. DH has to buy something and check out any new stuff. We left there and went to the first hotel of our trip.

We were staying at the Best Western Anaheim Inn for the first two nights of our trip before moving over to the GCH.
100_1146.jpg

Check in was quick and easy. We had reserved our room through Expedia and it was all ready for us. We had room 107, on the first floor and closer to the front. Yeah for us! They didn’t have an elevator (that I saw) and I didn’t want to climb three flights of stairs after trekking around DL all day. We had a double room that was smoking "optional". We are non-smokers and DH wasn’t happy about that. He let the staff know, but we decided to check out the room since it was in such a good location and see if it was too smoky or if it was livable. It was OK, so we stayed in it. It had two double beds and was clean and pretty comfy. The AC was a little loud. We walked down to check out the pool. It was small, but the area was clean and maintained. We decided to go to get our PAP’s all taken care of so Sat morning we could go straight to DL. Everyone always asks how far from the entrance/stoplight hotels are so here’s the pic from BWAI driveway to the stoplight to cross to go to DL. It was a pretty quick walk.

The entrance and the monorail!

100_1153.jpg

We found an open ticket booth and got everything all taken care of. We were kind of a pain because we had a DVC voucher for one of the PAP’s and the other we paid for with Disney dollars, a rewards card, and the last $48 was put on our credit card. We also used the DVC discount for that PAP. We apologized for being such a pain but the CM just laughed and was wonderful to us. BFDD was disappointed that we weren’t going to DL right then, but they had gotten a 5 day pass and we were going to be there until next Sat. We didn’t want to waste a day on a couple hours since it was already at 7p and we decided to wonder around DTD for a bit. (If only I knew then what I know now, we would have went in.)

We also checked out the GCH. We have walked through the lobby before, but this time we walked around the 2nd floor a bit also.

Everyone was bugging me about all the pics I was taking. I was a picture taking crazy woman this time. I took 542 pics. :joker: I now have many more than before to post and share. I will put a bunch in this TR and some on the other pic threads too. I know how I love looking at pics so ... hopefully this helps someone else to get through their countdown:goodvibes

We headed back to our room. DHBF and BFDD decided to stay in for a rest and we went to In-N-Out for some yummy burgers! We brought them some back, then off to sleep for our first day at DL!

I'm Excited to hear all about more of your trippy. Looks great so far!!

Thanks everybody! :thumbsup2 I am loving writing this trip report, I get to relive my trip because I really wish I was still there!!

Saturday - We woke up early. DH went out for some Winchell’s donuts, mmmm warm and fresh. We got everyone up and moving and made it to DL around 9a. Boy it is hard to get people movin’!! Especially since it we didn't make it to DL for more than 2 hours after we were awake!
100_1196.jpg

There was virtually no line at the MS Bank so we headed there first to get the PAP’s taken care of. :thumbsup2 Just a side note about AP’s. If you are renewing an AP, you can go to DCA guest relations to do it. They will reprint it for you using your previous pic. If this is your first AP, you have to get it at the MS Bank, or if you want a new pic taken. OK on with the TR …. The AP processing went quickly for us and DHBF, ended up taking a survey while we he waited. :teacher: You know the people wondering around asking you how long you are there for, where you are from, where you are staying, etc … and we were off to Tomorrowland.

We hit Star Tours first, which BFDD loved. We then ran over to HISTA and grabbed FP for Space since the standby wait was about 40 min and decided to head over to check out POTC. We stopped by Buzz on the way out of Tomorrowland, and headed over to Adventureland.

We stopped to check out the Tiki Room.

DH and I love this show  DHBF and BFDD didn’t care for it. In fact every time we went by it we had to hear about how they didn’t like it. Oh well, to each their own. DH and I think it is cute and the song is such a happy song you can’t help but smile. The ELP song is the same way for us. :cloud9: Anyway, we stopped for a pineapple spear and headed off to NOS in search of pirates and we had a lunch reservation to keep.

We made our way to POTC. This was mine and DH’s first time riding it since they made the changes. We both thought they did a good job incorporating Jack, Davy, and Hector, but DH had a slight twinge for the “old” Pirates. DHBF and BFDD thought it was awesome. :woohoo:
100_1235.jpg

100_1236.jpg

The view of where we would be eating lunch. Not a very good pic, but I am working on taking better night/dark pics!
100_1237.jpg

After riding POTC it was time for our 11:30 lunch reservation at BB! I was so excited to be eating here. We have both wanted to since the first time we saw it, although DH saw it way before I did since he grew up in the area.
100_1257.jpg

I checked us in and we went to the lobby and waited. I was so hoping for a waterside table. When they called us, there had only been a few people before us, so I was optimistic. We got the very last waterside table! We were all the way on the right side if you are facing the water. I was so happy!
100_1257.jpg

We were seated and they brought us our souvenir menus.
100_1245.jpg

DH and DHBF split the crab cakes appetizer. DH and I decided to split a plate so we could make sure to save room for dessert and save some money too. We had the seafood jambalaya, I had the wedge salad and he had the gumbo. DHBF had the prime rib and BFDD had the chicken kids meal.
100_1247.jpg

That’s what was left of the crab cakes in the background. DH said they were good, not the best he has ever had, but was not disappointed at all!

100_1254.jpg

100_1248.jpg

It was all very good, even the bread. DH and I split the Flying Dutchman cookie boat which was also awesome. It was warm and gooey ... mmmm.
100_1255.jpg

We had a terrific server and a great meal. DH’s didn’t even complain too much when the bill came. It helped that we got the discount because of the PAP. I can’t wait to eat here again!

Sorry I had to break it up, who knew you could only put 25 images in a post.:confused3

After lunch we looked around NOS a little and headed over to the HM.The lines weren’t bad and everyone loved the ride. We did get stopped in the room with the floating crystal ball, but only for a couple of minutes.
100_1259.jpg

100_1260.jpg

100_1263.jpg

After the HM, we headed back to grab FP for Indy, then to Space Mtn to use the FP from this morning.

We were all the way down to loading and heard weird loud beeping sound. Just after that, they announced that Space was down and it would be a while before it was back up. They gave us all a FP that was good for up to 5 people to come back later that day. We decided to head back to the hotel for some rest and a swim. On the way out we hit the Blue Ribbon Bakery for some macaroons … mmmm more heaven!
100_1202.jpg

100_1267.jpg

We hit the pool for a bit which was heated and we had a nice swim, then rested for a bit and headed back to DL for the evening. We hit Indy first to use the FP’s we had gotten earlier, then trekked back over to see if Space was back up and it was! This was also BFDD’s first roller coaster. We tried to explain to her what to expect so there wouldn’t be any problems during or after the ride. It was an awesome ride as usually and it turns out that she is now a roller coaster junkie! So we headed over to the Matterhorn so she could try that one out too. We did the Tomorrowland side and had a great time. The line was not too bad and went pretty quick.

After the Matterhorn, we knew it was getting kind of close to time to find a spot for the fireworks. So we walked around a bit and decided to check out Autopia. The standby line was as long as the FP return time, so we grabbed FP and took a round trip ride on the Monorail. When we got back the FP time was up, so we rode on the roadways of tomorrow, and headed out to find a spot for the parade and something to eat because we hadn’t eaten anything but the macaroons since our BB lunch.

We like to watch the parade from the left side of the circle in front of Plaza Inn. We threaded our way over there and found a spot that hadn’t been staked out yet. The guys headed over to grab chili dogs from Refreshment Corner. BFDD was wiped out. She was falling asleep. By they time the guys got back, I was sitting on the ground and she had crawled in my lap and fell asleep. After they got done eating, DHBF took her and headed out. The fireworks had started so they got to see them as they walked down MS to the front gate. DH and I stayed where we were and enjoyed the show.

After the fireworks, there was a mass exit of people and others rushing off to jump on Space or Indy. We waited a bit, then headed over to Adventureland for a dole whip and hopped on the JC for our nighttime run on there. It is fun to ride the JC both at night and during the day. A different experience for each time. The wait was pretty short less than 10 min, just enough time to finish the dole whip. After visiting the “8th wonder of the world,” we headed over for some more POTC. We were going to head up to Critter Country for Splash, but decided we could ride that later and we were tired, so we headed back to the room for bed. Besides we had to get up early tomorrow as we were moving to the GCH :cloud9: and still had to drive to SD to go to Sea World.

Sunday
Since SW was open until 11p, we decided to sleep in a little today. After everyone got up, we packed up and headed over to McDonald’s for breakfast. After breakfast, we head over to get checked into the GCH.pixiedust:

I checked us in while everyone else waited in the car. It went smoothly and the CM’s were wonderful, very courteous. The CM that was assisting me was earning his ears. I don’t remember his name, but he was very nice as was the CM that was showing him the ropes. I received my Welcome Home packet (I am a DVC member and used points for this stay), got all my info and we were off to SW. The room of course wasn’t ready, but I wanted to at least get everything taken care of so when we get back, we only need to get the room number and go on up.

The drive to SW took 2 ½ hours. :drive: The longest it has ever been for us. It was a holiday weekend though. We took the 5 which becomes the PCH some where along the way. We did make a quick stop for a rest at a look out point, but otherwise, it was a straight through drive.
Some pics from the look out spot.

I won’t go into the details of SW here, since this is my DL trip report, but we did have a good time – once we made it into the park. The parking was terrible. It took us 45 min to get from the front gate to where we parked, then another 30 min waiting in line just to get in. :crowded: It wasn't very organized at all. Thank goodness there were 4 of us. Since we had a voucher from getawaytoday.com, we had to go to guest services first, the line for that didn’t look too bad, but it was slow. The line to get in the front gate was forever long. We split up so by the time we got our voucher exchanged for our tickets, we were pretty close to getting in the park. I only mention this because it was such a contrast to DL. The lines may be long there to get in, but they are efficient and I have never waited as long as it took us that day at SW. Although it was a holiday weekend, you’d think they would have planned it out better. However, we still had a great time and enjoyed the animals and the shows. We even got a close up look of a sea turtle by chance.
100_1413.jpg

We stayed at SW almost until it closed then headed back to the GCH. I slept part of the way home and we stopped at In-N-Out burger for a quick bite once we got back to Anaheim. We went to our room, which looked very nice and had been turned down for us with chocolates on the bed We fell in bed and was instantly asleep.

Monday

We slept in a little today since we had such a late night the night before. I got up and took a few pics before everyone has a chance to get their stuff unpacked. We had such a great stay at the GCH :cloud9: and I would stay here again for sure!!:thumbsup2

We had a standard view room and the Monorail was right there! It took me until later in the week, but I finally got a pic of it going by, which I will post later. We were facing the front of the hotel, but with the trees there, it seemed like we were in a lodge somewhere. I thought it was a great view.

Today is the day we planned to see POTC3! We got up and grabbed a quick bite at Compass Books which is right by the AMC Theater. We had muffins and donuts, they have krispy kremes there! DH had purchased the tickets online ahead of time, but didn’t have the credit card he purchased them with, with him. So he had to trek back to the room for that, although it was a short trek since we were in the GCH. When he returned we finished up breakfast and headed into see the movie.

It was great we all loved it. When it was over, I wanted to stay to see the very end of the movie, you know the part after all the credits. Everyone else was itching to go, so I told them I would meet them outside when the movie was really over.

After the movie was over, I went outside looking for them, they are no where to be found. I check all over, no DH. I thought they may have gone back to the room, so I head back there, besides I had left my cell phone (so I had thought) in the room. I had to stop by the front desk to get another key made so I could get in the room, thank goodness I had my ID with me. I also made a quick stop at Guest Services to see if they can do the balloon/first button/autograph picture surprise for BFDD. I get that all set up and they are going to bring it up to the room after while. I go to the room, no DH and no cell phone. I head back to the theater, still no sign of them. I check around some more and head back to the room again, on the way down the hall, I see them walking in the front door of the GCH. They were off looking for me. :headache: They said had waited “right outside the theater” for me and I never came out. Hmmm … well that was 45 min wasted. Well we are all now very hungry, so we head over to Tortilla Joe’s for lunch.

Lunch was pretty yummy. The guys both had the chicken burrito, which was HUGE.
100_1426.jpg

I had the mango chicken sandwich.
100_1425.jpg

BFDD had a childs beef and bean burrito.
100_1427.jpg

My chicken was so good! It has a slightly sweet taste from the mangos. DH also got an appetizer of guacamole, which was also very good. The salsa they have with the chips was good too, it is a little spicy though.

It was a little cool in the shade and the wind was blowing, so BFDD wanted to see about getting a sweatshirt. We headed out to look in a few shops and ended up at the World Of Disney. Once she got her sweatshirt, we were headed to DCA for the rest of the day!

We headed over to DCA . I stopped for some pics of the GCH quiet pool on the way.
100_1430.jpg

100_1431.jpg

We headed to Soarin first. It is such a great ride and one of my favorites.
100_1434.jpg

100_1435.jpg

After Soarin, we head over to California Screamin’.
100_1437.jpg

100_1439.jpg

Where we found out that BFDD is a roller coater junkie, as long as it doesn’t go upside down. She didn’t care for that part at all, but did pretty well and wasn’t sick or anything. We stopped at Pizza Oom Mow Mow for something to drink and to decide what BFDD feels like going on now since the roller coaster wasn’t her thing, we wanted to let her pick. She didn’t really want to do anything, but go back to the room. I decided I wasn’t leaving DCA without riding TOT. So they went back to the room and DH and I headed over to TOT.

On the way to TOT!!
100_1440.jpg

Stopping for a churro too…
100_1446.jpg

I love love love TOT. It makes me laugh/scream and I have a permanent smile for a while afterwards. DH on the other hand, likes it, and rides it frequently for me, but would probably be happy riding it once per trip. I tell him all the time that he doesn’t have to with me, but he is sweet like that, so he goes with me every time.
100_1455.jpg

100_1457.jpg

After that it was getting later, and since we had such a long day on Sunday, we decided to head back to the room too for some more rest since tomorrow was another DL day.

I did feel like we didn’t get much done today, but all the time we were gone yesterday at SW coupled with the long drive, had worn us out. We spent the rest of the night watching TV and just enjoying the GCH.

They had delivered the surprise for BFDD and it was there when they returned to the room. She really liked it. There were signed pics of Mickey and Minnie, plus the princesses, also one of almost everybody in front of the castle. They were all in black and white and very cool. There were also some crayons and pictures to color. There were several balloons and of course her 1st Visit button. I wish I had taken a pic of it to post, but I didn’t think of it until it was too late.

Absolutely loving your TR and your photos!

Is this something they do at all the DL hotels for first-time visitors? We will be visiting next May (after our Repo cruise) for the first time and DD5 would be over the moon to get a surprise like that!:goodvibes

Thanks!

I believe they do it at all the DLR hotels. I spoke with Guest Services after we had checked in to have it done. I think you can also ask when you check in. There are many wonderful things to learn from the DIS! Have fun on your cruise!

Tuesday
This morning we started out with a plan to go to a good breakfast and head off the DL for the day. So we headed off to Coco’s. We always go to the one that is a little ways down Harbor instead of going to the one that is on Katella. There’s a lot less people usually. We had a pretty good breakfast. I had some yummy cheese blintzes … mmmm.

DH decided to get some gas since we had the car out and while we were at the gas station, we saw the weather for the day. Yes that’s right, there were TV’s at the pumps! I thought it was a little weird, but we were able to get the weather forecast, so it was all good. :) We had originally planned on going to the beach on Thursday, but it looked like today would be the better day to do that. So we headed back to the hotel to gather up our stuff.

DH and I had also planned on checking out the DVC SSR model that was now at DL since we haven’t been to WDW … yet. I had called our guide before we left home to let her know we were coming and wanted to check it out. So when we got back to the room, I called to see if she had time available. She did, so DH and I headed over to there to check that our before we went to the beach. The model rooms were awesome! I am glad we got to see them in person so we know what to expect. All the pics are great, but you can’t beat seeing it in person. We are even more excited for our trip to WDW this fall. :cloud9: We had a nice chat with our guide and then headed back to the GCH to head out to the beach.

It was a beautiful day, although the water was a little cold, DH and BFDD played in the water and had a great time. DH said he saw some dolphins playing while he was out there.
100_1460.jpg

100_1479.jpg

100_1480.jpg

We took a walk down the pier. It was nice and we got to see sea lions swimming around the end of the pier! It was pretty awesome. It was also pretty much the only time during the trip I didn’t carry the camera with me! ARGH!!! :headache: I figured we had already seen the pier before and I had plenty of pics of it, so I left the camera in the car after taking pics of DH and BFDD playing in the water. I was a little disappointed about that, but it was still pretty great to see them in the wild. We walked back down the pier and ate at Charlie’s Chili, that place it a must try if you head to Newport. We then walked around a little, DH grabbed a frozen banana and I got a gelato, then we headed back to get ready to for the Angel’s game!

We had a great time at the game and the Angels won!! Whooo hoooo!!!
100_1492.jpg

We stopped by for some late night Taco Bell and headed back to the GCH for a good nights sleep.

Wednesday
We got a really slow start today. I am not sure if it was just all the running that was catching up with us, the late nights, or a combination of both, but we kept getting up later and later as our vacation wore on. :sad2: While I was waiting for everyone to be ready, I hung out on the balcony waiting for the Monorail to come by.
100_1502.jpg

I finally got Monorail Red and Purple!!
100_1503.jpg

100_1504.jpg

Anyway, we didn’t even make it out the room in time to have breakfast, so we headed over to Jack in the Box because DH wanted breakfast food. That was an interesting trip. BFDD decided she didn’t like anything at JITB and wasn’t eating. After her dad and her had a talk, she decided on a cheeseburger. We were then trying to figure out what the plan was for the rest of the day.

DH and I were going to DL. We only had three more days left, and I felt like I had barely been to the parks. BFDD didn’t want to go any where today. She wanted to hangout in the room and do nothing. So we stopped by Target to get some movies (there’s a DVD player in the room) so that is what they did, and DH and I headed off to DL.

We hopped on the Monorail and headed over to Tomorrowland. I took a few pics of the Finding Nemo ride.

Then we headed over and rode the Matterhorn. After that, stopped for a Mickey ice cream bar, and headed over to IASW. It was a little broken up, but still yummy!:thumbsup2

They let us take the ice cream on the ride, so we enjoyed them while cruising through IASW. We then headed over to Alice in Wonderland for a trip down a rabbit hole. I wanted to get a DL hat so we stopped by the Madhatter and I picked up a new one. It was very cute and I wanted to have my name put on it only to find out they only put your name on the Mickey Ear hats now. We had bought DH a hat there last year and I showed the CMhis hat, and she said they don't do it anymore. :sad1: Oh well, I guess I missed out.

We headed over to Pinocchio and rode it with minimal wait.

We wanted to ride PPF, but of course it was early afternoon by then and the line was at least 40min, so we skipped it for now.

We headed out of FL for a spin on BTMRR.

After that we were going to catch the Billy Hill and the Hillbillies show. As we were walking by, the Columbia was just loading, neither of us have ever been on it, so we hopped on for a ride around the Rivers of America. It was pretty cool. We went below deck to check out what was down there. Be sure to check it out if you take a ride on the Columbia.

After our ride on the Columbia, we headed over to watch Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. We got a hot fudge sundae to share while we watched the show. They were pretty funny and it was our first time catching this show too.

They have all sorts of food you can enjoy while watching the show. It’s a great place for lunch and a break.

DH wanted to go for a swim this afternoon, so we decided to head over to DCA for a couple of quick rides and then go back to the room. On the way out of DL, we got to see the Flag Ceremony, another first for us.

In DCA, we rode Monsters, Inc, which we hadn’t been ever been on either, then headed over to drop in on the TOT for another chance for me to laugh/scream.

After our ride to the Twilight Zone, we headed back to the GCH for a swim. We were going to hop on Soarin’, but the line was pretty long there too and the FP were for much later. So we skipped it and headed to the room.

DHBF and BFDD had a nice relaxing day and were ready for a swim too. We all had a great time at the pool. We stayed on the quiet pool side and sat in the hot tub for a bit. It wasn’t crowded and the water was just right.

After our swim, we headed out for some dinner at Marie Calendars. We caught the Angel’s game on TV there and had a nice dinner. On the way back, the guys decided they were going to go check out the action in DTD and have a couple of beers. BFDD was sleeping as soon as we got back to the room, I stayed with her and they went out. I had plans for EE tomorrow, even if I had to go by myself.

I was sleeping by the time they returned, but was awakened by the fire alarm around 2a or so. I think woke up long enough to ask DH if there was really a fire or if it was a false alarm, then went right back to sleep. Apparently BFDD didn’t even wake up. DH and DHBF could see a bunch of people standing outside, but when they checked with the staff, they said everything was OK. So they let us continue sleeping. We never found out what actually happened to make the fire alarm go off, but there were no fires, so alls well that ends well.

Fantastic Trip Report. :thumbsup2

I love the pics of the GCH rooms, the monorail, Nemo & food pics. (Next time, we're gonna do Billy Hill mid day for snacks and hot fudge sundaes :woohoo: )

You have a good eye for pictures that are unique (at least not typical). You have shown me many things I haven't seen yet at DLR. :3dglasses

Keep it coming. :cool1:

PS - the pic of the Angel Lineup on the scoreboard was cool, too.
