My son and I are really into Harry Potter. Well he got me into it (he is 10 years old). We thought it would be awesome if Universal had a cruise ship like Disney does and they would theme it Harry Potter........Anyone know if Universal has ever discussed a possibility of a ship? Although the movie is Warner Bros. but Universal has the rights for the parks...... just curious :rolleyes1

Me too. Disney really messed up when they didn't try to grab onto that one.

I would expect a hogwarts themed hotel more likely but maybe I'm just dreaming.

The ship would keep disappearing under an invisibility cloak. Whenever something went wrong in the dining room or housekeeping, the crew would just shrug and say, "Mischief managed." The grand stair case would keep shifting, and it wouldn't be due to the ocean waves. A new way of getting seasick even when the ocean is calm?

I really hope a cruise line does a Harry Potter cruise -- would love to try it.

LOL! that would be awesome!!

Doesn't Royal have some sort of connection/contract with Universal? Maybe they would do it, one never knows......:genie:

We are going to Universal next winter and so disappointed that none of the on-site hotels have any HP theme at all. I would totally be willing to pay the money for a room just with small touches to enhance our stay. And I'm on Universal's email list for surveys and tell them every time.

No, no, no! We'd miss out on the announcement. Can't have that. They can have the luggage, though.

I was thinking more in terms of avoiding TSA security checks at the airport and the long flights. The cruise crew could still announce anyone who wanted to be announced on their way to dinner.
