Is this something new or what?I was under the impression this could not happen.

No it was not a package code.I called and asked and she said I could add,I told her my ressie was a postcard rate and she said that was fine.

I was quoted 1296.00 tax included for room only 7 nights at AKL Savannah view. Then when I added the tickets with hopper option and dining it came to be 2262.82.

I was also able to add the package to an email code. We don't need tickets, we were just interested in the dining plan, so we just got 1 day passes. We got the WL Courtyard View at 174 per night plus tax. Total for 8 nights with the 1 day pass and 8 nights of dining for 2 adults and 1 child was $2372. Great deal considering that rack rate for the room only would have been $2676.

However, we're still hoping for availability at CR or a lower rate at Poly when AP rates (or any other codes) come out. Poly GV was quoted at $254 plus tax per night.

Javaj did they say you had to purchase a one day pass to get the dining plan? We have a park hoppers from last year and we don't need tickets. I would love the dining option.

How are the taxes applied to the room only with dining added. Is it added on as a hotel charge at a higher percentage for the entire amount or divided?

I'm with nanatink, we don't need tickets but would love the dining option. Any info on this???

Thanks!
Carla

Yes they told us that to add the dining plan, we had to buy a pass. We don't need passes either since we have APs so we got 1 day passes since we really wanted to try the dining option. Technically, the passes expire 14 days after 1st use, so I'm hoping we can just keep them for a future trip.

From my total, I believe that the normal 11.5% tax was charged only for the room, and 6.5% tax was charged for the dining plan and passes.

I would like to purchase the dining option plan with room only and choose the 1 day pass. This is all new to me (dining options). Do they send you your tickets and is there another card they send for dining options; or do they just put it all on your room key card at check in?

I just called with my e-mail code and they said I would either have to take the discount on the room only part or give up the discount on the room to add tickets and dining. I wonder if I call back again if I'll get a different story. How can I get the right cm to give the discount on the room and add tickets and dining. I don't think I'm asking for a whole lot, do you all????
