"I Want To Go Back!!!"....a Sept 2010 PTR(upd 10/12-TR Started!)

Wow, Meghan! I'm pretty sure your thread is the one I follow that is the hardest to keep up with! That's okay though!! I can't believe you are SO CLOSE!! Yay!!

All your days look so great. I'm so excited for and I can't wait to hear all about it. I'm especially excited for your MNSSHP day!! That is going to be a dream come true for Madison!! BBB, eating in the castle, etc. Amazing. She'll remember it forever!! How awesome.

Day 21 (TODAY!)- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is 199 feet tall, Magic Kingdom's Cinderella Castle is 185 feet tall and the Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kingdom is 145 feet tall.

I love this one!! Did your book mention why ToT is that exact height? If it does, then ignore this, but if not, it's because if it were 200 feet high, they would need to put a light on the top to warn planes and the Imagineers didn't want that to take away from the theming! Love it!!

I also loved the Splash water fact. That's crazy!!

I guess I have been updating like a mad woman lately!

I am very excited for our MNSSHP day, but it makes me sad at the same time. It's our last full day and I get sad just thinking about it! It is going to be wonderful though.

I have heard why ToT is 199 feet tall. It's in one of my books somewhere! Isn't it crazy how fast they can drain and refill Splash? Wish I could see that happen!

Have fun at MNSSHP!!! I didn't know you'd be eating at the Castle that night, too FUN!

I can't wait to hear all about Madison at BBB. Someday I'll have a DD to bring there or else I'll have to spoil my God-daughter! :)

I hope the weather clears up for your BBQ today!

Thanks! Yes, we have BBB, CRT and MNSSHP all in one day!

We had a lot of fun at BBB back in 2006, but she's a bit older now and will enjoy it more (I hope).

The weather actually turned out great. My parents and sis &BIL came over around 1pm and they just left. It was a little windy, but other than that it was great. Now, the sadness sets in...1st day of 3rd grade tomorrow!

Hi Meghan! I'm also Megan and thought I would join in your PTR! I found you on Amy's PTR and thought I would follow along!!

I'm reading chapter by chapter now! I have just as many Vera pieces as you do! Congrats on the Disney Planner job! That would be a great job for me as for our trip in Oct, I booked the Free Dining, Flights, made a schedule with ADRs and booked ADRs in just under an hour haha. I guess you can say I have been raised a crazy Disney planner thanks to my parents!

I'm off to read more updates!

Hi Meghan!

Just popping in to say I hope Madison has a great 1st day back at school tomorrow and that I hope you post pics!! Hard to believe Summer is over, isn't it?!!

Have a nice night!!:goodvibes

I love MNSSHP...you'll have a great time! I had no idea that they play up the haunted mansion, I will have to check that out!

Great outfits! Too bad we only have one more day of clothing updates!

Hope your picnic went well! The first day of school ALREADY makes me sad and J.J. still has 2 years before Kindergarten! I hope you find something fun and distracting to do!

I am loving my new job...it's a lot of fun! Wow, you work fast!!!

Thanks Kristen. She was a little weepy yesterday, but she really loves school. I remember being like that when I was little. It's hard to get back into the routine, but it only takes a few days to adjust. I cannot believe how fast this summer went!

I cannot wait for MNSSHP. I have only heard wonderful things about it. I guess the CM's at the Haunted Mansion wear spooky face make-up and get even more into character. Sounds awesome!

Thanks! I'm very sad I only have one more day of outfits too. I'm going to update in a little bit, so stay tuned!

Yesterday was a lot of fun. I love hanging out with my family. We missed my little sis though...she's 4 hours away at school. But, it's her last semester! She has to do an intership for her spring semester and then she's done.

I am a bit sad right now because I don't have my little Maddie around. The DIS is my distraction right now!

Today was a sad day....my baby started 3rd grade! :sad1: I have no idea who let her grow up so fast, but it's not right. How on earth do I have a 3rd grader??

It was a little bright out

Tony went into work a little later so he could come with me to drop her off at school. I think that helped me a bit, because I didn't cry like I usually do on the 1st day. Plus, I've been sitting here on my computer trying to catch up on the DIS!

Anyways....Maddie and I stopped at Walmart on Sunday (my least favorite store) to pick up these:

018-5.jpg

More fans! I already had a small red one for Madison, but for $1.50 each, I had to pick up 2 more. Now we'll all have our own. And, the squirt bottle fan was only $5! Madison was very excited about that fan. I'm sure she'll be squirting us all day long.

We also picked up a little cork board this weekend, and it's now a piece of art work:

A great little display for all of Madison's keeper pins! She grouped them how she wanted them and I helped push them into the board.

Alright, I know you're all waiting for my last day of outifts. But first, let's catch everyone up on our daily countdown facts!

Day 16- If you look up at the top floor of the Haunted Mansion when you're passing it at night, you just might see two shadows walking by holding a lantern.

Day 15- Spaceship Earth's unique drainage system absorbs the rainwater into its unique gutter system and channels it into underground drains, where it is funneled into the World Showcase lagoon.

Day 8-Sept 28th (also known as Disney Depression Day)

Well, this is departure day...the saddest day of the week. I don't even want to think about it! Anyways...I'm sure we'll be tired after a great night at MNSSHP, but we have to get up early. Once we get ready, we'll finish packing and bring our bags down to get them checked-in. We've never done this before and I'm a little nervous. I've heard it can get pretty busy, but we have an ADR to get to!

After our bags are all checked-in, we'll give our carry-ons to luggage service so we can head off to our breakfast at....'Ohana!!!! We have a 9am ADR and another one of my dream resorts. I'm really looking forward to this breakfast.

After breakfast, we'll walk over to the TTC and take the monorail to Epcot. Madison has never done this monorail trip and I love it! I hope to take some great pics of FW from the monorail. Not quite sure what's on the agenda for this morning at Epcot, but I'm sure it will include a last ride on Soarin'.

Our flight leaves MCO at 6:45pm, so I'm guessing ME will pick us up around 3pm. We have a direct non-stop flight and we'll be landing back in Buffalo at 9:25pm. :sad1: So depressing!

Here's something that cheers me up...OUTFITS!

030.jpg

My oufit...perfect for the Poly.

032-1.jpg

Maddie's outfit...again, just right for the Poly. (those are khaki shorts)

I'm so sad I'm done with the outfit updates, but don't worry, I have more things to share with all of you!

Wow Meghan, your trip is so close!! :cool1:

Sorry I haven't kept up with your PTR very well, the summer just seemed to get away from me! :upsidedow I will do better now that the boys are back in school.

Today was our very sad first day of school too. I hate it. :headache: My baby is also in 3rd grade now. Where did the time go???

Going back to catch up a bit more on your PTR now. . . popcorn::

Great pins BTW! :thumbsup2

I know what you mean about a busy summer. Ours was jam packed! Hope my chapter links come in handy for you if you want to catch up!

I can't stand the first day of school, but it is nice to get back into a routine again. I'm sure she's having a ton of fun right now with her friends.

Madison loves pin trading. I bought 50 pins this summer on ebay (30 pin lot and 20 pin lot) and she wanted to keep so many of them. We finally sat down the other day and picked out about 28 pins that she wants to trade. I think that should last us through the week quite nicely.

The boys love pin trading too! They are to the point where they want to keep most of the pins they have though. So I guess I better get on ebay and find some traders!

That is exactly how Madison is. I keep telling her to pick 2 or 3 characters that she wants to collect, but that doesn't seem to work. I got a lot of 20 pins for $20 a week or so ago with free shipping!

If it makes you feel better, the times I've dropped off my bags for my flight home, it's been me and um....just me there! Never have waited!

Wow - that was an update full of info! I already saw Maddie's pics on Facebook. She is getting so big! I love the corkboard. Great idea! Did you find a place to hang it in her room?

We did the luggage check-in last trip and it wasn't a problem. There was a little bit of a line, but not too bad. Sounds like a great last morning!

Aww, Meghan - hang out here today - we'll keep you company (even though I am supposed to be doing a bunch of stuff around the house!)! It's hard to believe that they get big so fast - I have a 2nd and 4th grader now! Some of the neighbor girls were over yesterday and they are starting middle school. One is a 7th grader and is as tall as me (not saying much) and wears the same size shoes as me!!! I absolutely do not believe that in 3 years Sarah will be that big. No way.

Your Poly outfits are the BEST ones yet! They're perfect!

We're looking at just over two weeks for you??? WOW! I'd be giddy with excitement! (I am - for you!) :cheer2:

I did not know that about HM. I love these facts you're posting! :)

I've never see the bag drop off that crowded. It's usually me and one or two other people and there's 3 people working. I think you'll be ok!

And wow, Maddie has a lot of pins!

Good to hear! We've dropped off our carry-ons with luggage services before and the line to check-in bags was so long! But, that was in June.

I did pack a lot into that update, didn't I! Madison is growing so fast! I just want to hit the pause button. We did find a place in her room for the corkboard. I just had to move a few things around.

Thanks for the info on the luggage check-in. I think if we get down there early enough we should be fine. I can't wait to eat at 'Ohana and check out the Poly.

I can't even believe how long I've been sitting at this computer! I didn't even eat breakfast! Some of my dance students who are going to be freshman in HS are as tall as me. I don't think that will be Madison. She's so little!

Thanks! I love our shirts for the Poly and we'll fit in so well.

We will hit the 2 week mark tomorrow and I'm freaking out (in a good way)!

Awww Madison looks so sweet on her first day of school!

I LOVE that hula shirt for Madison! Too cute!

Madison looks so pretty today for her 1st day back.

Our Wal-Mart doesn't have pink misting fans! I had to buy green ones & Lexi wanted a pink one.

The corkboard is such a cute idea for displaying the pins!

I love both of your shirts, especially Madison's Hula shirt. Too cute!!!
