OMG! The kids had seen Marley and Me last year, they watched it while I was doing housework, so I got bits and pieces of it, but I had never really sat down to watch it.

Last night, I did! OMG, how could you not fall in love with that big lug of a dog??? The funniest scene, and I could not stop laughing, even when I think about it, I laugh out loud, is when John took Marley to the open house.

SPOILER ALERT!

He lets the dog out of the car ahead of him, and Marley runs in the front door, through the kitchen, past the realtor talking to a buyer, out the back door and jumps in the pool. He is then just swimming around, like he owned it. John comes in, picks up an info sheet, and asks the realtor who's dog that is. :happytv::happytv:

Loved. loved, loved the movie. But, OMG, for some reason, that pool scene struck my funny bone, and I don't think I have seen something that funny in a movie in a long time.

I loved the movie and the book. Wish I could watch again but I've never made such a fool out of myself sobbing wildly in a movie theater!

I read the book, and laughed so hard I woke up my daughter-upstairs.

I also cried so hard at the end I needed a nap. After losing my yellow lab last year, there is no way I could or would ever watch the movie. My parents watched it and my Mom called me and said to never watch it-she said they both cried like little kids.

yes a very good movie. i could only watch it one time its just too sad at the end. a great comedy movie in the first half, but the second half was just way too much sadness.:sad2::sad2::sad2:

I couldn't watch the entire movie. The part where they go to listen to the baby's heartbeat and it wasn't there sent me to the bathroom crying my eyes out!!!

I can't read the book or watch the movie.

My Dog Skip just about did me in.

Is the book better than the movie? I watched the movie and cryed my eyes out for about the last half of it. :sad1:

Loved the movie!!! DD and I bawled because it reminded us so much of our Shadow but the mischief Marley did reminded us him as well and made us remember the good times :flower3:

I agree once is enough for that one....:guilty:

Yes, this is one of those movies that I am glad that I saw but don't want to see again. I had read the book before, and like others laughed like a crazy person and then cried and cried. We had a Marley for 11 years, only his name was Opie. He drove us crazy just like Marley. I wanted my DH to read the book, but he is so tenderhearted about animals that I marked the part where it started to get sad. He did OK at the movie for some reason.

The movie did not make me as sad as the book. Probably due to Owen Wilson, I don't think he fit the part that well.

I watched it recently myself. OMG! It was a great movie. I sobbed and cried at the end. I had been afraid to watch it before because of the ending. Its a very funny movie, but oh so sad at the end.
