Back on May 7th I asked on this board if anyone knew how to get another canvas DVC tote bag that you receive after purchasing DVC. I didn't explain why I needed a new one but I got some great responses from DISers. The kindest one was from bobbiwoz who said she would send me one if I paid for postage. What a kind lady! The bag came yesterday.

The reason why I needed the bag was for my ds13 who is an asperger's kid. He LOVED the bag we got when we closed last August and used it as his school bag and carried just about everything in it - if you know asperger's kids they tend to carry a lot of "baggage". Well, the other day in school another student "accidently" sprayed the bag with permanent paint and it looks horrible. Ds was devastated and very upset and wanted to know if we could get another one. (again, if you know asperger kids they can get VERY upset over things other kids may not). I came to the DIS boards looking for help and I received some.

Thank you again bobbiwoz as your kindness meant a lot to my family!

Thats awesome to hear!! Dis folks sticking behind each other....On a side note...Having worked with school kids for the past 5 years from a legal side, I would make the kids parents pay for what you had to. Too often bad kids do things and bad parents condone it......I cannot tell you how many times I heard "not my child" even though I had video or dozens of statements from impartial witnesses.

I am glad this worked out for you....And you should seriously consider taking some action....Only way that bad kids might learn, since they have no support from parents.

Things like this aren't reported often enough. We hear so much bad news but seemingly never the good stuff.
I'm glad your son got a new bag. As for Bobbi, God will bless, for what goes around comes around - and sometimes it's good!

JESW, I know what that must have been like for your ds, my ds11 is also an Aspie. We had to root around in the kids' tv room because my cleaning girls "hid" his big James Bond book of trivia.
