I Want to Sell Tee-Tee to Other People!!! - July 2013 TR *UPDATE 4/29 pg. 73*

Your weight loss is amazing. Congrats...I am still on my journey to where I want my weight to be. I have had some setbacks but I am back on track. Congrats to you again. :) I just new it was your dad under that raft. Great trip report, I was sooo in that lazy river with you guys.

Thanks! Keep up on your journey. It took me roughly a year and a half of work to get there. And I still have a bit of work to do. Keeping in mind that it's a lengthy journey with a destination that's worth it helps keep me motivated to keep going. It's what helps me hit the gym, pick the right foods, and just move forward. Setbacks happen (they have to me, trust me), but I don't allow them to debilitate me anymore like they used to. :good vibes

I'm glad you felt "in the river". I think I gave everyone a new perspective on the lazy river. :lmao:

You look great! Congrats on the persistence! I think the blonde hair suits you better, too.
I hate waiting for tubes, but even more, I hate getting pelted with that cold water from above! I always make my son get out of his tube to steer me away from it:thumbsup2 What are kids for, right?
Too bad for all the lost sunglasses! I hope they get found?
You do a great job of one-handed picture taking!

Thanks! I love my super blonde hair, although I am contemplating a change. I am blonde naturally, so the dark was a bit extreme, even though I loved that too. It was just REALLY difficult to ease out of.

Hahaha, I don't mind being pelted, I just like being dramatic. So surprising, right? ;)

OK, thank you for mentioning this was posted on FB because I honestly was just going to check as I knew I saw it somewhere before. Weight loss is super tough and this is SO GREAT and you deserve a HUGE congtratulations! :cool1:

No worries, I didn't want anyone on FB with me to think they had lost your mind, so obviously I made the right choice.

It definitely is super tough. It's been a difficult journey, but the results have been obvious and I want to keep it that way.

Of course I'm sure you'd be perfectly happy if the swim up bar only served non alcoholic beverages... right?

Bahahaha, ok, I would never have guessed that was Jeni UNDER the tube. I guess all the water did block her out pretty well though.

I would be happy with a swim up bar anywhere........

No one would have guessed it was her under the tube. She most definitely surprised everyone on that.

I, like you, stick to the cheap sunglasses variety. I'm notorious for losing sunglasses (3 in 2 days one trip) so it just makes financial sense. I sure hope you get back the expensive ones though. Hard to go cheap on prescription glasses.

I do bring a more expensive pair sometimes, but never, ever, ever for the waterparks.

Congratulations on your weight loss it's incredible, well done :)

You guys are funny, I love your day at TL, there's never a dull moment :rotfl2:

Wow you look awesome! Thanks for providing me some much needed inspiration. Better get on the ball before our next trio, I don't want to get a spanking ; )

Thank you!

TL was a lot of fun, and generally, there isn't a dull moment when any of us are together.

Wow you look awesome! Thanks for providing me some much needed inspiration. Better get on the ball before our next trio, I don't want to get a spanking ; )

Thanks! I'm glad I could give some inspiration.

You definitely don't want to get a spanking! My Mom certainly does not hold back.

So the IHeartDDuck Family goes to a water park - and hilarious good times ensue! Big surprise! :rotfl2:

Love the lazy river pics - that whole journey seemed anything but lazy.

Dani, you look amazing! And that's so awesome that you are going to do the Princess Half-Marathon. I don't like running because I have weak ankles but the Disney runs look so fun princess:

Lazy rivers are too much fun, and cupholders would be a great addition. I hate getting hit with the waterfalls, though :duck:

I too assumed it was Pop under the inner tube...oops.

Oh nooooooo about the sunglasses. I used to have prescription ones and would get so freaked out about losing/breaking them. Then I got contacts and now I only buy sunglasses that are under $10. Hope you guys find them! (Cliffhanger!!)

Oh Dani! What an amazing job transforming yourself. You look fabulous! Your 1/2 marathon goal is amazing! I run but not that seriously! My goal would be more along the lines of a 10K or even a 10 miler but a 1/2 is beyond my ability. Keep at it and I would love to cheer you on along the way!

I loved your hilarious and fun update. I completely related to Jeni being dumped off the tube... I had trouble getting on those suckers in the lazy river that moves a little too fast to be called lazy! ;) I believe I had a scrape on my knee for a few days as well. You apparently have better skills than me in getting on a tube, staying on a tube, taking photos from a tube and looking fabulous all the while!

I'm picturing a pile of errant sunglasses near that ride. Crazy ending there!

You look great Danielle, keep up the great work!

Poor Popadon. It wasn't him??? Just proves that Jenni was meant to be in your family. I've always found coming from beneath the tube is a smidge easier. Maybe you told her that after? :lmao:

Ugh. Sorry about all the sunglasses. I hope they were recovered.

Typhoon Lagoon looks like a hit, besides the missing sunglasses of course! I love the little videos you post, they're a lot of fun to watch. :)

Hahaha, I guess that's how we roll.

The journey was anything but lazy. But it was tons of fun.

Thanks Courtney! I'm looking forward to running the half. I only recently got into running, because of wanting to lose weight. I wanted to have something that I felt I could have goals with. Rather than just getting on an elliptical, you know

I think everyone felt that it was my Pop under the tube. What a reputation I've built for him here. :rotfl2:

I did kinda cliffhanger it with the glasses, huh?

Thanks Brenda! It's been a long road, but it's been worth it so far. I really enjoy running, mostly outside. I can't handle the treadmill, it bores me like crazy. The longest I've run is a 10k. Not an official run, just a 6 mile long run. I figure if I can make it that far, I can make it 13 miles. :rotfl2:

I have a secret to getting into the tubes. I stand on the stairs and drop myself in. :rotfl:

I do pride myself on my one handed photo taking skills.

I'm picturing a pile of errant sunglasses near that ride. Crazy ending there!

That's how I envisioned it too. ;)

Thanks Shan!

It truly wasn't Popadon, as much as I would have laughed if it was. She did eventually figure out how to get herself in the tube.

It is definitely a hit, it's our favorite water park to visit. Such a beautiful environment. I took a pretty good amount of videos, so I will definitely post more.

I'm super slow too, don't worry! The longest I've run is a 10k, and I think my per mile average was like 14 minutes. Honestly, that's my goal for the 1/2. I hate running on treadmills too, so I'm not getting much mileage either. But next year I'm going to run a 10k in May to get my qualifying time, register in July when it opens, and then I have no choice but to do it. That's how I'm looking at it. But if I know for a fact you could absolutely do it.

I want to do the half marathon too. Have I told you that I am so proud of you. :dance3:

If you're not friends with me on Facebook (and sorry FB friends, you're going to see this again), I wanted to share a picture with you guys.

I did a side by side of myself about two years ago, against a picture of me from this trip in July. I did it to remind myself of how far I've come on my weight loss journey up to this point. Yes, the picture on the left IS ME. I was asked that at work actually. This was on my trip for the F&W festival in November of 2011.

I'm about halfway to my goal currently. Jeni and I have already agreed that we are running the Princess Half Marathon in February of 2015 (due to the 2014 races being full!), so that's my focus for the upcoming year. If anyone is interested in half-marathoning with me, let me know!

And if you'd like to be friends on Facebook and we're not, PM me and I'll find you. I love having DIS friends on Facebook.

I wanted to post that just as a reminder to myself. It's very easy to forget progress that's made, and I definitely don't want to forget how far I've come. Camille (Millie12591) is a huge inspiration to me too, and I wanted the opportunity to encourage anyone out there who might need it.

 Oooh, thank you so much Danielle. Your kind words are soothing to my soul. :lovestruc

I know I said this before but it bears repeating....YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!

I really love that you are taking your journey and encouraging others with it!! You have no idea how much you inspire others to start or finish a journey when you do this. Including me, babe. :thumbsup2
Besides, you deserve the kudos for all your hard work, baby girl. ::yes::

I'm so stinkin proud of you!! I think I'm most enamored with the fact you don't see things as having obstacles, you see what needs to be done and you go and do it.
Even going down a lazy river, you don't see the obstacle, you see stairs, jump into your tube and one hand it the whole way taking pictures! :thumbsup2 This is what I mean by not seeing anything with obstacles!!

And I too fall into the category of thinking it was PapaDon falling under the tube. :rotfl: Poor Jenni!! Bless her heart!!

I so love reading about your family, y'all crack me up with every post. :lovestruc

Keep at the hard work, girl. I know you can do this!! WE CAN DO THIS!!!

Joining in late to your TR! I just finished catching up on all of the posts and am really enjoying it! Love the way you tell the stories and found myself laughing out loud in my office during lunch break.

Camille, thank you so much for all of your kind words. It really makes me feel great. You certainly have inspired me to keep moving. I really like encouraging others, because I've so been there before, and I know for me it's always made a difference to see the success that others have had. It makes it more real. Like, I can really do this!

I really try hard not to look at things as obstacles. Just small speed bumps along the way. It's what I told myself when I made all of the lifestyle changes that I did. That it's just how life is now. It's not a temporary fix, it's not a diet, it's life, forever. Once I told myself that, everything just got easier.

Joining in late to your TR! I just finished catching up on all of the posts and am really enjoying it! Love the way you tell the stories and found myself laughing out loud in my office during lunch break.

:welcome:

I am always glad to have anyone following along! Glad you could come by. I'm glad you're enjoying the insanity so far. I'm also glad that you're getting some laughter out of it. We definitely need that, don't we?

Ahhh the getting in the tube and being flipped out of the tube problem.

Yup getting on the steps and hopping in is the way to go.

I totally agree - YOU LOOK AMAZING- Great work and keep it up.

I thought I could never run much less do a 1/2 marathon but I did complete one. I need to get back into running.

You will do great!!!

It's the only way I get into the tube. I'm not a fan of looking like an idiot in the river. :rotfl2:

Thanks! I'm dreading this winter season, because I hate running on the treadmill. I can't get past my mental block when I'm on the treadmill, I prefer to be outside. It's going to be interesting, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

We can bring our workout stuff to Wally World and run there....... and get lost forever :rotfl::rotfl:

I was a treadmill-exclusive runner until this summer - I couldn't stand running outside before, but now I'm a convert. My suggestion to help with this (and what I'm doing) are various treadmill workouts. Sometimes, yes, I go for distance, but usually I'm doing inclines, sprints, and various timed runs with cool down periods. I also like putting on the "random hills" setting and just adjusting my speed every few minutes.

This morning on my run I put on a youtube video called "Witching you were here" about the 25th anniversary of WDW. I watch a lot of youtube Disney on the treadmill! :goodvibes
