"I Want To Go Back!!!"....a Sept 2010 PTR(upd 10/12-TR Started!)

Great plans - you will be busy this week.

ONE WEEK!!!
Good luck to Madison at the Feis!
We just got the family car window stickers this last trip! Found them at Mousegears in Epcot.

I'm not crazy about the name change to the carousel either. Doesn't make sense. Of course, I always just call it the carousel!

I love airports, so we always get there really early, too! I doubt many people will be there when you guys are-- and I'm sure the ME line will be nonexistent.
Great souvenirs! I love TREN-D. I'm sure you'll find really cute flip flops there-- do you have a particular pair in mind??

Holy cow...I wish I'd known this a month ago. We just dumped a whole bunch of WDW Potato head parts at DD old daycare. DD never really played with her potato head - and it had been sitting in the basement for years, so we decided to get rid of it...if only I had known. Actually, we left a bunch of stuff there and they sent some of it back, I have to check tonight if they the potato head parts. I'd gladly hand these off to you if we still have them. (Since you live locally.)

And we have the 4 parks 1 world CD...this is the only CD that DD wants to listen to in the car.You know your kids in a WDW obsessed family when she complained at Christmas time that she didn't like the EPCOT music, she wanted the regular park theme song back. (From the CD)

Can't say the name change on the carousel bother's me..whatever. I don't care that they changed the name of a whole theme park (DHS from MGM). The only name change that I can think of that ever register strongly with me was a good one. Cinderella's Royal Table used to be King Stefan's Banquet Hall. What the heck was Sleeping Beauty's father doing with a Banquet Hall in Cinderella's castle! I mean, c'mon Disney!

Oh, and yay for 1 week to go. We hit 1 month today ourselves!

We have TONS of Potato head pieces, but Madison wants the Star Wars ones. I don't remember seeing them, but I'm sure they're there. Thanks for the offer though!

I don't know why Prince Charming needs a carrousel named after him. It's not his castle!

I have no clue why it was ever King Stefan's Banquet Hall either. How confusing!

Tell me about sending a coconut. I have no idea what that means!

Just a warning about buying the window clings in advance, I bought some and they sat around for probably over 1 year (ok, Dh didn't want them on HIS truck but I drive HIS truck most of the time so by the time I convinced him 1 yr had gone by) and by the time we tried to put them on the car they wouldn't come off the sheets and got all torn up and we now have to buy new ones. That was such a waste of $15!!

You can send a coconut in the mail from the Poly. I have no idea if they are real or not, but I read about it on tinkgurl's March TR.

Thanks for the tip on the clings!

Send a coconut? :confused3

I can't believe you're leaving a week from today!

Your plans sound great. It'll be interesting to get to see AK at night! Take lots of pictures! :)

You can send them from the Poly. There are spots for addresses already on there!

I know! One more week!!!

I can't wait to see AK. A new experience.

I think she's talking about that you can send anything through the US mail if you put enough stamps on it. A common thing used to demonstrate this point is sending a small coconut. (They did this on Mythbusters last season.) I think she's just indicating her little sister would get a kick out of getting a coconut in the mail from Florida. (You can't send an orange...too squishy.)

I heard about sending them from the Poly on another TR. So cool!

Sending a coconut is fun! We sent one to my in-laws last trip. You can get them at Caribbean Beach at Old Port Royale. It costs around $20 so it's a little pricier than a postcard but much more fun!

Don't forget those sinus meds! I know they are on my packing list from now on. :headache: Lesson learned the hard way.

Mr. Pricklepants is a pretty popular fella at my house too! Actually, anyone from TS3 is popular at my house. :rolleyes1

I had no idea you could do it from CBR..just heard about it from the Poly.

I have sinus meds on my list!!! I've lived through it as well and it was NOT fun having a sinus infection on vacation.

I adore Mr. Pricklepants. He makes me laugh!

Great plans - you will be busy this week.

I bought my family clings from Mousegears last June! Love that store!!!

So silly to change the name. I highly doubt that is going to make more boys want to ride it.

I like airports too, I just don't like them when flights get delayed and I'm freezing cold (see last June's TR).

I saw Mickey flip flops on another TR. So cute!

Well I learn something new from your PTR everyday! I never knew Poly had coconuts. We always stay at CBR so that's where I've always seen them!

That is tooo funny!! Are your kids related to mine!? They have quirks like that too..and it's only when it's in relation to Disney!!!
7 days!!!!:yay::yay:

I tell my wife when I was a kid, I had a big map of WDW (just the MK really) that I would spread out on the floor and pretend I was going around the MK on all the rides and stuff. It's why I don't need a map to find the nearest bathroom. :lmao:

Anyways, DD is not that bad yet, but she does like to pretend we live at Disney when she's playing. Another example: We don't have a fenced in yard and many of our neighbors do, and she asked why we don't have a fence. I was trying to explain to her that everyone only has so much money to spend, and we don't have the money to buy a fence because we spend our money going to Disney World. Several weeks later we were talking about one of friends that hadn't been to WDW, and she said "That's because she has a fence!" So now I've convinced her that people with fences don't go to Disney World. Good job, Dad!

I want to send a coconut too! We're going to send one to DH's boss. He'll love it.

I'm excited that you're buying baby window clings. I've was thinking about that lately...I was like, when did she say she wanted to have the baby? May? June? Sad, maybe, but it crossed my mind the other day!

I can't believe it's one week away!

I also make a to-buy list!!!! I think it's easier when you are only there for so long and the time seems to fly by!!!

I have the CD, it's a great one :) I'll play it on my ipod and listen for hours!

Skier Pete that is so funny!! LOL...tell her that we have a fence and we DO go to Disney, so she won't have a weird idea about fence-people!! It's a requirement in our subdivisions!

YAY for one week!!

I can't believe it! Time has been flying by.

7 days!!!!:yay::yay:

Woo hoo! :woohoo:

The whole coconut in the mail thing will be appreciated by my little sis.

I'm hoping for a summertime baby...June or July would be great! I think about friends on teh DIS all the time!

I can't believe it either!

It's quite helpful to have a souvie list. That way, I can cross the items off after I buy them and I don't feel like I'm forgetting to buy something.

WOOT WOOT!! ONE WEEK!! How exciting!!!! I cannot wait for another TR by you!!!

Let's start off with our countdown fact of the day:

Day 6- The proper name of Splash Mountain if Chick-a-pin Hill.

I added, "Maybe it's time to give it another try." :goodvibes Madison gave me a very stern look after she read it!

One week from today will be our first full day at the parks. We'll be starting our day with some EMH at MK. I just read that Winnie the Pooh will not be using FP's from now until after it's refurb. Boo! So, we'll probably head there first, then hit Peter Pan, maybe Dumbo. I'm still very bummed by no Small World on this trip. :sad1: We hope to accomplish everything we want in Fantasyland and then we'll head over to Tomorrowland. I'm sure we'll do Buzz and I'm hoping Madison won't chicken out of Space Mountain.

Once the park officially opens, we'll probably go over to Frontierland for BTMRR...one of our family favs! Keeping my fingers crossed for Splash!!! We'll start making our way towards the front of the park a little before 10am. We plan to walk to the Contemporary for our ADR at Chef Mickey's.!

Our ADR is for 10:30am and this is the moment I've been waiting for....a DIS meet with Kristen!!! She has an earlier ADR, but we hope to cross paths while they're finishing up and we're arriving. We've been texting and messaging on FB for the past few days and we really hope to meet up!!

After our delicious breakfast with Mickey & his friends, we'll probably walk over to the MK bus stops and head back to Pop for a bit. We'll rest up and take a swim before heading to DHS for the evening.

We hope to arrive at DHS around 3 or 4pm. I want to see VOTLM and Beauty and the Beast this evening. We'd also like to do the Animation Academy. We'll eat a CS dinner, but I'm not sure where yet. Anyone have a favorite CS at DHS?? Last year, we ate over on Sunset Blvd at Rosie's All-American Cafe. That's also where Anaheim Produce and the turkey leg place is.

The big plan for the evening is to see Fantasmic! We have a choice of shows: 8pm or 9:30pm. I'd love to do the earlier show so we can head back to Pop more quickly, but if the crowds are big, we'll do the 2nd show. I'm so happy the Pop bus stop is close to the exit at DHS. For those of you who have stayed at Pop, you know what I'm talking about. The bus stop at Epcot is in no-man's-land!!!

6 MORE DAYS!!!

 Nice try by putting that last bit on your fact for today. Hopefully she'll give it another shot!

We're planning on having breakfast at Chef Mickey's on our last day. I've never been there before so I'm really looking forward to it. Hope your DIS meet works out!

I looooove Pizza Planet at DHS. It's such a fun atmosphere and you get a Mickey head rice krispee treat for dessert! :)

Do you like that little addition to the fact? I had one for Space Mtn and the one for EE is coming up!

I adore Chef Mickey's for breakfast!! It's just a fun place to eat. If we don't meet up at CM, Kristen and I have a few other times where we could meet up.

We've never eaten at Pizza Planet, so maybe we'll give it a try! I won't be able to eat the rice krispy treat though. :sad1: Stupid braces!

I hope Madison gets the courage to ride Splash!! Maybe when she sees some of the little kids going on it she'll be brave. And if you remind her it's just the last hill that's bad!

We have a CM breakfast planned but I'm thinking about cancelling. We have 2 other BF buffets and I'd really only be doing it to make sure DS gets to see Minnie, Mickey and Goofy. He loves to watch the old videos of him meeting them at CM. I'm still on the fence.

If we keep on talking to her about it, maybe she'll break down and ride it. She really hated the log ride at Darien Lake too!!! Something about drops that just makes her uneasy I guess.

We have 2 breakfast buffets in a row!!! CM and Cape May!! We love breakfast buffets.

6 days! That must feel so very close!

I HATE getting wet, so I'm not crazy about splash either, but the inside is just SO amazing, it's completely worth it!
