I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

It was sad that they didn't have any sugar free stuff for dad. I know he was perfectly happy with the fruit. It would have been really nice for him to have maybe one or two to enjoy. I remember that conversation in the car :rotfl2::rotfl2: kids say the darnedest things:lmao::lmao:

I know he was too, it just would have been really nice for him to be able to enjoy other things. But, someday maybe.

Remember that conversation?! Joaquin was insane and we were all looking around at each other like "what?"

Winnie the Pooh. Ca-Lassic!

I love when a situation presents itself where you get to ride something you otherwise might not... even though you really really really really want to. So, YAY Carousel.

I was totally fine being able to ride the carousel. I love them. I was actually surprised that no one else wanted to ride. :rotfl2:

There is seriously nothing at all wrong with adding just bathrooms when they're as beautiful as the Tangled area. Frankly I look at it as just a gorgeous and relaxing addition to Magic Kingdom that just happens to have the functionality and convenience of bathrooms. Which that particular area really needed. :)

Right?! I know that some people were really upset about the fact that they were just bathrooms, but I think they're beautiful.

Wow, that is actually strange to me that there was no sugar free option. Even the cookies at the Christmas party had a sugar free option. At least they used to.

As great as I'm sure the the July 4 fireworks are, I would have cried a little (i.e. A LOT) over no Wishes as well.

Oh that's so frustrating that people stand in front of kids or frankly even shorter adults. I understand everyone wants to watch the show, but is a little consideration that much to ask?

I was surprised, because I had read on a few places and boards that they had sugar free options. He was pretty much able to get sugar free desserts at all of the restaurants, so why not just make them available at the dessert party?

Dude.....I was so devastated about the fireworks! Because I KNEW based on our itinerary that we would not get the chance to see them at another time. I was not a happy camper.

The adult thing was just frustrating. Just sit down. You pay the have this party, to be able to sit and enjoy the fireworks, and you all insist on standing up and getting in the front? Just bizarre.

That is disappointing that they didn't have sugar free options. Disney is usually so good about that..

I'm glad you said something about the people standing in front of the boys. I know they paid the same amount to be there, but there is no sense being rude to kids. :(

Otherwise did you enjoy the party? We're doing it for the first time in May.

I think that the 2 of us could team up and take over the world. I am also a champion crowd dodger. I usually just tell the people with them to grab the back of my shirt and hand on :lmao:

I was surprised they didn't. Maybe the CM just didn't know what they were talking about, but my Mom looked carefully for them too and didn't find anything.

I really enjoy the party. I've done it several times now over the years and certainly recommend it to others. The desserts are good, I like the location, and while people do stand up to watch them, there's definitely not as many people around as there would be on Main Street.

We could team up and take over the world! I'm just tall, so I can see around everyone and over their head!

Loving how you got chosen to play a wardrobe - too funny :rotfl2:

What a shame about the dessert party not having sugar free stuff, what an expensive way for your Dad to sit and eat fruit!!

I loved it too. It pretty much made my day. :thumbsup2

It was kind of a bummer with the money spent on it.

Oh my gosh! Joaquin is hilarious with that conversation. He reminds me of Bill Hader's Stefan character on SNL when he does those obscure nightclub references. Just so amusing. :)

Stefon is the best! I miss him sooooooooo.

"New York's hottest nightclub is Taste. Don’t look for a bouncer — there isn’t one. Instead, the door’s guarded by 10 jacked homeless guys in old-fashioned bathing suits."

We've done the dessert party only once but I tell ya, the adults are the worst with blocking an entire section of the front and not budging. Glad you have the nerve to say something. I'm sure it's just another thing the boys can admire about tee-tee! :lmao:

Aren't adults always the worst though? I find myself getting so frustrated with adults all the time, because they should know better!

Awww, thanks. Let's hope they do admire that. :rotfl2:

Loved your dramatic role in ETwB! I can feel the passion in your wardrobe performance. :lmao:

Happy New Year Danielle!!

Hahahahaha. I was very passionate about my role.

I hope you have a happy new year too.

Love the Winnie the Pooh pic of you and Gavin!

The carousel pic is adorable too. It always cracks me up that, even at WDW with all it has to offer, Willow is always super-excited to ride the carousel. :confused3

They just crack me up. "But there's Peter Pan...or Winnie the Pooh....or Space Mountain..." Nope. Carousel.

Excellent bathroom creeper pictures there! :rotfl2:

What a shame that there were not sugar-free options at the party - especially after you were told there would be!!!!

OMG - the “fireworks” pictures are PHENOMENAL! :rotfl2:

Jason killed himself trying to get those pictures. Seriously. I got my phone back and was like "um....how many pictures did you take?"

The standing-at-the-railing thing is one of the reasons I haven’t booked the fireworks party yet. I just know, knowing our luck, that we wouldn’t end up seeing any better than we would anywhere else. Because we are SHORT. And, honestly, if I’m going to pay for a viewing spot, I kind of want to be able to sit. :confused3

I love the Joaquin conversation - when in doubt, I am going with, “It’s all about you” when I don’t make sense from now on!

Right? See, that's my logic. If I'm paying for a spot, dangit I'm sitting on my butt. I haven't had any problems myself, because I am fortunately a tall individual. But for little kids and vertically challenged, it would be frustrating.

It's all about you is the best response you could have to anything.

Haha that's too much about your brother! I feel like we all have moments like that, though. I know I do :rotfl:

Of course you love Philharmagic! It stars your main man :donald:

I LOVE seeing the lanterns lit up. It's so beautiful.

The desserts look goooood. That is a bummer about no sugar free options, though! And I would have wanted to see regular Wishes too, so I understand your pain.

That is a great picture of the three stuffed animals enjoying the show, though!!! I love it!

Good job defending your littles!

Those conversations have me cracking up right now!!

Haha that's too much about your brother! I feel like we all have moments like that, though. I know I do :rotfl:

I know we have all had moments like that in life. I'm sure there are tons of movies that I was like "wha?" when I watched them.

Of course you love Philharmagic! It stars your main man :donald:

Is it that obvious?

I LOVE seeing the lanterns lit up. It's so beautiful.

I actually really loved the fact that the firs time I saw them was at night. I loved it.

It was a bummer about the desserts AND about it not being regular Wishes. *sigh* We live a rough life....

That is a great picture of the three stuffed animals enjoying the show, though!!! I love it!

Good job defending your littles!

Those conversations have me cracking up right now!!

Jason plotted and posed that picture forever and ever until he got it just right. It was hilarious!

Of course! You gotta defend the littles, otherwise what is the world coming to?!

Joaquin can get you in an instant. I am convinced that I would make a ton of money if I just recorded him all day long and then started posting his insights on a blog.

I'm so glad you stopped by my TR...because it led me to yours...and I'm LOVING IT!!!

First off, CONGRATS on the weight loss! I am up to the biggest I have ever been....and after seeing my Disney pics...decided to do something about it. I told my DD, if I can lose 30 pounds by May...we will take a girl's trip to Disney in June! Your pictures were very motivating...keep up the fantastic work!

Second, I'm loving your nephews! Disney is fun...but so much more fun when with the young ones!

Third, loving how you all got picked for Enchanted Tales. My entire family but me got picked...DH was SO MAD!! It was hilarious! He was a guard and hid the entire show. I was laughing so hard!

Looking forward to reading the rest of your TR!!

One of the most fun trip reports I have ever read! The kids are a trip! I can't wait for the rest!

First, of all of the pictures you have posted so far, the one of you and Gavin is my favorite. :goodvibes

Love Winnie the Pooh and Mickey's Philharmagic.

I don't understand why they couldn't have had a few sugar free options. :confused3 At the Christmas Party this year, they went from two different kinds of cookies to ONLY ONE! I was very disappointed.

You did do a lot of running around this day, didn't you?

Joaquin! All I can say is :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'm so glad you stopped by my TR...because it led me to yours...and I'm LOVING IT!!!

Well I'm glad you stopped by too! ;) :welcome:

I told my DD, if I can lose 30 pounds by May...we will take a girl's trip to Disney in June! Your pictures were very motivating...keep up the fantastic work!

I was at my largest size at that picture in the comparison 40 pounds ago. Now that I look back on it, I can't believe how much of a difference it was. I'm glad that the pictures were motivating. For myself, I just had to get in the correct mental headspace. Once I was there, it just fell together. The first thing I told myself is that this isn't a diet. It's a lifestyle change. And honestly, that is the best thing I've ever done. It's so much easier for me to make wise choices now and I don't even think about it. I have about 40 more I would like to lose and it's getting harder, but I'm not allowing myself to get discouraged.

Second, I'm loving your nephews! Disney is fun...but so much more fun when with the young ones!

It's an entirely different kind of fun when you take littles along. I love the fact that I can have it both ways.

Third, loving how you all got picked for Enchanted Tales. My entire family but me got picked...DH was SO MAD!! It was hilarious! He was a guard and hid the entire show. I was laughing so hard!

Looking forward to reading the rest of your TR!!

Hahahaha, it's so funny when someone gets picked that doesn't want to participate isn't it? Gotta love those. :rotfl:

Joaquin! All I can say is :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I love that picture too. And the fact that it came on Winnie the Pooh in crappy lighting is awesome!

I was confused too, but I really didn't want to push the issue. We just know better for next time.

We truly got our workout on this day. Good thing that we were relaxing the next day, I tell you.

I know! That child. I often don't have the words for him, and that's a rarity. Because I always have words. :lmao:

What is it about carousel and kids? :good vibes Our kids never misses an opportunity to go on one. They do make great backdrops for pictures though. ;)

We did Wishes Dessert Party twice. Our second time I decided we were done with the experience for awhile. We took the kids to the rest rooms before the fireworks started only to return and find every spot on the railing gone. We settled for views from our table which was obstructed by heads of various sizes. And that's after a woman decided to bring in her strobe light Mickey balloon in and tie it to her chair right in front of us completely blocking my view of the castle while I was enjoying some dessert goodies.

We're going for Pirates and Pals Cruise for our Wishes experience in January! :thumbsup2

It's a phenomenon really. They are just obsessed with the carousel. Listen, it never has a line, so I'll take them on it!

I've done the dessert party several times. I think that it's gotten worse with the people standing up over the years. The first time I did it was in 2010, which is round about the time they started doing it I think. Everyone was super polite then and stayed seated. But, things have changed.

Have fun on the Pirates and Pals cruise! That sounds great.

Ok, here and finally caught up after the holiday madness! It's kind of nice to have some time to myself that doesn't have to be dedicated to baking, decorating, wrapping or visiting. :rotfl:
I didn't go see ETWB. I was too shy and just felt way too old. Hopefully the next trip I will go see it, because it looks absolutely adorable. But I won't be Fat Amy singing. I just don't sing in public. Like... ever. For any reason. Happy birthday? All mouth movements. :rotfl2:
Love you guys taking your jobs so seriously! :thumbsup2
I love love love the carousel. :lovestruc It's so pretty and classic.
Hmm I would have the same gripes, I don't blame you. 4th of July fireworks? No thanks, give me Wishes! No sugar free desserts? That's just not fair at all. Glad you stood up for the kids at the dessert party. I'm very short and never see anything well, but it drives me crazy when people stand in front of kids.

Bummer about the lack of sugar free desserts! And the fireworks! A few years ago we went to WDW during December, and I seriously came THISclose to tears when Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade was switched to Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade. Lumar still makes fun of me to this day because I was SO disappointed! Needless to say, I feel your pain! But I feel horrible because you paid extra to watch the wrong fireworks, at a dessert party with lots of tall people and no desserts for your amazingly awesome dad! You totally have the right to have a hissy-fit! Since when is fruit a dessert, anyway!?! :confused3 I'm with Roni...I can't justify paying extra to still have to STAND to watch. I want to be able to sit down, dang it!

I know I don't have to tell you but Joaquin is so freaking funny! He needs his own reality show! I'd watch! :rotfl2:

We have done the dessert party twice. Sadly, the last time was during the holidays and we were freezing and incapable of getting hot coffee (it was lukewarm). We loved it the first time. The last time, we decided that we were done with it. Not worth the money anymore. I think it should be done at least once though.

Haha, no worries! I can't believe that we're in 2014 already myself.

Don't feel shy or old. Just do it! It's a lot of fun. There were some couples there by themselves, so no one will judge. :goodvibes

Yeah, the night was kind of a bummer, but there wasn't much that we could do about it, so we made the best of it.

I was pretty disappointed myself. I distinctly remember Jason telling me "but the 4th of July fireworks will be cool..." No....no they won't. I want Wishes! I can't see Wishes everywhere. I can see 4th of July fireworks anywhere.

Fruit is only dessert when I'm trying to be really good. Or I think the dessert that's offered isn't worth the calories.....which is like...never. :rotfl:

I think tons of people would watch if Joaquin had his own reality show.

The last time, we decided that we were done with it. Not worth the money anymore. I think it should be done at least once though.

We had a cold experience once at the dessert party. We were fortunate, the coffee and hot chocolate were warm. I do agree it should be done once. I do still really enjoy it though.

I am totally shocked that there are no sugar free desserts to choose from. Really? How is that possible? :confused3 As far as I'm concerned your dad should not even have to pay. What a waste.

I guess one of the reasons I have never gone to the dessert party, in addition to not wanting to overdose on sweets, is that I can't stand when everyone clamors up by the railing. Why can't people just sit and enjoy the fireworks? It would be so much better. Glad you spoke up on behalf on the kids.

We loved Enchanted Tales with Belle, too. DD was so excited she got to be Phillippe. Way to crush it !! Haha. My cousins are always posting on facebook about how funny that movie is and I have still never seen it. One day !!!

I have always wanted to the Dessert Party. Sorry about not getting to see Wishes. Besides your gripes, did you enjoy it? Or do you think it is a waste??

LOL on Jauquin's convo. Kids say the funniest things sometimes.

All caught up now !!

Susan

I would be royally ticked if I had called specifically to ask about sugar-free desserts and then there were none!! Now, I'm one that truly likes a fruit-based dessert over a chocolatey one, but fruit by itself is NOT dessert!! No way!

Annoying about the fireworks, you do have plans to see Wishes on your upcoming trip, I hope? Nice thing about frequent trips:thumbsup2

I have no idea. Maybe I was misinformed, but I thought I had done my due diligence on figuring out if they offered sugar free options. It was pretty much like he was paying for his seat more than anything else.

I don't understand the not sitting part. Like, really people, you paid for seating, sit down! If I wanted to stand, I would stay out on main street at the hub to watch. Seriously.

I love it when family members get picked. I really like the fact that they don't let tons of people in at a time, so more people get to participate, and less feel left out.

OMG...you have to watch Pitch Perfect ASAP. You will love it!

I really do normally like the dessert party. It's just different for us now with my Dad not being able to eat the desserts. We'll have to reconsider in the future. But I recommend it for everyone at least once.

I didn't call Disney, I just researched online. But I was still irritated nonetheless, because I found reports from people that they did have sugar-free desserts. In retrospect, calling would have been a good idea, but he still would have wanted us to book it, because there were six other people in our party. My Dad is really good like that.

I do plan on watching this trip for sure. I love Wishes, so we'll be stopping to watch it. :goodvibes

Hi everyone!

So I'm officially two weeks away from our trip and I'm super excited!!!! I have my makeup looks planned out, have all of my Disney clothes picked, and we're ready to go! I can't wait.

I also wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for reading along. This has been my most successful TR to date, and we're only halfway through! Which I can't believe. I still have like five more days to cover. Talk about a slow poke! But, you guys are really the best and I appreciate you reading along so much. I'm glad that I can make you laugh. That's normally my intent. And if I don't make you laugh.....get out. I'm kidding! :lmao:

So we're at the halfway point of the trip. I wanted to reach that point before leaving on my trip. I'm trying to get into a habit of updating twice a week, and we still have two weeks to go, so hopefully three more updates will come after this one. :thumbsup2

Onward!

Day 5 - Monday July 8, 2013

I had intentionally planned this to be a relaxation day. On trips that are so long, I think that you need a full relaxing day. No parks. No real plans, just chilling. I put it exactly halfway through the trip. The day after this, we would be moving to our new resort, so I think the timing was great. Plus, when it's so stinking hot outside, it's best to take a day to stay cool.

So Mom and Dad left the villa early (they are non-sleepers. I don't identify with that). We were planning on utilizing the lovely barbecue that's outside the villa and barbecue chicken, burgers, and hot dogs for dinner. They wanted to run out to pick up the supplies. I woke up at about 9:30am and they had left already. The boys were up too, because we already know that kids don't sleep late. They had already eaten their breakfast, because they have the best Ommi ever that feeds them.

Jeni got up shortly after me and we discussed going for a run. We hadn't run on this trip yet, and we both admitted that we felt like busted cans of biscuits.

However, NOT before we did our planks. See, it was plank July y'all! And I'm not talking about the joke planking that everyone does. I'm talking about workout planking! Jeni and I were planking every day in July, basically holding ourselves up in the plank position for as long as we could each day.

Of course, the littles wanted to get into it. I mean, I'm not going to tell them we don't do it for fun.

Poppy's leg is in this picture, because Joaquin was planking with his butt in the air, insisting that he's the best. Well little....we don't play that way!

See? Butt straight up in the air. Child, I could hold myself in that position all day. A plank that does not make.

Tigger decided to plank too.

FYI. He planked all day. ;)

Jeni and I got suited up for our run after that. Now, my calf was still hurting me a little bit after straining it on my first 10k. And then restraining it when I was gallivanting across my lawn to the limo. But you know, I'm an idiot, so I figured, WHY NOT! I'll go run.

Now, it was hot as all get out. Like oppressive hot. But we went out anyway. We decided to get out of the Treehouse Villa area and go to Saratoga to run instead. We found a pathway and just started to jog. I made it about a mile and then my calf started to hurt again.

 I was not a happy camper and it was very frustrating. I felt bad, but Jeni was like "no worries! It's so hot I can't breathe!" We walked the rest of the way, and Jeni kept telling me it was okay. She said that she was having trouble metering her breathing anyway.

But you know.....we got lost on the way back to the Villa.....

Under normal circumstances, I am the running leader. I'm not joking. I don't mean that I run faster than Jeni. She is significantly faster than me. But Jeni. Well...

She can't find her way anywhere. If we run in a new place, she relies on me to tell her where to go even if there are signs. So when I didn't know where we were.......I was afraid that at that point that we might have to start rationing our water, because girlfriend was not going to be any help.

Obviously, eventually I got us back to the motherland. But we took the scenic route.

And Jeni was no help.

Mom and Dad had incredible timing, as they were just arriving back at the villa when we got there. So we were all ready to hit the pool!

Oh dear, you must prepare yourself for the pictures that will accompany this update. Underwater camera you know.

We hit the Paddock Pool first. It was closest, and magically Jeni and I stumbled across it on our 3 hour trek back to the villa.

The boys enjoyed the water play area here, and that was the main reason we hit this pool.

Oh, it's to be noted that Poppy did not accompany us on this pool excursion. He was being a poopity poo head and wanted to work. Um...no thanks!

We stayed here briefly, pretty much just long enough to swim and have some nachos. Then we moved on to the Springs pool which is the big rammer jammer with the water slide.

See...

The boys LOVED that slide. They just kept going up and down up and down up and down.

Even Jeni got in on the action.

Someone takes after their Mommy with holding their nose....

Me....clearly I was prepared to hit the water.

Gavin obviously takes after me.

And then....well things just got silly with the adults.

Continued in next post:

See, we decided that we wanted to try to take underwater selfies and pictures. Give stupid adults an underwater camera in the pool and it just gets silly....and stupid.....and a little ugly.

Jason decided that he was an underwater model, so he tried to strike his best blue steel.

I clearly struck my WORST blue steel.

We have issues. Lots and lots of issues.

Jeni obviously didn't get the memo that it's "keep your eyes open underwater" day.

And I got photobombed.

Underwater.

I didn't think that was even possible.

Yes. We dunk littles underwater in the hopes of getting epic pictures taken. Don't judge us. They only choke on a little water.

Gavin doesn't need dunking, he's perfectly willing to go the distance underwater himself.

Ommi was sitting on the sidelines this whole time. She wanted to work on her tan more than she wanted to get in the water.

We had a great time at the pool and were there for several hours. It was such a great way to break up the trip and just get relaxed with no where to really go. Plus, we really got our money's worth on the waterproof camera.

At that point, it was around 3 o'clock, so we headed back to the Villa. We were hungry and ready for some barbecue.

Which I'm sorry...I failed and got absolutely no pictures of. But it's basic you know. Chicken, burgers, hot dogs.

Jason and Dad cooked while the girlies took showers and got girlied up, which was really nice of them. The food was good and hit the spot. It was nice to just chill around the villa, let the boys act like the fools that they are.

After that, we all decided that we wanted to go and see a movie. Despicable Me 2 just came out, so we figured that would be good. The boys LOVE the minions and we speak minion to each other all the time.

The movie was good, no surprise there. They just make me laugh so so so much. And I may or may not have minion text tones on my phone.

However, Jason said after the fact that they spent $90 at the movies for the four of them after everything was said and done! That's just cray. I'm sorry.

The movie was a great way to end our relaxation day. However, we may have regretted Despicable Me 2, as the kids were doing this for the rest of the night.......and following days...... (click the link below).
