I'm tired of griping about the DDP changes. It changed and there's nothing I can do about it, so I decided to complain about something else.

What I REALLY want is to have the Food 'n Fun Card back that we used to get years and years ago. Now THAT was a good deal!

Anyone with me? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Count me in!!!

Food and fun was just that FUN! and easy too, no worrying about what we ordered or didn't order. Just hand the server your card and all was magically taken care of.

Over the years DD29 took water ski lessons, did fishing trips with DH, surf school and TL, DD17 did a few kids activities, plus we rented watermice, parasailed and took fireworks cruises using the "fun" coupons.

AND, once upon a time in a kingdom very far away now, it could be added to room only AP rates. Now that was a deal.

At the risk of sounding old - Those were the days...

Well, when Disney offered that plan I was having my back to back babies and not going anywhere! At least not anywhere I had to fly or drive very far. ;) We really started doing Disney yearly during the "Dreammaker" packages-silver, gold, platinum. The gold and platinum still exsist-they are called premium and platinum respectively. The silver was totally different and used "wishes" that you could use for meals or entertainment. We used both gold and silver.

The new dining plan was never all that great for my family because we don't really care for CS every day. We like a character/resort breakfast in the early morning and a late TS dinner at night. We like signature places and even a couple TS lunches per trip. We bought the DDP but had to pay a lot OOP to eat like we wanted to. The new Deluxe plan is perfect for us and the way we eat. I changed my room only BC ressie today to a package and added the Deluxe plan.

Others have written about the food and fun plan and it sounds like it was a neat plan.

It was just my daughter and I at the time and we rented pontoon boats from Dixie Landings (also showing my age, hehehe), a large boat from the Poly, and oh, who knows what else.

It was the best dining plan EVER!!!
