I want to add a night at BCV - points or cash?

We have a 6 night stay booked in a studio at BCV in November, Sunday to Saturday. We'd like to add on one night at the start but it would be a Saturday so point value would be higher. We'd have to borrow from next year to do it. Would this be the time to pay cash?

If it were me, I'd borrow the points. I don't like to pay out of pocket for accomodations when I have points. Who knows what next year will bring?

But if you don't want to borrow (maybe you already have plans for those points), then yes, it would be a good idea to pay cash for the higher point Saturday night.

All that said, you may not have a choice. The night may not be available for either points or cash. Call MS asap and ask about availablility for what you want. If the cash night is available, book it - you can cancel it later if you change your mind. Just ask about the cancelation deadline for cash reservations.

The odds of there be a room available on points is practically non existent. November nighst have been booked solid for months. Worth a try, maybe, but I'd plan on cash.

We did this very thing at BCV and OKW. We just returned on Aug. 2nd. We stayed in a 2br at each resort and got discounted cash nights at both. We used for Sat. at BCV and we did 3 at OKW for Sat, Friday, Sat. We were on vacation for 14 nights. I would ONLY do discounted cash for weekends though personally.

Thanks everyone for the info. We do have plans for next year but we could borrow again for that too. I'll call MS first thing in the morning and see what's available. Might not be an option at all.
