well, yes, thank you for asking. I got a whole bag of black walnuts and now I just have to lay them out to dry for a month or so and then they will be ready to crush and take the nuts out for banana bread! That's my excitement! Actually, I *AM* pretty excited about it.

One of my friends is leaving tomorrow with her DH and 2-DS's to go to China to pick up the 7 mo. old daughter they are adopting! The "gotcha date" will be Halloween!

I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping!

Have to get all Christmas preparations (shopping, wrapping, cards, & decorations) done in the next five weeks because we're headed to WDW for the first week of December and then I'm getting my tubes tied the week we get back from vacation.

Ooooh, and I'm using getting my tubes tied as my excuse for not slaving away serving Christmas dinner to the in-laws....uh, did I say slaving? I meant, umm, hostessing, yes I am not "hostessing" (nudge, wink) a Christmas dinner for 13 other people.

Believe it or not, but I'm even looking forward to getting my tubes tied. I won't have to worry about birth control anymore -- yay! And I have a great excuse for DH to HAVE to take on the primary childcare role for a few days. I don't think he'll last more than 3 days. I'm willing to place money on it.

And we're meeting my Mom and StepDad in WDW. I haven't seen my Mom in over a year -- she'll be so surprised to see how the kids have grown!

So, I'm in a pretty good mood altogether.

I saw a pack/group/school/herd (whatever!) of wild turkeys cross the road today. Yep, that's about as exciting as it gets around here.

No wait...... we could talk about what DH and I did on our last Vegas trip!! Oh, I forgot...what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Sorry. Guess it's back to the turkeys!
