I am cancelling my ADR for CRT if there is no slipper? We are going in December and all I have thought about is that slipper! That stinks-are they going to have it!!!! Even if we have to pay!

Me too, so I just called the Grand Floridian and ordered it for our night at 1900 Park Fare - - its $14 they will make it ahead of time, if you arent planning on eating at any of the Grand Floridians places, you can get it to go I believe...

I'm with ya'll! I was so looking forward to the Fru-Fru Princess dessert, but alas, I guess I will have to call the GF bakery to get one unless there is some super hush hush secret place we can find this dessert. Anyone?

So, can someone please list the locations where you can still get the Slipper Dessert? Or please list the phone number for the GF Bakery or other locations where I can order it.

Thanks so much!

what exactly is the slipper?
Apparently, it is a fancy dessert that no longer seems to be available. This sends normally rational people into fits of incoherant rage, totally destroying any hope of them having magical Disney trip.

As for me, as a show of support to all of the people defined above, I am canceling my next 2 years worth of ressies, and my annual passes are burning right now as I write this.

I hope you all appreciate my sacrifice, especially since I could care less about the bloomin dessert. :earseek:

awww, its a really nice dessert that enhances the whole disney feel. I was looking forward to it myself...

It's really not that fabulous to be upset over missing out on, believe me.

It's a small (maybe 4" long?) white chocolate slipper filled with whipped cream and 4 raspberries, some raspberry sauce on the plate, and a little chocolate teardrop shaped thingie filled with the thick chocolate mousse stuff you can get in nearly every restaurant some way or other (usually as a cake filling) with some white chocolate pieces tucked on top. That's it!!! Oh and there is a stencil of the castle in cocoa on the plate as well.

Ours was ordered ahead of time from the GF bakery and delivered to the girls at the Cinderella character dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The cost is $14.

It's more of a presentation thing, not a delicious to-die-for dessert. We had way way better desserts during the week we were there.

Heres a picture for those interested...

We were able to order ours from the GF Bakery to go. Before that we were told they couldn't be made to go, so we asked if they could deliver it to Mizner's Lounge for us. They told us we could pick it up at the lobby entrance to 1900 Park Fair. When we did they had them all boxed up in cake boxes, and presented on white chocolate plates. We then took them to the lounge to eat (and have a few drinks).

I encourage all of you to send emails to WDW guest relations expressing your displeasure at the removal of this dessert. If enough people are upset maybe they will bring it back. I'm not happy about it, I really enjoyed it just a few weeks ago but I'll live and I'll write my email and lodge a complaint(albeit a nice one :teeth: ) when we are there for dinner in 3 more weeks.

From what I hear about food quality at CRT - I say, throw away the darn shoe and spend more time making the main course tastes better!

I don't care if it is on the dining plan or not but did they do away with it completely at CRT?

I have family going in 2 weeks and would like to know can the slipper be pre-ordered or have they completely stopped selling it?

Word on the streets (don't know what streets those are!) that they couldn't keep up with demand because of free dining everyone was ordering this (sorry if you already knew that). Anyway, I am betting that they bring it back after free dining is over IF the use of the dining plan goes down some.
