I Want To Be The Only Family At The MK

We also scheduled the first seating for Cindy's and happened to be the first through the gates. We also have pictures with no one in them and my kids still remember that as the coolest thing!:D

Wow Tagrel -

I'm impressed with the way you made that stuff disappear! If I knew how to do that, I'd have all kinds of pictures of my family in the parks by ourselves. :teeth:

We had the first seating at the Crystal Palace last Feb (Pres week-- very busy), and I got a great shot of the kids on Main Street with no one else around (not digital-- sorry). Definitely worth getting up early for, especially since we were in the park when it opened, and the kids did Dumbo, Pooh, and Peter Pan before the madness.

mickeymule...I saw that pic on another post and told you how much I loved it That picture inspired this post!!! Look how cool it looks without the stroller and people to the right!!!

WOW!!!!:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Does anyone know the exact days of Jersey week. Cause I will change to the following week.

Thanks

Usually it's the first Thursday and Friday of November, which would be the 4th and 5th, but since I don't have the school's calendar for next year, I can't swear to that, but like I said, it's usually the first Thursday and Friday of Nov.

We felt we had MK to ourselves in July 02. The boys wanted to go on SM all day, it was down for about 3 hours and there were no Fast Passes to be had. We waited until after the fireworks and made our way to SM. We couldn't believe it, no one was there. We rode twice in a row and got a great picture of the 5 of us in one log with no one else in the last seat. We then started to exit and behind us were two ties with walkie talkies, they did not push us out either. When we went down Main Street there were very few people around. It's one of our nicest memories.

Thanks for the info, CAP56. I'd always wondered how long one could linger in the park before getting kicked out. And 300 trips from MI is amazing.

Tagrel, Thanks so much for the fixing of the picture. You did a better job than I most likely could have. Thanks again.

You won't believe this but in March '96 (the week before easter)on an E-ride night my family was the last and only ones on Pirates of the Caribean and when we got off, we were the only ones walking from Adventure Land to Main Street. I don't know how that happened (the daytime was CROWDS, CROWDS, CROWDS), but it was definetly a "Twilight Zone" moment!

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but isn't that Jersey Week?

I was going to say the same thing!!

Stay late. I stayed late one night once and my friend and I were the only people in front of the castle. It was nice!

As has been mentioned already, having the earliest ressie at the Castle for breakfast has given us this experience. It's really a nice feeling walking down Main Street USA towards the castle with nobody else around.

After getting in some last minute rides on BTMR after the park officially closed on our last night of our last trip, my then 6 yo DD and I leisurely walked back to the park entrance to meet my DW. We felt like we had the entire park to ourselves as we walked back through Adventureland, nobody was around. We stopped near the end of Main Street with the castle colorfully lit up behind us. I took the video camera out and we had a little conversation about how much fun we had on our trip, our favorite things we did, etc. It was a priceless father/daughter moment.

The pic in my sig was taken in the ToT queue two weeks after 9/11. Talk about empty. There weren't even people waiting for us to take the pic. Just no one in line. Although we waited for nothing, I prefer some crowds. People make the shows a lot more fun. But going in September will certainly give you the feel of being there alone. This past September we experienced far more crowds than the last few years, but we still love it. One time we were talking with some fellow Disers after MK closed, and were asked by a castmember if we were needing anything, because the park was closed was we needed to be heading out. I was a little embarrassed to be asked to leave. There were many people behind us, so I am not sure why we were asked to leave. I guess that castmember didn't get the memo. She was nice, but firm.

Anyway, enjoy November.

We were there in December 2001. We had an early morning PS at CRT on a non EE morning. We were allowed through the gates and were the only ones walking up main street, it was so cool...all three of us were skipping. It was also foggy that morning and you could just glimpse the castle! I have picture of my DD and DH in front of Mickey and Walt statue with nobody around and the castle hazed with fog in the background. Of course, no rides were open or characters around, but it was still the best feeling!

Another one to suggest an early morning PS on a non-early entry morning. We've done this several times now, both at CRT and at the Crystal Palace - personally - we like the food better at Crystal Palace, and it is much easier to get the time you want for your seating.

If you notice - there is no one else in my picture I took of my girls in front of the castle! We took this in mid December 2002 on our way to breakfast at CRT.

We went from Nov 9-16 this past year - crowds were not super heavy - it was during Veteran's Day, the week after NJ week, but they certainly were not "light" either. Fastpass was definitely useful, but they needed Fastpass for the booths at the Food & Wine Festival!

It was odd though - one day we were in Epcot - and it was jam packed, and the next it was empty!
