We are going to WDW Nov. 27th-Dec.4th and I've decided that I want to take our pics for our Christmas Card there -- I have a vision but I'm not sure of the best place. I would love to take pic on the beach of DD (2) in cute Disney outfit with castle in the background -- but have no idea where the best place would be. I know it would be either GF or Poly but since I've never been to either location while thinking about Christmas Cards then I'm not sure where to go -- Any Advice?? Also, if there is another location that you would recommend for cute Christmas Card pics then let me know -- I'm not 100% locked in to beach/castle idea. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! I would also love to see past Christmas Card pics from WDW if anyone has them.

Thanks!!

OMGoodness... you read my mind. I was going to post the same question today and here it was!! LOL.. I am going the same week also. I don't have anything to add, but can't wait to hear how your question is answered!!!

At magic kingdom at the end of main street facing the castle is a photo pass area with toy soldiers. If you aren't going to purchase the photopass cd just have the photog take a pic with your camera. I'm sure that there is pics of Christmas decorations for this yr in the news section of this site We have this same pic. Done at night with the lights on

i like main street about mid way down... it has the wreaths and the castle and is amazing :) just took ours last week!

2nd year in a row for that xmas card pic! just love it!

I would plan on buying the Photopass CD and take as many Photopass pics as possible. The pics at night with the castle in the background are my personal favorite :-) But, you should end up with several great shots to choose from. You can upload your favorite pic to wherever (Costco, Kodakgallery, etc.) site you use to buy your Christmas cards.

Take pics everywhere and decide when you get home. You may even find one of your non-posed (is that a word?) pics to be magical! One thing I wish we had done was take a pic at the exact same spot each time we went. Our 1st time my son was 6 he is now 25  and I regret not doing that.
Have a great time!

We took our Xmas card pic in Hollywood Studios. Along the streets, behind one of the shops is a snowman, in front of a faux Christmas snow front. santa:

Sorry--don't have any on the beach! These were all taken during Christmas week last year.

The castle from the beach of the Poly is pretty tiny. This was taken from the Poly beach right at the waters edge with no zoom.

This was taken at Downtown Disney. I think it's a cute backdrop

These are all beautiful!! You have a gorgeous family and I love the photos!! These are great ideas. I can't wait to get there!

Gosh, there are tons of places. We've had the last two year cards from there. One was on the Wilderness Lodge Sandy Beach in black/khaki. Last year was in front of the Tree at Animal Kingdom. But we have also had family pics made with Santa and Mrs. Claus in Epcot, and pics taken at Animal Kingdom with the Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy in their Christmas clothes. The options are endless!! Just have the photopass guys take your pics everywhere with their camera and yours. One or MORE will turn out lovely!!!

We did this last year for our cards. The picture was in front of the castle and the message read "From our castle to yours...Merry Christmas!"

That was ours. We didnt get a family picture that year that Little man wasnt asleep, one of the kids was making a face, or we werent drenched in rain.
