"I will not wink at Prince Charming" Oct 2010 TR (NEW Day 1 10/26)

Hi! My name is Grace and this past weekend, from the 14th to the 19th, I went to the lovely land of Disney (and Universal/Islands of Adventures). I had such a great time! Now the cast list is a little bit long. You see I went with my friend, Rachel's, family, which has 2 parents and 6 kids, plus her brother's friend and myself. Also her mother's two sisters and their family's came as well.

Me - My name is Grace, I'm 16 and I absolutely love Disney World! I play volleyball and softball, I love Tinkerbell, Minnie Mouse, and all of the Disney Princesses. (I don't have picture's for everyone but you'll see them along the way)

This comes to a total of 17 people, living in one house, for 6 days.

We stayed at the Emerald Island Resort, in house 8460. The houses were so nice! Seven bedroom, five bathroom houses that each had a pool and their own game rooms. The resort included houses, like ours, that were rented out and house that we lived in all year. I didn't take many pictures of the house which is unfortunate because it was so beautiful.

Hello to anyone lurkers, don't be shy come on out and say hi! Day 1 of my Florida journey was very eventful and long.

October 14th

I had been awaiting this day for over a year, I had a countdown on as the background of my computer, a countdown calender in my locker, along with my agenda book and my cell phone. I was so excited to finally be going back to Disney World! I had everything backed and in its place, I had my outfit picked out and hanging up, ready to be put on as so as I woke up! I had trouble falling asleep the night before because in just a few hours I would be boarding a plane to the most magical place in the entire world! I did however fall asleep at a reasonable hour.
I woke up and got dressed and ready at 3 am. It was so strange waking up and getting dressed while it was still dark out. I wasn't even the slightest bit tired, I mean I was going to Disney World, how could I be! My mom and I left our house at 3:30 to get to Rachel's house by 4, as they had requested. I plane was scheduled to leave at 6:24, what a strange time. We were running a few minutes late on the road and arrived at their house at just a few minutes after 4. I walked into the house and Danie (Danielle) ran up to me and said, "Guess where I'm going today?! DISNEY WORLD!!" It was so precious how excited all the kids were.
We left Rachel's house at about 4:50 or so. We arrived at the drop off area at the airport and did curbside check-in with JetBlue. It was definitely worth the extra two dollars per bag. However we had some bags that did indeed go over the 50 pound limit and fees were payed. The funniest part of the morning was when Rachel's dad pulled an empty duffel bag out of another bag and started putting thing from the overweight bags inside of the empty bag, it was as though he magically made the bag appear. We were done with check in by 5:20 and quickly got through security with no problems. We pre-boarded, due to the amount of children we had in our party, and were in our seats by 6 am. The plane left at about 6:30 just on time. JetBlue was really nice, the seat each had their own tv's which was really cool although the snacks were on the funky side. We landed in Orlando at about 9:40. The temperature change from when we got on the plane to when we got off was probably 30 degrees higher which was extremely nice.
We went to Alamo to get cars for everyone and a just a little trouble there we were on the road by 10:30/10:45ish. We went and picked out our cars, Rachel, Mike, Scott, Joe, and I would be riding in our lovely economy sized car for the week.

We were on the road and on the way to the house by 11 am. We accidently went through a toll, it was so misleading and by the time we realized that we were going under the fastpass lanes it was to late to go to the pay area. We stopped at Burger King right before we got to the house due to the excessive hunger everyone was suffering. It was only then that we realized as Joe was speeding in and out of lanes that Bryan and Kathy had been following us to get to the house. After our BK stop we went to the house which was just a few minutes away. Everyone brought their suitcases in and checked the house out. After discrepancies about who should have which rooms the parents decided to draw straws, longest got to pick first and so on, this was only in the case of the three sets of parents and their children. Kim got the longest straw and chose the biggest room, then Kathy who chose the next biggest and Marsha who got stuck with the dinky room. Kids rooms were decided amongst themselves. Rachel and I took the girliest room. Everyone got unpacked and settled, then the parents went grocery shopping as we relaxed. The house was amazing and beautiful, there were so many things to explore.
