I went for my first round of dress shopping......**PICS ADDED ON PG.2**

And I found the one!!! I went to Davids with my mom and Grandma on Tuesday to go look at dresses. I had done a ton of research and made a list of dresses to try on. There was one dress from there that I have seen in the magazines and saw when I went dress shopping for my sister and I kept telling myself I wouldn't even try it on because I was hoping for something a little cheaper. Well we get there and the girl is putting dresses on me and I didn't even realize she put me in my dream dress until I get out of the dressing room and look in the mirror. Dang this lady! lol It was everything I thought it would be. (and hey its $200 off!!) I always thought I would want it in white but after trying it on I'm going to get it in the champagne color.

This dress is changing my entire wedding. originally DFi and I wanted to do everything very modern and we were having orange and purple as our colors. Well there is no way that is going to fly with this dress. Its okay though. We are now doing a more elegant wedding and the bridesmaids dresses will be chocolate/latte and we'll probably have tiger lilies as flowers (which are my fav!) DFi is happy, his first choice was brown. Plus this should make my life easier. Do you know how hard it is to find bright orange and bright purple wedding items? Plus our families should be happier, not many people were feeling the bright colors. My mom even found a dress that was practically made for her while we were there.

All in all the day was not AT ALL what i was expecting, but I could not be any happier.

That is a gorgeous dress! It was definitely my "dream" dress as well. Unfortunately, with my skin tone the champagne color made me look washed out. You will look fabulous on your wedding day in that dress. I definitely think it will look awesome with your color scheme! Congrats on finding your dress!!

Holy moly that's my dress too! I never thought I would like a dress that big but I tried it on and it looked amazing. I am getting married in December so I am going to go with red and gold as my colors. My bridesmaids will wear black and carry red roses tied with champagne ribbons. The back of this dress is absolutely gorgeous.

I love your dress! Mine has accents of the champagne color as well, so that is probably why I am so fond of yours. I had originally picked a dress with pink embroidery and was going to go with pink for my bridesmaids, but like you I had to change my whole color scheme once I found the champagne colored dress. I ended up going with a sage green dress with champagne colored bows around the bust for my girls dresses.

That is a beautiful dress! I work at David's and I can tell you that you made the right choice by picking the champagne color. That dress just looks to plain in white. I'm so happy for you!

it took a while but I finally uploaded pics of me in my dress.

David's Bridal Ladies and my grandma helping me see what colors look nice with my dress. Doesn't the girl in orange look happy? lol

Me with the veil. I love it to death but it was soo expensive. I don't know if I'll get a tiara yet.
