On this occasion of my 1,000th post I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of my Disboard friends for all of their help, inspiration, support, and humor! (Thank you to "Cast Member B" for this suggestion!) I joined the boards here this past October, hoping to get some helpful tips for our WDW trip. I never imagined I would join the world of "computer chatters" and I can't believe I ended up with such a great group of "friends"!!
I have learned so much here and not just about WDW. I have learned to about compassion, understanding, and seeing different sides of an issue. I have learned how lucky I am to have my health, to have loving, healthy children and husband and other family members. I have read so many posts about people who have had terrible troubles in their lives and it has made me realize what a blessed life I have. I have seen how much caring there can be among a group of, for the most part, strangers..... people who have never met, but share a common interest and who truly care about each other, whether they have met face to face or not!
On the practical side, I learned GREAT tips about saving and earning money over on the budget boards..... and how to spend that money over on the Scrapping board!! I learned exactly where to stand in the rose garden at the MK to get a GREAT view of Wishes fireworks!! And where to go in the AK in order to see the parade twice!! It was truly a "magical moment" of our most recent trip. My kids made cookies in the Land Pavillion at Epcot, an event I'm sure I never would have learned about anywhere else but here!!
I know that this post is long already, so I won't go on, but please know that I truly appreciate all of my friends here on the boards. You are a great group and I am truly blessed to have found you all!! Thanks again.... here's to another great 1,000 posts!
