I went to a Land of Dreams to see an Ogre and a Donkey. There were Trolls. I saw a light show over the water and on the Castle. I saw a Epic Model.

I always have fun looking through the Port of Entry Christmas Store.
IMG_9879.jpeg

This tree in the center used to be a Quidditch Decorated Tree. It is now decorated with Hogwarts decorations. The Sorting Hat is on top.

IMG_9876.jpeg

There are trees decorated for each house at Hogwarts.
IMG_9878.jpeg

IMG_9877.jpeg

The Hogwarts 9 3/4 tree was new to me.
IMG_9873.jpeg

IMG_9872.jpeg

The owl tree with the acceptance letters was also new since I had visited in March.

Up next lunch at one of my favorite spots for food in IOA.

After my walk around The Port of Entry Christmas Store it was already 11:45 am and I decided it was time for lunch. I wanted to stop in to Confisco Grille for lunch.

IMG_9881.jpeg

The restaurant was moderately busy. I asked if the Passholder lounge was open upstairs and it was. So I decided to eat there.

I took a few photos while sitting inside waiting.
IMG_9883.jpeg

IMG_9884.jpeg

After a 15 minute wait I was escorted to the Passholder lounge. Their are stairs of an elevator to get to the lounge.

It is never typically busy in the lounge and today was no different. It is a nice open space and the tables are spaced out nicely. There were only two other people besides me in the lounge. There are tables to set at out on the balcony, but it was warm so inside for me.
IMG_9885.jpeg

IMG_9887.jpeg

I usually order a couple of appetizers and just pick on those instead of a heavy meal. I really like the hummus they make, but there was some seasonal changes to the recipe and one had pomegranate in it and the other had walnuts in it and I was told they could not be taken out. So I passed on the hummus.

I ordered the nacho’s and spinach artichoke dip.
IMG_9897.jpeg

IMG_9898.jpeg

IMG_9899.jpeg

The nachos were good and the spinach artichoke dip was ok. There was lot of olive oil in the spinach dip and it became a bit over powering after the top layer was scrapped off.

I nibbled on what I wanted enjoyed the nice atmosphere of the Passholder lounge. My waitress was wonderful and attentive.

If you are an AP holder ask if the AP lounge is open upstairs so you can enjoy your meal removed from the hustle and bustle. It is nice.

After I was done and paid the check. I wondered out on the upstairs patio for a few photos.

I took a few photos on the way to have a look at the change to the typical Halloween Boutique for the summer.
IMG_9907.jpeg

I keep saying I’am going to get something from Green Eggs and Ham. I Have seen people eating tater tots with topping from there, but have never stopped myself.

IMG_9908.jpeg

It was pretty smoking hot by now and it was funny seeing the torch by the Griffin burning welcoming all to the Lost Continent.
IMG_9909.jpeg

Always have to get the obligatory photo of Mytho’s.

And the Trident on what is now closed Poseidon's Adventure.

It was starting to look a lot like HHN.
IMG_9915.jpeg

They had turned the All Hallow’s Eve Boutique into the Monsters Hideaway. I guess this means Monsters take vacation too.

Not sure what to think of the Bride of Frankenstein in her hula garb…LOL
IMG_9922.jpeg

Of course there was Little Boo merchandise.

These T-shirts are very colorful and Little Boo is front and center.

There was an awesome selection of T-shirts for sale….I saw the typo above this morning and fixed it.

I had seen these bags before.

Inside the boutique they had set up a Lounge for the Monsters to enjoy on their vacation.
IMG_9937.jpeg
This was a fun book and I was tempted to buy it.
IMG_9938.jpeg

This was behind the bar and had the appearance of water in it with a sunken ship and skeleton fish swimming by.
IMG_9939.jpeg

These candles were awesome and I intended to but a couple then got distracted with taking more photos and did not circle back for them.

I hope they still have the bigfoot t shirt when we arrive in November. I collect bigfoot items:)

I was ready to leave IOA. So on my way out I took a few pictures.

The Mystic Fountain is always fun to stop and watch. The person who voices the inside of the fountain and interacts with people will give them a good soaking with water at times. The Children love it.

IMG_9987.jpeg

I made the short walk over to Universal Studios and after checking trough the gate walked through the store to cool off.

Some of the desserts they were selling were really cute.

The kids loved this slide. When you were at the very end of the slide it made a farting noise.

If you have a hankering for a treat while you are in the Swamp they have you covered.

I saw a number of adults and children walking around with the Shrek Pretzel and green cheese and they seemed to enjoy it.

I was able to get some pictures of the park area, but it was busy enough. The park is spread out nicely so there is not a lot of crowding in one place.

There is an area called Poppy’s Playground.
IMG_0126.jpeg

The little ones really liked this area.
IMG_0123.jpeg

Guy Diamond the Troll was out for pictures.

Adults and children both were in line for pictures with the characters.

Its was pretty hot out and I’am always surprised how well the TM’s manage to be in those heavy costumes in the heat.

I had seen a Youtube person who tried some of the Troll Treat ice cream and she said how refreshing the lemonade ice cream was. I don’t eat ice cream typically. It does not agree with me. I was hot and needed something refreshing so I was game for a Troll Treat.
IMG_3776.jpeg
I did not take this picture of the Troll Treats. I looked it up on line so you could see how cool it was. It is a huge Troll boom box. I was hot that day and focused more on treat to cool down then the structure I guess.

Here is the menu
IMG_3775.jpeg

I ordered the Poppy-licious Pink and it was delicious and refreshing and a perfect snack to cool down in the heat.

It is pink lemonade soft serve with flower sprinkles and a light dusting of edible glitter. I think it tastes a little like lemon meringue pie. Of all the treats I have had in the parks over the years this is the best by far.

There is another Troll ice cream called BroZone Berry which is a huckleberry soft serve with leaf sprinkles. I will have to give this one a try sometime. The YouTuber who I saw try this one online said it would turn your tongue a little blue. Will have to see if that is true……..for scientific purposes of course….LOL
IMG_3789.jpeg

There is a small building that holds the Mama Luna Feline Fiesta interactive area for the littles. There were a few little ones enjoying pushing the buttons.

Going to go back over to Shreks Swamp

King Harold’s Swamp Symphony was really cute.
IMG_0270.jpeg

King Harold sits majestically in the center of his performing Frog choir that sings (croaks) when you step on the lily pads on the ground.
IMG_0134.jpeg

IMG_0136.jpeg

The kids loved it. I may or may not have stepped on a few myself….LOL
IMG_0137.jpeg

The last frog on the right gets an honorable mention because I felt its croak was the best.
IMG_0138.jpeg

There are areas in the Swamp to get wet.
IMG_0275.jpeg

Of course one would have to have access to water in the swamp. Universal has done a wonderful job of adding some nice areas in DreamWorks Land for the littles to have fun getting wet and parents too.

There was anther little area for the littles to get wet. It was a type of splash pad.

IMG_0110.jpeg

And they have a dryer to help dry off if needed.
IMG_0276.jpeg

Now it was time to walk a little deeper into the park and Check out Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp.
IMG_0108.jpeg

IMG_0109.jpeg

Just a warning you will get wet when the bucket tilts in this play area.
IMG_0111.jpeg

IMG_0112.jpeg

IMG_0113.jpeg

IMG_0116.jpeg

There was an interactive screen with Po on it for a show.
IMG_0115.jpeg

IMG_0117.jpeg

This an area this kids really like. It is so nice that they replaced the Barney and previous splash area with something the little ones now can relate to and enjoy some splash time on a hot day.

There is live show called DreamWorks Imagination Celebration in the theatre that is located in the back left of the park. The show includes characters from Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda. There are live actors, animated characters and dancers. The times for the show are posted outside the Theatre. I did not wait around to see this show. I will do that another time.

I was really impressed with this new park. This is a park that is really going to put Universal on the map with the little ones.
