I really really want to order the coach but from what I understand you can only have it take you from Grand to WP is this true?

Yes thats right, it will pick you up from the GF and take you to the WP, i believe its about a 10-15min ride??

I think you cna use it at other locations too!! like the YC?

I think it takes you from GF to WP, then after the ceremony you have a little ride around the car park area back to GF. I know it's such a lot of money, but to me it's total luxury that will make me feel like a princess! Princess Mo had the coach I think and I'm sure she recommends it - maybe she can answer for you?

Gayle (a family friend that works for DFTW) invited DF and I to see it one day up close. It has always been my dream to ride in it, and hopefully I will have the chance. Although it was not at all like I expected. You could tell that they get GOOD use out of it. You are not allowed to pet the horses, which I could understand, but the paint wasn't pristine and the seat sort of worn. Don't get me wrong, its still amazing, and perfect for a Cinderella wedding. You have the coach for approx 2 hours. It picks you up at the GF before your wedding, photographer takes pictures. Then it sits at the WP during the ceremony. And it takes you and DH as your get away. You have more pictures, and then are brought back. I was also told that during that time, my DM and DD could take a ride in it for pictures as well.

I had the coach and it was an amazing experience. My parents rode over in it with me from the GF to the Pavilion. It was very hot, but even my Dad, tux and all said that it was amazing and well worth it. It's hard to describe the feeling as you hand your bouquet to the footman and he helps you in then hands back your bouquet. It was so unique and I would not trade it for anything. I was so into the moment that to me the seat looked wonderful along with the coach, I didn't notice any worn details it was just so magical at the time. :cloud9:

Our concern with it is that as AMAZING as it would be, it's just not practical to spend that much money on it. Our reception is in the Contemporary at the Napa Room. Therefore, we would have to pay for the coach AND a limo or other transportation to take us to the Contemporary. Unfortunately, that's not an option. I say if your reception is at the GF then consider it, otherwise, it doesn't make sense.

Belle1981, I am not the Cinderella type so I didn't consider the coach. I would have felt akward in it.

But that is me, and this is you...

It sounds like you really want the coach. If that is true, then definitely consider booking it. If you don't, you will always have what-if's floating around.

I have tried to live my life with as few what-if's as possible. I have found that things are easier for me to bear if I listen to my heart. So please listen to your heart, and then follow it. If your heart is telling you that you want the coach, then find a way to make that happen.

No matter what you decide to do, I hope your wedding is wonderful. I wish you every happiness in the world.

If the finances are there, and you are okay with spending the $2500 I say get it. You won't regret it. There is no other place on earth that you can ride in Cinderella's coach.

It's hard for me because everyone knows how much I want it, and how unique it is, but thats $2500 I don't have.

YES, YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES! It was SO worth every penney and is something you simply cannot do anywhere else. My guests were stunned when they saw the coach, it is just so dramatic and unique!

wow Teresa, that's some endorsement! Do you have any links to your photo's that we could look at, please? Where did you ride the coach to/from?
Thanks, Dee

I'm not sure how to post photos, but our wedding was in Italy in Epcot. Basically I rode the coach from around the corner out of view of the guests to the ceremony, then after we were married we rode the coach a little down the way, turned around and came back to get all the photos we wanted. Although for transportation it doesn't take you very far, I will always remember it!

It sounds like you really want the coach so you should get it so that you don't regret it.

I had the coach reserved, but I cancelled it last week. It just isn't worth it to me. I'd much rather have another Disney vacation in its place. My wedding planner was really cool with me cancelling it even after she went through the trouble of making sure it was available, but she totally agreed with my choice and said she'd do the same thing in my shoes so I feel like I made the perfect choice in omitting it. I think I just got too caught up in the moment with the planning.

I wish I had done it! Yeah, it's $2,500, but what memories that would have been!!! If you have the money to do it, do it. I had the money, but was afraid my grandmother would start preaching to me about it being impractical and now I REALLY regret it. Just thought you might like to see the other side of the coin.

I absolutely agree that if you have the money you should do it. Unfortunately for us, we have to prioritize and it didn't make our final priority list :(

Hi there!

Yes as dee slack mentioned I had the coach and would definitely recommend it. And our day was cloudy and ultimately rained during illuminations but nothing could ruin that coach ride with my parents. I had randy chapman as the photographer and he got the most beautiful shots of the carriage for me. I have several at my shutterfly address.

I know it seems like alot of money but it is very much worth it...be sure to enjoy every single moment! I practiced that wave with both hands for about 1 year and I can honestly say "the crowd was going wild" i felt like royalty. I chose this over having characters at the wedding only becuase i knew I got to see the characters all the time but this was the opportunity to ride the coach. except for my vow renewal!!! Plus something else I did since my hubby and I were staying at the Grand Floridian and Mary Poppins is my favorite character...after our MK photo shoot we walked over to 1900 park fare and got a picture with her. So, that was a nice added bonus.

Good luck in your decision. It is ultimately what is most important to the both of you and what you can afford. IF you can afford to splurge on it and truly want the fairy tale...the coach is the way to go!

Have A Magical Day!

The coach is also just not "me". I didn't see that as part of my day and would rather spend the money else where but each person has a different vision for their day. if that is something you really want and can financially afford it (or are willing to make other sacrifices for it) then I say go for it!

I would love the coach but I would also love to have the awesome down filled couch and chair w/ ottoman w/ teddybear fabric from Z Gallerie - the set is 3000 and when you lay it out 2500 for the coach for a couple of hours or 3000 for a couch for years...I want the couch, if you have the extra $$$ in your budget go for it - I am having major domo and I added Mickey and Minnie at the last min - because I did not want to get up so early for the MK Photo Shoot and I wanted some Disney Pics. My dad is paying for my wedding. I got Mickey and Minnie b/c I had some money left over - if he would have just handed me the $$ I probably would have just taken it - but I am not sure he would have - that is my situation - everyone wants different things, I did not have room in my budget but if I had a huge budget I would have gotten the coach, but I would not have wanted to cut anything for the coach-

I think the coach is a very neat idea, but it didn't fit with our wedding theme and plan. If I had a more fancy wedding I think it would have been a great idea, but we got married at SBP in June. We wanted a very tropical and beach theme wedding. We were all in flip-flops, so Cindy's coach didn't go with my wedding. We were also on a tight budget, so it was not a possibility for us. We decided to have the MK photo session and that's where our extra money went. But...if you have the budget for it and it flows with the wedding theme...I'd go for it!

Initially I wanted the coach, but then I found out you had to have a WP/GF ceremony and I wanted WL Sunrise Terrace a thousand times more than the WP (just a personal thing, I wanted to get married outdoors and to me the view from Sunrise Terrace is breathtakingly beautiful!). I wasn't willing to switch to the WP just for the coach and I don't regret it at all.

If you want the coach, are having a WP ceremony, and finances are o.k., then go for it - it's your day!

If you can afford it, do it! It's beautiful, and you will have great memories of it! This is a once in a lifetime event. I say do it if you can.
