I was thinking of making curtains for my side windows on my minivan...

Any clever suggestions on how to hang them? I want something that I can easily remove. Suction cups, maybe?

We have a conversion van and I would consider going to a Van conversion place to see if they could install "shades". We have them and they are awesome they pull up and down on a "string" that is attached on the car. The kids can handle it easily and they work perfect...just a thought I can't believe they are very expensive

I can't imagine that they would be illegal for minivans and okay for conversion vans. My ds has a type of "flicker vertigo" where he gets car sick from looking out the side window (as opposed to looking down-- he's fine when he plays with his game boy MOST OF THE TIME, or watches a movie). So I was thinking that curtains or shades might help.
I'll have to see if there is a conversion van place around here anywhere.... I certainly don't want to do something that wouldn't be safe!

We just had dark film installed on the windows. Never thought of curtains. I don't know if you can or not. Good luck.

I couldn't find anything helpful. I know there are "upfitters" for conversion vans, but I don't know if this is something that could be purchased alone or as part of a package. I couldn't find much info, so if anyone has any suggestions??

I found a Van conversion place by using Yahoo yellow pages for New Jersey. I would just cal a few in your area and see if its possible to have done. I like the shades because they can go up and down and aren't always dark like a film

Yes....suction cups....cut the fabric the size of the window and make buttonholes in the tops of the "curtains" to hang from the suction cups. You might need 2 at the corners and one in the middle. You could even put them at the bottoms to stretch the "curtain" tightly. Easily removable!
