I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

All caught up !! Loving the boys' reactions to Ariel. Maybe next time you need to bring some cootie spray .... just in case.

Susan

Looooving the haaaaair!

I love putting red streaks into my hair, but yes it's a pain to take care of. I use a shampoo and conditioner that I get from Whole foods, good for color treated hair, works really well. Sulfate free too.

Thanks! I love it too. It is a pain to take care of, but it's been okay so far. Whole Foods is definitely a great option for that kind of stuff, I always forget about it.

the HM inspired makeup would be awesome! Something with purple shadow with a smokey look on top of it (thinking of the wall paper)....oooooo! That would look awesome! Especially with your red hair!! :thumbsup2 To bad there aren't any templates for the demask design over the wall paper inside the mansion, that would look pretty cool. Maybe some black lacey earrings to go with? :confused3

These are too expensive, but you get the gist....

Maybe these....

or these...

These are perfect!!

Sorry! I got carried away.

Hahaha, you're so funny! The earrings are beautiful. I have to dig through my own collection and see if I have anything like it.

I certainly am thinking seriously about doing a HM look.

I really loved your platinum hair but I'm totally digging the red too! :lovestruc I wish I was brave enough to go for the all red look, I just don't think I can pull it off.

I will ask you this...how do you do your brows? They look great! No matter what I do to mine I feel like I dyed them black and look like a total clown.

Yours look amazing, any tips or video's you watch would be great. I'm a Rachael junky when it comes to watching make-up tutorials. Doesn't mean I do my makeup that way. But you are right, watching the tutorials can give you some amazing ideas. I like watching the Disney inspired one's.

Thanks again, you're so sweet! I'm a firm believer in trying what you want and see how it works out. You can always go back to your normal color when stuff doesn't work out. That's how I always approach everything. LOL.

Okay, here is how I do my brows. I don't have a video that I particularly watch, I just do what I feel comfortable with.

I use a medium blonde to light brown color to start, simply because my hair is light and my brows are light to begin with. I don't want to look stupid by coloring them in too much. :lmao: I use a pencil first. Ones that are really good are from Anastasia Beverly Hills, those are my favorite. More affordable decent ones are from Milani or from Maybelline.

I fill my brows in with the pencil first, regardless of the color of my hair. It builds a base.

OHHHHH, an important thing to note is that I take my eyeshadow primer up through my brows too. It helps them to stay all day then.

Anyway, I use the pencil and I fill them in using short strokes. The strokes I do in the direction of the hairs. It helps them to look more natural. Keep the strokes short and light. That prevents you from adding too much color too soon. It's much easier to build the color slowly than to take away from adding too much.

One of the things I do also is that I add color to the tops and bottoms of my brows, very slowly and carefully. Like creating an outline, without it being an actual outline. Cause literally outlined brows would be stupid. :lmao: But adding the color adds definition. I then use a spoolie to brush out the hairs a little bit and prevent any harsh lines.

After that, with the current color I have in my hair now, I literally take a red eyeshadow from an eyeshadow palette that is similar to the color of my hair. I use a small angled brush and I pretty much do the same thing with the shadow that I do with the pencil. Small strokes to distribute the color throughout. That way, they don't look only red, the brown is mixed in also.

Lastly (dude, seriously, my brows take me like 2 minutes total), I take a flesh toned cream eyeshadow (it has to be flesh toned and matte) and I use an angled brush to essentially clean up under my eyebrows a little. It adds a stronger line and it makes them look very crisp.

Holy novel there! However, I hope that helps. ;)

I'm all caught up finally! This TR is cracking me up! Your family reminds me so much of my own. Your being late because of 7 people update concerns me because this trip I'm going with 11 and I can only imagine everyone getting ready lol! Joaquin is something else, those faces! How awesome that you have 3 trips planned next year! We will just be missing each other in Jan!

Great updates!!

Thanks and :welcome: !

It's definitely a bit of a challenge to get that many people out the door, but we didn't have many major problems. Except this one of course.

I hate just missing DIS friends on trips, because then I'm like "awwwww" about not being able to meet people.

All caught up !! Loving the boys' reactions to Ariel. Maybe next time you need to bring some cootie spray .... just in case.

Susan

Ohhhhh, cootie spray. Excellent idea.

It was now 4:50pm and we made it to the bag check area of the Magic Kingdom. Our reservation was at 4:55pm. So we had 5 minutes to get through bag check and to our reservation. Not extremely promising.

I am not exaggerating when I say that we had the slowest.....bag check guy......EVER! It was insane. It literally took 10 minutes at the bag check alone.

At this point, we were already 5 minutes late to the reservation. I know they hold them for a short period of time, but I was still very nervous about missing it.

We hoofed it. And wouldn't you know....the castle was closed because of Dream Along with Mickey.

Katt, I know you're obsessed with this show, but at this moment in time, I was hating it! Stupid show closing off my path to my reservation!

Okay, I told everyone to follow me. My plan was to take the path by the Fairytale Garden where you can meet Merida. Yup. That plan was wrong, because I was met with a ginormous tour group descending down that path, leaving absolutely no space to get through.

At this point, I turned around, looked at our group and was like "I'm going!" So I hoofed it as fast as possible to my destination.

Finally.....at 5:15pm, I was here.

I apologized profusely to the CM at the podium for being late. And I blamed it on the tour group. Yes, you heard me right. I threw them under the bus.

He told me that we were totally fine, checked us in and then directed us outside to wait. Phew. That was the most nerve-wracking experience I've had in Disney. I'm the person that's always early to reservations, so the idea of being late just makes me nervous, because I don't want to lose my reservation!

We waited about 5 minutes and finally we were being let in.

Have you guys figured out that we were eating at Be Our Guest yet?

I wanted to be seated in the West Wing, just because I loved the idea of being seated in the dark area. However, we ended up being seated in the ballroom.

I was super stoked to be here. I loved the small touches in the restaurant. The rose napkin. The snow outside the windows. Just everything about it was perfection to me. I would recommend this restaurant based on ambience alone.

Yeti was like "woah...this place is fancy!"

Being that this was the first restaurant in the Magic Kingdom to serve alcohol, I had to order something. Jason and I both got this. Belgian beer, duh! We are Belgian's after all.

It was very good. A lighter beer. I prefer dark beers, but this was yummy too.

Mom got French Onion soup and Dad got potato leek soup.

Jason, Jeni and I got salads.

Some of my food photos are blurry, I apologize. Some people in my family get all weirded out when I try to take pictures of food, so I try to do it stealth style.

Jason and I got the steak.

Dad and Jeni got the pork.

Blurry picture alert....the boys got the Mickey meatloaf.

And Momma got the salmon.

The steak was good. Not the best steak I've had on Disney property, but it was yummy. I did not like the fries at all though. Just personal preference on my part. My Mom made homemade fries for us every week growing up. And I'm saying, fresh cut potatoes, double fried home made. She is Belgian after all. I'm not the easiest to please with fries because of that, and these just weren't yummy for me. I didn't enjoy the seasoning, and I can't quite put my finger on what the seasoning was.

Jeni and Dad both enjoyed the pork very much and Mom loved the salmon. Joaquin inhaled his meatloaf, and Gavin played around with it.

Gavin does this thing when he doesn't want to eat something, he starts to complain that his stomach is hurting. He does have some stomach issues, and he capitalizes on them like nobodies business. This will play a roll later in the trip as well.

We didn't fall for it, and he wasn't allowed to eat dessert because of it. Because you know how it goes. "Oh, my stomach is upset, I can't eat this....oh, wait dessert?! I'm fine now!"

The Beast came out for his march around the ball room, and I tried to get a picture, but I wasn't able to get a good one.

But you see that entire dessert cart? Yup. We ordered one of everything. I didn't get pictures of all of them, but the cart does it justice.

Oh wait, I have a picture of one of them!

Now, this reservation was during the time when the Grey Stuff was for special occasions only. I had made sure to list that this was for my parent's anniversary so we could get the Grey Stuff.

It was everything that I wanted it to be and more.

They were very nice and brought us out two servings. And I am so absolutely grateful that they now have the Master's Cupcake and a Grey Stuff dessert. Because I could eat that stuff all of the time. For real.

Everyone really enjoyed the meal. It ended up being Jason's favorite.

Some more random dinner shots.

Joaquin again! Cannot.....take.....that.....boy.....ANYWHERE!

Continued in next post:

After dinner, I wanted to walk around the restaurant for a little while to get a couple of pictures.

I really do enjoy all of the details around the restaurant. Such a beautiful addition to the Magic Kingdom.

Of course, we had to get in line to get a picture with our host.

And as per usual, and you should know to expect it now. Let the Joaquin strange face brigade begin.

And obviously, the PP photographer thought he was insane too, because I did not crop this. The PP photographer took it.

*sigh* The things we have to put up with when he's around. :rotfl:

I'm going to end things there, because up next is Enchanted Tales with Belle. And we have lots of pictures of that....because many of us got picked!

Up Next: Dude....I told you I was over the top.

Oh I hate when you need to get somewhere, leave what you think might be enough time and everything possible things gets in your way and prevents you from getting where you need to be :faint:

BOG- Whoo hoo I FINALLY will have the chance to eat there next trip.

Everything looked wonderful and I will do my darndest not to order the steak. Only because I really want to try something different.

The PP and especially Joaquin are great. All those pictures are perfect for a wedding rehearsal dinner or graduation party. :rotfl2:

Looking forward to ETwB. I can only imagine the hilarity. :lmao:

Ugh I HATE when you get in the sloooooooow bag check line. Lets be honest here, these bag checks are more for show than anything, so when it drags... :crazy2:

:rotfl2: at throwing the tour group under the bus.

Ambiance is the exact right word for Be Our Guest. It's stunning.

Gee, you'd think Yeti could put on some pants for such a nice place. :scratchin

OMG... that family photo... Joaquin... :lmao:

Yes, you just HAVE to roam around the other rooms to see the details. I have a cute story about my exploration. I'm just bummed that Beast only comes out for dinner since I only ate lunch there.

Oh boy, as much as I enjoyed reading this update post I CANNOT wait to read about you and your family being picked to participate in Enchanted Tales. Expectations are high! :thumbsup2

Our DD has been asking and asking to go to BOG for our next trip so we have ADRs booked for dinner. Got to experience it myself in October and I agree the theming and the atmosphere is Disney top notch!

Great update! I know nothing about this restaurant, what exactly does the grey stuff taste like??

Sometimes, you just have to throw the tour group under the bus. I certainly don't blame you for that one!

AHHHH BE OUR GUEST. I love it there so so much. It's my castle of course, how could I not? :lovestruc

I'm glad you liked (most of) your meal and the grey stuff! It really is amazing.

Joaquin's faces are just the best. Please hold on to these pictures and use them in a slideshow when he's graduating high school or getting married. :rotfl:

Also, I love your shirt!!

I cannot wait to see your family in Enchanted Tales. That's going to be legendary.

Ahh, Be Our Guest! That place just looks incredible. And I feel your pain on running late. You can't help but feel guilty even if it's out of your control!

That's exactly how it felt that day. We left the resort with plenty of time to spare, but getting caught up at Lost and Found was what did it.

Yay!!! I'm glad that you get to eat at BOG on your upcoming trip. It's such a beautiful restaurant. We'll be eating there for lunch this time.

I plan on using all pictures of Joaquin to embarrass him in the future. :lmao:

I know! The bag check lines just kill me sometimes. And they're always like that when you have somewhere that you really need to be.

Yeti never wears pants. He feels that he's above it. :rotfl2:

Hahahaha, man, I've set up the expectations, I hope that I don't disappoint anyone! I have to make sure that I tell the story correctly. Hahaha.

It's a beautiful restaurant, and I find it absolutely enjoyable based on ambiance alone. The food was good. Not the best Disney food I've had, but not bad by any means.

Great update! I know nothing about this restaurant, what exactly does the grey stuff taste like??

To me, the grey stuff tastes like you take an oreo cookie and just blend it in the blender. Clearly, I am not doing it justice describing it that way, but it's pretty tasty.

Sometimes, you just have to throw the tour group under the bus. I certainly don't blame you for that one!

AHHHH BE OUR GUEST. I love it there so so much. It's my castle of course, how could I not? :lovestruc

Of course it's incredible, being your castle and all. :goodvibes

I'm glad you liked (most of) your meal and the grey stuff! It really is amazing.

Joaquin's faces are just the best. Please hold on to these pictures and use them in a slideshow when he's graduating high school or getting married. :rotfl:

I will absolutely use all of his ridiculous pictures to the fullest in the future. I have absolutely no shame.

Also, I love your shirt!!

I cannot wait to see your family in Enchanted Tales. That's going to be legendary.

Thanks! I actually ordered that shirt from Hot Topic. I got a ton of compliments on it.

I will do my best to make it legen......wait for it.......dary!

It's such a beautiful restaurant. I think the majority of people just want to get in there to see it.

I hate running late to reservations! It makes me feel so guilty, it's insane. You'd think I'd get over it.

:scared1: I hate that feeling of being blocked at every turn at WDW! Glad you made it in time (kind of ).

Isn’t BoG just beautiful????? I’m glad y’all enjoyed your food (well, other than Gavin ).

The photos with the Beast are AWESOME! I love that the PP photog couldn’t resist the beast in Joaquin and had to get an up-close shot!

Your meal looks really nice and glad no issue there with being late - I am like you in always wanting to be early so when running late I get totally stressed

Also like you I prefer dark beers but the saison DuPont you got is one of my favorites. Glad they have some real Belgian beers there.

Sorry about the fries not being to your liking ... But is that was the only real negative, pretty solid meal overall

Poor Gavin - missing out on the grey stuff because he didn't eat his meat loaf.

So glad you made it to dinner, despite being late. Hard to believe it took 20 minutes to get through bag check and through the park. :faint:

That bus smilie has got to be the funniest EVER. :rotfl2:

Great family pictures with and without the beast.

Looking at the pics brings back memories of a great time. The food was really good and the ambiance was awesome. I am sorry that I created a frites snob.

I hate that feeling too, but normally I have no problem just plowing through everyone to get where I need to go. :rotfl2:

Gavin was just being Gavin. It's in his character. LOL.

No, he definitely couldn't resist the beast in Joaquin. He was certainly not going to disappoint this time around.

I just hate being late at Disney. It's a sickness. :rotfl:

Yeah, the fries were really the only negative that we had. The entire meal as a whole was very enjoyable.

Great family pictures with and without the beast.

He did. We buckled a little bit and told him he could taste some, but he was being a bugger and digging his heels in. The two boys tend to do that.

Yeah, it really took 20 minutes to get through bag check and through the park. It was ridiculous! And an extreme reminder of what the crowds are like in July, which I always seem to ACCIDENTALLY forget when we make the choice to go during that time of year.

Hahaha, someone actually sent me that bus smiley at work once, so I made sure to try and find it for this particular update.

Looking at the pics brings back memories of a great time. The food was really good and the ambiance was awesome. I am sorry that I created a frites snob.

It was a lot of fun, wasn't it?

It's fine that you created a fry snob. I'm down with it.

Great pics at Be Our Guest, Danielle (I get nervous when I'm late too!).

I love that restaurant. We've eaten there three times and the ambiance cannot be beat and we have yet to have a bad meal there (although we are taking a year off from it in 2014).

The photos with the Beast are wonderful.

I wish you and ALL of your crazy family, a truly

I don't know why you are surprised my Joaquin's funny faces .... LOL. He obviously comes by them honestly. Sooo cute. Explain to me how he and Gavin came from the same gene pool - because they seem like they are on opposite ends. LOL.

Susan

Caught up again. I sooo feel your pain about being late I cannot stand it, we ran and I mean ran through Epcot in August to get to our dinner at Teppan Edo. I felt so bad for my parents but dragged them along anyway. :) Be Our Guest looks absolutely beautiful....got to love pictures of the beast or was that Joaquin, that one by the pp photographer was awesome :). Looks like you guys had so much fun.
