This was me when I was 10. I'm now 31 with kids of my own (girl-3 and son-5). I was able to show them this sword and tell them the story for the first time earlier this week at Disneyland.

Wow, that is pretty neat! I've never heard of that ceremony before! Is that a polaroid they took of you?

Yep, a Polaroid. I still have the certificate and photo in perfect condition. One of my favorite memories as a kid.
