WOuld you go on a day you are going to AK park....then take bus to AKL from their. OR would you go from DTD on an AK bus? Thanks

Either way. You could also take the OKW bus to the studios and transfer to the AKL bus. Or you could just grab the AKL bus from any park you are visiting that day.

I would say getting to AKL from any park except MK or DTD since these are the furthest away.

Take the boat every half hour from OKW to AKV....

Nice boat ride, and maybe schedule a dinner at Turf Club.

I am very confused. Turf Club is at SSR. We are staying at OKW and I never realized there was a boat ride from either resort to AKL. ???:confused3

Also there is no boat to AKL/AKV from anywhere.

I would suggest a bus to AK if open then catch the AKL bus from there. DTD is about the furthest from AK/AKL/AKV going eastwards and MK is furthest going northbound. DHS is the closest park to AK/AKL/AKV.

had more trouble with the AK bus than any of the other parks while at AKV.

so don't recommend that one.

either studios or Epcot was fine.

actually got back sooner from the Mk than AK.:sad2:

so hoping this trip will be different!:goodvibes

THERE IS NO BOAT TO AKV!!!! Also, Turf Club is at SSR, not AKV.

AK is the longest bus ride from OKW, but if you are going to be at AK on a given day, I would probably use that time to go visit AKV by taking the bus from AK. I would probably arrange an ADR at Jiko or Boma and spend the time exploring the resort while waiting for the ADR. When you return from the resort will determin your route. If it is when parks are still open, you can take a bus to any park and then transfer to the OKW bus, or if it is past the time when all parks are closed, you can go to DTD and transfer to a bus from there or take the boat back to OKW. Frankly, we find the bus service to and from DTD to be abismal. We try not to take that unless it is the only option.

I would take the boat from OKW to DTD, relax and enjoy the ride. Then go to AKV from DTD by bus. I like boat rides, they relax me, and the scenery to DTD from OKW is wonderful.

I have not found DTD bus transportation to be as troublesome as others.

PS. When you walk around AKV, be sure to chat with the African guides who will enchant you with stories of the animals and of their country. We often have gone to AKV to enjoy the scenery. As far as eating go, you can also just try the Mara, a cafeteria type sit down place.
