I went in search of the $50.00 promotion and here is the info I got for you guys

I live in Miami Fl. I was holding out on buying the tickets but thanks to you guys I went running to get them. Here at this Disney Store which is located in the Dadeland Mall the CM told me it was good for the park hoppers and also for our Florida Residency passes (Annual and seasonal) She said that the 50 dollars could not be used for these tickets (but I am thinking that they could probably be used at another time for tickets) and that they are only good at the Disney Store. Can some one please tell me how they got the Disney Dollars. This promotion is going thru November 25. HTH

I took my Disney Store gift cards to my local Disney Store and bought Disney Dollars with them. I didn't think it could be done, but read here that someone said it could. I exchanged $400 in gift cards for $400 in Disney Dollars, and they will come in handy at WDW next month.

You can use Disney Dollars at both counter service and sit down restaurants in the parks.

Couldn't you use the DD to buy passes (Child) if you wanted to? Just a thought!!!

said you could not use the cards to buy passes. But if you get DD, you could turn around and buy the passes somewhere else. Doesn't make sense. But I'm thrilled about the DD.inkbounc

I plan on getting these passes on Saturday at the Florida Mall on our way to the hotel from the airport. I called and they said if you buy a Park Hopper Pass you will get a free t-shirt with each one purchased and a $50 Gift Card with each adult one purchased. The Gift Card is like a store's gift certificate which you can use in the store to buy stuff. I was told I could use the Gift Card to buy Disney Dollars.

For anyone else, have you done the math? It is cheaper to buy an adult pass (4 -day is $203.52) and get the $50 GC for a child to use, rather than buying the a child's pass for $161.12. A savings of $7.60.

Can a child use an adult PHP for admission to the parks?

Unofficially, I think you would have no problem in letting your child use them. But, I actually had a CM tell me I could take those adult tickets and exchange them to child tickets and get a refund for the difference. If you wanted to try it, that would be an extra plus in buying the kids adults tickets with the $50 promo.
