Wow... I wish I was as lucky as some of the beautiful brides on this board. Unfortunantly it wasn't in the cards for me to have a WDW wedding. I am having a beautiful ceremony and reception and I'm sure it will be wonderful. I've even snuck some Disney into the whole thing (I'm having little mickey heads with black icing on my cake - hard to describe but I will be sure to share pictures).

Anywho... I'd love to have my picture taken in my wedding dress in the Magic Kingdom. We'll be visiting in October. How do you arrange this? Does it have to be in combination with a wedding package? Also the castle will be under refurb. at that time I think....

Any ideas?

Unfortunately the MK photo shoot that you are referring to is only available to brides who arrange their wedding through DFTW. You can arrange for a honeymoon shoot through Disney Photographic services, but you won't be allowed in the park with your wedding attire on.

What does the honeymoon shoot include/cost, and do you know if they do this for anniversaries as well? After seeing all these great pictures it makes me want to do it.

The honeymoon shoot must be in casual attire, from what I understand. What about a vow renewal? Can vow renewals have the MK photoshoot, like MommyPoppins? If DisneyGal wants to consider having a vow renewal in the future, it would be a costly way to get her MK pictures (but that is why I am insisting on WDW wedding vs. offsite in Florida for myself). I know some have the vow renewal very soon after their at-home wedding.

I am pretty sure that as far as Disney is concerned, vow renewals are weddings... cost the same, the process is the same so yes an MK photo shoot can be done with a vow renewal... :) It would be a costly way of doing the MK shoot but I think it is also a good excuse to have another wedding event... :)

My suggestions:

large budget= vow renewal and MK photo shoot (what is the minimum cost for this? 10,000?)

smaller budget= cute white sundress, sandals and flower behind the ear for you and khakis for DH with a honeymoon shoot. Casual but still bridal. Pics by the rose garden might be especially nice.

You can always do an Intimate Wedding / VR starting at around $2600 + 4 nights (can be All Stars - about $100/night). Then the MK would be $750 (as I recall).

Ok, so for about $4000-$4200 (if I did it right), you could have the MK photoshoot and a VR with photo from Disney.

Not too bad... :)

You can have an intimate vow renewal and still have the MK Bridal portrait shoot. A custom event is not required.

Cool!

Then, that might actually be a good option for the OP. :goodvibes
