We are going to Disney May 9th. This is our first trip home. The only availability was at SSR, so we took it, but really wanted our home resort--BWV. (No flames please. I think SSR would be lovely, but just wanted to have our first trip home be at BWV). Well, the call came through that we had gotten BWV for the last night of our stay. We didn't really want to move for just one day, so turned it down and changed our waitlist option to two day blocks. Well, as luck would have it, we got the first two nites of our three nite stay at BWV, preferred. But, they didn't have anything for our third and last nite!!!!
I was kicking myself for not having taken that last night when I had the opportunity!! Plus, we were in the same position as before, moving for our last nite. This was my first experience with the wait list. And, boy, did I blow it!
Well, lo and behold, MS called me on Friday to tell me that I got BWV for the last nite!!! It's a standard, so I still have to move, but not from one resort to another. I'm jumping for joy!
And, I've learned a valuable lesson about the wait list... Grab it up when it's offered because you never know...
