I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

I agree with you, the detail in that attraction is ridiculous. That magic mirror door? Good gracious. Insane.

Hahahahaha, good job for crushing it. And thanks for the pointers.

I LOVE IT! I've yet to do it (I can't quite convince Mark that we need to and Mary and the girls did it before we got there earlier this month). You guys are so cute and so serious in your roles (well, maybe not you quite so much), but love that you were loud and bold to get your part. It sounds like a perfect ending to dinner with the Beast.

In case I don't get back, to you and your family, I wish a very

I was picked too! And I also did the wardrobe.

My mom says it was my white coat that made them pick me lol

I loved being the wardrobe!!

I would say that you were picked for being fabulous!

I want to play it for the whiny jerks who call IN to my job! :sad2:

Girl....don't I know it. :lmao:

Congrats to you and your family for being picked! I just love what you did to get picked! :goodvibes

I think my favorite part of the Enchanted Tales queue is actually the outside portion where the path winds through the garden. Last trip I stopped and just stood there for a few seconds. I felt so immersed in that world with the sound effects piping through, the beast castle visible in the distance. It was great.

Hoping that my kids will get picked in January.

Thanks! I'm such a hog for the stupid spotlight that when I don't get picked, I'm like "awwww...." :(

It's really a beautiful attraction overall. I'm very happy with the theming in that entire area.

I really hope your kiddos will get picked in January too! I'm so sad we're just missing each other.

It is ridiculous, right? The door is really the most awesome part. I was super impressed with it.

Hahaha, anytime!

Love it! :lmao:
How could they not pick you at that point.

Hahaha, thanks Franklin!

You definitely need to go and see it! It's so awesome! I hope you get the chance to on your next trip.

Thanks! You have a great one too! I'll be sitting at home doing absolutely nothing and loving it. :lmao:

Way to win yourself a roll! :thumbsup2 You go girl! :cheer2: That's a great attraction when you've got the whole family with you. Gavin does look like he's mesmerized with Belle! :rotfl2:

We are going to go see Saving Mr. Banks...weather permitting. :)

Awesome! I haven't had the chance to go and see it yet. I'm hoping for this weekend.

I always do what's necessary to get the role. :lmao: It is a great attraction when you have a big family around. We had tons of fun.

Awe! Best compliment of the year! I so needed that.

Thanks!

Of course my dear!

I love the New Fantasyland area too! You can live in the well in Belle's cottage area, and I'll take Prince Eric's castle, sound good? :rotfl:

Wow, that's so cool that so many people from your group were picked for Enchanted Tales! I kind of want to be in that someday...not as the wardrobe, because there's no way I'm singing in front of people, but for something simple, like the salt and pepper shakers. Maybe I'll volunteer next time!

I love your hair, btw. I wish I could pull off short hair like that, but I think I would look awful! You can have any color, any style, and look great! :worship:

Sounds like a plan! We'll all be a big happy family. :lmao:

It was tons of fun. I admit though, the wardrobe role is not for anyone who's shy at all or gets embarrassed. :goodvibes But most of the other roles are pretty silent, so volunteer! No need to sing.

Awwww, thanks. Trust me, I have had some styles that didn't really work out. :rotfl: The key to my shorter hair is just to have a more vibrant color. It seems to edge it up and make it more fun. Gets people to make comments. I used to get compliments on my platinum hair every time I went out! It was crazy.

I don't think you would look awful with short hair at all! I think there is a short style out there for everyone. I was a little nervous about mine at first, because I felt like it's all face and I had no where to hide. But once it was done, I felt stupid for thinking that way, because it actually made my face look super thin!

I love love love Pitch Perfect!!!
We went to Enchanted Tales when we were there last year and my son Eli, then 5, got picked to play the Beast. You wouldn't guess it from observing him, but he's shy and self conscious. He quietly freaked out in the corner until the great CMs noticed and asked if he wanted to be Philipe instead.... Much better. He just really wanted to meet Belle to let her know he'd named his dog after her... What a compliment!!

So glad you guys had fun-- I always think the knights are the funniest parts :)

It's such a great movie. I could watch it all the time.

I think they pick shy little ones to play the Beast. Or at least ones that look shy. I'm glad Eli got to be in the show though and accepted his Philippe position. That's so cute though about him wanting to meet Belle! Isn't that what all of the boys want anyway? :rotfl2:

So we had an incredible time at Enchanted Tales with Belle. I loved the entire show and we were all really happy that we were picked to participate on this first time we were seeing it. I recommend it to anyone, even if you don't have kids along. It's just a lot of fun.

After that, we decided to do a few more rides and attractions. Where would we go? We didn't know what our plan was, but we were going to head into Fantasyland to see what we would do next.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh only had a 30 minute wait time posted, so we figured, "why not!?"

Winnie the Pooh was one of my favorites growing up. "I'm just a little black rain cloud, hovering under a honey tree...."

Random side note, but totally speaks to what my brother Jason is like. When we were little, we would watch that movie all of the time. And you know that part? When Pooh asks about the bees "Do you think they S-U-S-P-E-C-T anything?", and he spells it out? Jason admitted to me later that when we would watch that movie, he had no idea what Pooh was spelling out and that he was too embarrassed to ask about it!

Moral of the story is.....kiddos...if you don't know what something means, just ask. Then when you're an adult, you won't feel like an idiot when you grow up and finally understand what it means. :rotfl2:

I S-U-S-P-E-C-T that Piglet needs to make sure he holds on for dear life here.

Follow the bouncing Tigger.

Me and my riding partner. He's a cutie!

Everyone had a good time together on the ride. When we left, the boys saw the carousel and literally had a conniption.

You know what a conniption looks like?

(BTW, if you've never watch "A Bit of Frye and Laurie"......try to find it on Netflix or something. British comedy gets me every time).

No one else seemed to want to ride the carousel, so I, ever the loving and sweet Tee-Tee, took the boys on it. And I did not do this because I wanted an excuse to ride the carousel myself. :rolleyes1

The boys had a good old time. I had a feeling that we would be visiting the carousel later on in the trip. It's funny how it's the little things that kids love the most. Just take them on a classic carousel and they're happy as clams!

Since we were in the area, we decided to visit Philharmagic. And continuing my trend of always seeming to see this movie at night, I took a picture.

For real. I always end up in there when the sun is setting or it has already set. I have no idea why, but meh. We'll go with it.

Of course we loved it. Because Donald is the man!

At that point, Mom said that she and Dad would run over to Tomorrowland to have the PP photos from earlier in the day loaded not our PP+ card. Remember, we forgot the card earlier in the day, so Mom had to remember to grab it when we went back to the room. The rest of us wandered around to the new Tangled bathrooms. The plan was to meet over at Tomorrowland Terrace for the fireworks dessert party.

Oh Hookhand. We love you.

I'm loving all of the details. Still didn't go all the way into the bathroom, but got some creeper pictures anyway.

I loved the fact that we saw this for the first time at night. I think that it's such a beautiful area all lit up. Just obsessed.

We ended up having to wait in this area for a while. Because a member of our party had the sudden urge to see the bathrooms and test them out. And took forever!

Seriously, Jeni and I were waiting outside and kept looking at each other like "really?!" We wanted our desserts, they were calling our name, and now my Mom was texting me asking us where we were. Then the next text said that they let them in to the dessert party and that we would have to check in ourselves and be let in.

We even sent one of the boys in to the bathroom to go searching to make sure no one had died.

Eventually we were all reunited. And hoofed it over the meet the parents at the dessert party. We certainly did a lot of running around and getting places quickly on this day, didn't we? Man. I was grateful that our next day was our resort/relaxation day.

Soon. I was looking at this.

Aaaaahhhhhhhhh.

Someone else was super happy about the desserts too!

Okay, so two minor gripes about this particular evening.

Gripe #1 -

I had read that they offered sugar free options at the party. I had been concerned when we booked it, because my Dad is diabetic. And by diabetic I mean, he is a good diabetic, and never eats sugar. I mean never. He does not want to be on his medication and would like to come off it. I had done some research and I read there were some options. Okay good.

There were none out. We even asked CM's and they said the only sugar free options were the fruit.

That's slightly disappointing. You don't have to offer tons and tons, but one or two wouldn't be that hard right? I felt bad. My Dad took it in stride and was fine with it, but I was disappointed.

Grip #2 -

As part of Limited Time Magic, they were running the 4th of July fireworks for the entire week. And they ran them on this day.

If I wanted to see 4th of July fireworks, I would have gone on the 4th of July and watched! I wanted to see Wishes....and I didn't get to. It's my own personal gripe, they were very nice, and I'm sure lots of people were super happy to see them. But I wanted Wishes.

I may have cried a little in my dessert.

We didn't take many pictures, because I don't take awesome fireworks pictures like Franklin (Pixeldust) or anything. And....my camera / phone was tied up with Jason trying to get the perfect picture. What is that perfect picture you ask?

Yeti, Duffy, and Tigger enjoying the fireworks together.

What up from the fireworks y'all!

Oh....I have another gripe.

Gripe #3 -

I understand that when the fireworks start, people at the party walk up in front of everyone else to stand and watch. It's not that big of a deal. I'm an adult, I'm tall, I can see over you.

But when you walk up and stand IN FRONT OF THE 9 AND 5 YEAR OLD TRYING TO WATCH THE SHOW.....I have a problem.

You're an adult. Get out of the way. Let the kids watch the show. But these people took up residence standing right in front of Gavin and Joaquin.

And you guys know me by now. Or at least I think you do.

I very loudly said "nice standing directly in front of the CHILDREN who are trying to watch the show!"

They looked at me.

My Mom and I both pointed at the boys. I said "They can't see."

They moved. And it's a good thing they did. Because otherwise, I would have been all...

People gotta keep me around, I'm telling you. I'll protect you!

The fireworks ended, and Main Street was packed more than I've ever seen it. For real. People were sitting on the ground blocking people from being able to get out. It was insane. At that point, I picked up Gavin and said to everyone else "I'm going ahead. We'll never make it out of here with our group of 7. Meet up front!"

Jason picked up Joaquin and we all parted ways to make it to the front. I just walked holding Gavin and moved in and out of everyone. It's a much more effective way of making it through. I am also an expert crowd dodger. I can offer classes anytime anyone wants to know.

We finally made it out and started heading to the TTC.

We took the boat, because the crowds were insane and the boat was the best option for us.

We made it back to our car at around 11pm.

And our car conversation on the way back to the hotel was priceless.

Gavin: Ommi, you said earlier that sometimes the characters have to leave and take potty breaks.

Ommi: Yes sweetie, that's what happens when they leave and come back. (Ever the clever Ommi she is).

Gavin: What if they have to poop?

..................kids always gotta think of something right?

But Joaquin. He just takes the cake. I wrote this conversation down verbatim. It makes no sense at all, but it's worth sharing. I'm going to say that since it was 11pm, he had lost his mind.

Joaquin: I'm gonna do a karate slippey.

Everyone: What's a karate slippey?

Joaquin: Well, you eat a banana, and you throw the banana peel on the ground and then leave it for a bad person and they slip on it.

Jason: Where does the karate part come in?

Joaquin: Disney.

Jason: Okay......but you were talking about karate.

Joaquin: *sigh* It's all about you.

Up next: Resort day!

It was sad that they didn't have any sugar free stuff for dad. I know he was perfectly happy with the fruit. It would have been really nice for him to have maybe one or two to enjoy. I remember that conversation in the car :rotfl2::rotfl2: kids say the darnedest things:lmao::lmao:

Winnie the Pooh. Ca-Lassic!

I love when a situation presents itself where you get to ride something you otherwise might not... even though you really really really really want to. So, YAY Carousel.

There is seriously nothing at all wrong with adding just bathrooms when they're as beautiful as the Tangled area. Frankly I look at it as just a gorgeous and relaxing addition to Magic Kingdom that just happens to have the functionality and convenience of bathrooms. Which that particular area really needed. :)

Wow, that is actually strange to me that there was no sugar free option. Even the cookies at the Christmas party had a sugar free option. At least they used to.

As great as I'm sure the the July 4 fireworks are, I would have cried a little (i.e. A LOT) over no Wishes as well.

Oh that's so frustrating that people stand in front of kids or frankly even shorter adults. I understand everyone wants to watch the show, but is a little consideration that much to ask?

That is disappointing that they didn't have sugar free options. Disney is usually so good about that..

I'm glad you said something about the people standing in front of the boys. I know they paid the same amount to be there, but there is no sense being rude to kids. :(

Otherwise did you enjoy the party? We're doing it for the first time in May.

I think that the 2 of us could team up and take over the world. I am also a champion crowd dodger. I usually just tell the people with them to grab the back of my shirt and hand on :lmao:

Loving how you got chosen to play a wardrobe - too funny :rotfl2:

What a shame about the dessert party not having sugar free stuff, what an expensive way for your Dad to sit and eat fruit!!

Oh my gosh! Joaquin is hilarious with that conversation. He reminds me of Bill Hader's Stefan character on SNL when he does those obscure nightclub references. Just so amusing. :)

We've done the dessert party only once but I tell ya, the adults are the worst with blocking an entire section of the front and not budging. Glad you have the nerve to say something. I'm sure it's just another thing the boys can admire about tee-tee! :lmao:

Loved your dramatic role in ETwB! I can feel the passion in your wardrobe performance. :lmao:

Happy New Year Danielle!!

Love the Winnie the Pooh pic of you and Gavin!

The carousel pic is adorable too. It always cracks me up that, even at WDW with all it has to offer, Willow is always super-excited to ride the carousel. :confused3

Excellent bathroom creeper pictures there! :rotfl2:

What a shame that there were not sugar-free options at the party - especially after you were told there would be!!!!

OMG - the “fireworks” pictures are PHENOMENAL! :rotfl2:

The standing-at-the-railing thing is one of the reasons I haven’t booked the fireworks party yet. I just know, knowing our luck, that we wouldn’t end up seeing any better than we would anywhere else. Because we are SHORT. And, honestly, if I’m going to pay for a viewing spot, I kind of want to be able to sit. :confused3

I love the Joaquin conversation - when in doubt, I am going with, “It’s all about you” when I don’t make sense from now on!
