I wonder if this rule that applies to Cruise Lines would also apply to Disney buses.

I just saw an article about a settlement with a Cruise Line concerning accessible issues. One of the items mentioned the that the rule required no extra wait times for accessible buses. I wonder if this rule would also apply to Disney buses.

"Accessible over-the-road buses, shuttle buses, and vans for transportation between the airport, ship, and hotels and on shore excursions, with no extra wait times for accessible transportation."

I have tried to do some vacation tours for a person in a wheelchair and it's really, really tough even by land. I will say Grayline seems to be one of the better bus companies for this purpose.

Most of the time I find us having to go by car and doing most of our own touring on our own.

I had thought about a cruise and I just didn't want to take a chance. For one, in our case there are three of us and to pay the cost for three and not be able to do what everyone else can do never seemed worth it to me. Getting on the boat is one thing, but everything else seems near impossible.

Hopefully, this will lead the way and open doors to better vacations for all.

Unfortunately, most of the shore excursions on cruise lines are run by non US operators so I think the rules are different.

There is probably at least one shore excursion that is accessible, so that meets the requirments??? (I'm really just guessing here).

I was looking at the shore excursions in Nassau for our upcoming cruise and most of them stated no wheelchairs or ECVs allowed.

great question, maybe we should ask WDW and see what the response is
