I would and I'm guessing they may do this one day. They (Disney) make quite a bit of money from the multiple dessert parties that are already held around WS every night.

There is an Illuminations dessert party. It's for grand gatherings.

Yes, it's just for Grand Gatherings or weddings/private events.

Yes, it's very popular for after WDW wedding receptions or as a reception itself. They use multiple locations. Also, for grand gatherings and some corporate parties.

In case you're interested in planning such an event here's Lurkyloo's info on How To. She planned a dessert party for her and her husband's anniversary. I feel like my self appointed job on the DIS is plugging Lurklyoo (that doesn't sound right! ). She has SO much info!
