I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

Shrunken head on a stick...hmmm...probably not a good thing with little brothers. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Love me some Soarin'.

Sorry you ended up with a migraine. I have never had a full blown one. But I've had some doozie of headaches and no that aspirin and laying down is the only way to get rid of it.

Joaquin hanging upside down from the chair is a hoot. That kid just cracks me up every time.

Glad shopping helped you feel a little better.

Disney Quest. We only went once. After that first visit, we told the boys they closed it because it didn't go over very well. I know...bad mommy.

Oh dear...Danielle and the boys. I can hardly wait to hear about that.

Hahaha, I definitely don't think that the shrunken heads would be a good idea between brothers. Especially attached to the stick. :rotfl2:

Joaquin definitely does crack us up on a regular basis. He always does unexpected things.

I could see how Disneyquest isn't for everyone. The kids are huge video game fans, so they definitely love it.

Oh, the next day we have some fun times. And I mean that sarcastically. I had to bust out mean tee-tee. :lmao:

You poor thing! As someone who has frequent, severe migraines I feel your pain! But to get one in disney is the pits! Glad you bounced back so quickly and took the time to take care of yourself. Hope the rest of your trip was pain free and that yedi took good care of you.

They are so horrible when you're in Disney! I don't get them often, but I hate it when it's in Disney.

Super glad that some napping and alone time got you to feel better! And retail therapy! Always a good thing! I definitely get like that occasionally, and it sucks on Disney trips because you're kind of stuck with those people forever :rotfl: Glad you could get away!!

DQ always looks intriguing to me, I've never been, but do plan on it in the future! I've never been big into video games, but hey, it might be super fun for me!

It definitely made me feel better.

DQ is a place to see once. I enjoy it, but we certainly don't do it every time.

Headaches suck. Headaches in Disney... End of the World Suck. I now always make sure to have some advil with me at all times. I feel for you Dani, I really do.

I totally get the need for a little alone time. It's really the main reason why I was always staying offsite. Big group in small hotel room... not gonna do it. I need my space.

Glad you were able to decompress at DTD and kind of get your bearings back. I know how tough that can be. But the upcoming day... ooh I see little people.

I always have aspirin or something for headaches with me at all time. Unfortunately, when it's a migraine, all that will work is laying down after taking it. It was pretty crappy.

It's nice to be able to have your space when you're there with a lot of people.

Ugh hate headaches...especially at WDW! They seem to come on so quick in that weather, at least for me they do! OMG the "butt hurt" totally happens in my family too! I would say more but my family reads the Dis too!!

They do come on super quick! That's the worst part of it.

OMG, Jason is the complete representation of butt hurt. And the funny part of it is the fact that Joaquin has that gene too! Hahaha.

I hate getting migraines in WDW. I almost always get 1 each trip when we go in July. The heat gets to me.

I know that it's sad to leave a park to lay down but it's got to be done.

Sorry you had that headache. Let's blame your brother ;)

Thankfully, I don't get one on each trip. The hotter the weather, the more likely I am to get it.

I'm totally okay with leaving the parks actually. Some people will boo me for that, but I'm totally okay with chilling to feel better.

I blame him too. :rotfl2:

Ugh - I hate migraines. It was in WDW that I discovered Excedrin Migraine and its my go-to drug now for any headache. Good old Tylenol, Aspirin, and Caffeine. Perfect combination.

I think a little alone time is sometimes a necessity on vacation. I'm sure that made it easier when you all reunited in later at DQ.

I'm a huge fan of Excedrin Migraine too! Works pretty well for me.

Ugh - so sorry that a good portion of your day was ruined by the stupid headache. It just sucks to feel unwell when you're on vacation! I hope that was the only such time on your trip.

And I sooooooo get how getting away from kids could help with the headache! :rolleyes1

Yeah, you can totally tell in my photos, because I pretty much took none. LOL.

Getting away from the kiddos definitely helped. :lmao:

Oh man, feeling sick in Disney is the worst :(

I feel ya on needing some alone time. Spending 24/7 with people can get overwhelming! So I'm glad you got some time to shop with your parents.

I've done DQ twice. I love the Pirates attraction too, although Cyberspace Mountain is my personal fave.

It is the worst, but thankfully it didn't last too long.

The Pirates attraction is definitely my favorite. I like Cyberspace Mountain, but a few years ago my brother and I kind of overdid it by doing it like 3 times in one day.

Ooo, glad that you were able to go back to rest to help get rid of the migraine. I totally understand needing to have some time away from the kiddos. There was a time during my trip with my cousins that Howard and I split up from them in Epcot because they wanted to shop in World Showcase and we wanted to get the rides in Future World. It was the PERFECT thing because even though they're not kids at all, I just mentally needed some time away from a bigger group. I can't even imagine if the group included energetic young ones!

Sometimes I think it's good to separate from your group and just get some alone time. I'm definitely an advocate of it.

I'm so sorry you ended up with a migraine! I feel for you!

The only thing worse than a migraine at WDW is a migraine at USF... It is SOOO LOUD there! Especially in the Marvel area!

I suffer from them also, and I was unfortunate enough to get one at both locations my last two trips and had to settle for Tylenol.

Now that I've been officially diagnosed with migraines I have been through about 15 different prescription migraine meds and finally found one that works so when I go in September I will be taking it with me! The brand new meds even work without having to get sleep.

Still enjoying your TR(s)...

Oooohhh, I could totally see how getting one at Universal would suck! Thankfully I've never had one there.

I have a co-worker that gets migraines very regularly and also struggles with finding medications that work for her.

Been there done that...or at least DW has with regards to migraines. She has them daily but to different degrees. If you've read any of our TR's you'll see where we've had a day during almost every trip that we had to stay in the room, lights out and no noise after medication. There is a new FDA approved head band with electrodes made by Cefaly (http://www.cefaly.us/?gclid=CPPx1Kbsob0CFbQWMgodGg8AAA) that we are looking at trying. But enough with that stuff....glad you made it through yours and forged on! I'm really enjoying your TR and looking forward to more.

Interesting about the head band with the electrodes. I'm sure it's a struggle when you suffer from them so regularly.

I'm so sorry you got a migraine and I can totally relate to needing some kid-free time. Even though mine are now older, and girls :rotfl: (boys just seem to constantly be on the go!) I still feel the need to have some quiet "me" time on vacation, even if it's just 15 minutes :thumbsup2

Boys definitely are constantly on the go. We do take moments with the boys to make sure they just have some quiet time. When we do that, they actually do fall asleep. But that day I just felt like it wasn't going to be enough.

Aah, good thing 'tomorrow' was not your headache day. I think you need to be at full speed to take care of two little boys! :goofy::tigger: ::yes::

I have not been in DisneyQuest yet. Drew has been a few times, and I think maybe Trent has. I'm not a bit into arcade games, and flashing lights and noise are not my favorite things. I would like to try a few of those individual rides, though. I kind of wish I could get a three activity ticket or something to take the girls in and do just those things and then leave. Right now, Brooklynn is just getting into doing the resort arcades a little. She likes the prizes. Bella just jumps from thing to thing and is fine 'fake' playing. Maybe when they are a little older, we'll give DQ a try.

DQ can definitely be overwhelming. I only like to be in there for short periods of time. Otherwise, it's too much. :rotfl2:

Oof. Migraines are the absolute worst. If I ever get them, I may as well be dead to the world. Sorry you got one at Disney! I understand the need to just be... away from the madness, I guess. It happens. I'm glad that if you HAD to get a headache, it was the day BEFORE you spent the whole day with the boys!

I certainly needed to be away from the madness, just for a little while. And I really did have to be prepared for spending a whole day with the boys.

Ugh the dreaded Migraine. Mine are allergy induced and probably a little dehydration too.

Last 2 trips on the last day I have been down with migraine. :headache:

Yup lights out and sleep if I don't get medicine in me and if I wake up with one chances are it is too late.

Glad you were able to get over it and still enjoy the evening. DQ is fun but the lights and noise can be too much.

Looking forward to Danielle taking on the littles. :thumbsup2

I think I would be super sad if I was down with a migraine on the last day! I can deal with it more when I've still got a few days left.

Thankfully, the whole day wasn't lost. That at least made me feel a bit better.

I know first had what Migraines can do to you. I remember how bad you were feeling.... Glad you were able to rest.

I was so happy to rest, you are absolutely correct.

I use to get migraines like you, but for some reason they became less and less of a pain when I got them over the years. Not that they are fun, just not debilitating like they use to be. Thank the Lord.

Sometimes getting away from the hustle and bustle of things is just what you need. I'm glad you were able to get out to get what you needed. I love how you are still a Mama's and Daddy's girl, it's sweet. It's not often you see adult kids that close to their parents, it's refreshing. :goodvibes

Ooooh boy, a day with the littles. This should be fun!! :dance3:

I'm glad that you don't get them as badly as you used to.

I agree, I love being able to get away from things. I also love spending time with my parents. They are really my favorite people.

Yuckers...nothing worse than a migraine! Sometimes ya just gotta lay down and let it run it's course...good for you for doing that! Ok...love the picture of Joaquin hanging over the chair...that kid seriously cracks me up!

On a side note, I have a child (well she's not little anymore as you know) and I don't always love having kids around LOL I have that uncanny knack of thinking I'm every child's parent when they're misbehaving and I feel it my duty to voice my opinion! My sister loves this aspect of my personality :lmao:

Headaches suck, especially at Disney! I'm sure the summer heat had something to do with it. I think traveling with a group, making sure everyone is having fun, etc. can be stressful too, and maybe it finally caught up with you.

Looking forward to the next chapter!

Joaquin cracks me up all the time too. He was too funny that day.

I'm the same way, and I don't have any kids at all. I always think that I have to be the voice of reason and parent them. It's pretty bad. :lmao:

Summer heat definitely had something to do with it. And traveling with our group. :rotfl2:

I hate getting headaches at Disney. I always keep something in my bag because you want to try and press on! Glad you started feeling better. I have nephews. I love them more than life itself but I get it! lol

Caught up! :thumbsup2
so good.:rotfl:
KIMpopcorn::

Yay!

I hate getting headaches at Disney. I always keep something in my bag because you want to try and press on! Glad you started feeling better. I have nephews. I love them more than life itself but I get it! lol

It's the worst, isn't it? I always keep something in my bag too, just in case. But when it gets into migraine territory, there isn't much I can do other than just stop and lay down.

You totally get it right? I love them to death, but dude.... :lmao:

So, I started this update...and I'm going through Photobucket and I feel like pictures are missing. And you know what? They TOTALLY WERE! I had to upload a bunch of pictures that had been missing. Grrrr....

Friday had dawned on the savannah. I was feeling much better than I had the night before. All remnants of the headache had dissipated, which was a great thing, because we had a long day ahead of us. Mom and Dad had given Jason and Jeni an alone day as an anniversary present. Which meant that they would be off not heir own for the day, while we had the boys. I was ready for it. The only thing we had planned was breakfast together before we parted ways.

It was another beautiful day.

The night before, when Mom, Dad, and I had shopped downtown, we had picked up something for the boys. Something that we figured they would be really excited about.

So, the night before, we gave them their gifts. This was a bit of the "missing photo" debacle. Sorry for this being out of sequence.

They were Duffy's! They were super excited about them. The two of them had formed quite an attachment to Duffy while we were there, so we figured we would give them these. My gift to them, which I told them, was that they could each pick an outfit for them that day when we were in the park.

The sad part is? I completely didn't get this picture in the last update. But I took this the night before. How adorable, right?!

Okay, now fast forward, and we had to head out for the day. We had a breakfast reservation to make it to! We all piled in the car and were on our way. Where was our breakfast reservation today?

Ohana!

However, on the way there, the boys had some fun with their Duffy's.

They're cool Duffy's, just in case anyone ever forgets.

One of my favorites. I know there's debate about what they're doing at the Polynesian, but I'm always hopeful. Call me an optimist. Too much negativity in this world. I try to stay positive.

Don't you love the family photos. Someone's always looking like a big derp.

This breakfast reservation was per Jason's request. This is his absolute favorite breakfast buffet at Disney.

Joaquin was absolutely enamored with his Duffy.

Very soon......the goodies arrived. So much yum!

Soon, the characters were already making their rounds. Lilo liked the maracas that were on the table.

Soon, Stitch came by.

Now, if you take a look at this picture, Joaquin has teary red eyes.

Well.....let's just say he kind of got what he deserved for acting like a fool. I know that sounds mean, but hear me out. He was completely messing around at the table. Flailing, just acting like a fool. We told him to calm down. He didn't listen. And the flailing around after we told him to stop resulted in him flailing his head into the direction of our server who was coming by. And he got knocked in the head with a pitcher.

Our server felt HORRIBLE for what happened. Joaquin started to wail. And in the resulting pictures, you can see him with Jeni and you can tell that he had been crying. We had to explain to him that this is why we told him to calm down. That accidents can happen when you don't listen. I mean, this child is so active, he's literally fallen out of a booth at Steak and Shake. Which results in us just yelling "MAN DOWN!!! WE HAVE A MAN DOWN!!!!"

However, he definitely cheered up when Pluto came by. But I mean, who wouldn't? Pluto is one of the best characters to interact with. And this Pluto. He was no exception.

Continued in next post:

Continued from previous post:

I had mentioned before that this Pluto was awesome? I misspoke. He was EPIC!!!!

He totally took Duffy from Joaquin and proceeded to put him in his mouth. That was a surefire way to get Joaquin out of his funk.

You can tell that Joaquin is just thinking it is the funniest thing he's ever seen.

And then, Jason had to get in on the fun. Which Pluto ended up thinking was hilarious. I think Pluto ended up being a little in love with Jason.

I mean, what character can say that someone licked them? My brother, I tell you.

Then, at this point, Pluto ended up taking Jason's hat off and walking away with it.

Pluto had to make sure that Pop didn't feel left out. So he had to come by and try to eat his head.

Overall, it was one of the best reservations that we had on the trip. Pluto just made the entire meal for us. He was so much fun! I've never had a character interaction that much fun. The boys just got such a kick out of it!

At this point, we had to separate for the day. Jason and Jeni were heading back to the hotel to figure out what their plan was, while Mom, Dad, the boys, and I headed to the Magic Kingdom.

One of the plus's with being at the Polynesian was our ability to take the monorail. Monorail time!

So serious they are, right?

Now, the boys had a responsibility. If they wanted to carry their Duffy, they needed to be responsible for them. So, we brought their backpacks with for this.

With Jason gone for the day, Joaquin moved on to his other favorite person. Ommi. I mean, isn't your Grandma normally one of your favorites?

To commemorate the occasion, we had to stop on Main Street to take some Photopass pictures.

Who doesn't love my Dad's face in this picture? I mean, come on! It never gets old with that man.

We had a great Photopass photographer. At this point, he wanted the boys to pose together. He needed them to show him who was stronger.

This picture wins for funniest of the day. The side-eye that Gavin is giving Joaquin? Just......amazing.

Up next: Let's take on the Magic Kingdom!!!! With crazy littles!!!

haha it's like he's saying: really? you think you're stronger than me? cute! lol

The who is stronger pictures are too cute! Love the last one! Can't wait for more updates!

Just for my own curiosity, did you omit to upload the photos, or did photobucket lose them?? Since I also use photobucket, inquiring minds need to know, lol

Aww the Ohana family photos are terrific especially with new members Duffy and Duffy.

Oh WOW, PLUTO rocked it!! I always respect the characters more when they actually take the time to interact with the adults too.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That interaction was down right hilarious! :thumbsup2

Poor little guy, got bonked on the head. :headache:
It's hard for the little one's to stay in their seats when there is so much going on all around them.
I'm sure the atmosphere of everyone there having a good time and the characters made it even harder to stay in his seat.

On to y'alls day, this is going to be a good one. :goodvibes

Oh wow your breakfast sounded great, the interaction you received was so much fun :goodvibes

Loving the PP photos, it's lovely when the photographers get involved and try fun poses :)

Oh those pictures of the boys with their Duffys, and that super adorable one of (Gavin? I think) sleeping with his Duffy! So so cute!
Breakfast looks like a delicious riot, I mean, besides poor Joaquin getting bumped, but that's how kids learn! Pluto made up for it anyway :thumbsup2 What an awesome character interaction there!
Great photopass pics too, especially with the boys showing off their muscles. :thumbsup2
