Not boring! Tight as a beaver's bum! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I have never been to any of the outlet malls in Florida; are they worth it? :confused3

Yes, especially the Disney outlets! We always get really good deals there. And the fudge shop at one is to die for. :cloud9:

Our GPS is named "Bossy Betty" and if I was out somewhere and she stopped working I would be in an absolute panic. I don't know how to get anywhere anymore without Betty telling me where to go.

Looking forward to your Epcot day! Hubby thinks I'm mad for reading other people's TRs. He's like "why do you want to read about complete stranger's vacations?" He just doesn't get us DISsers at all. :confused3

At last a park visit with pictures:cool1:!!!!

The plan of action for today was in place:thumbsup2. We were off to our second favourite park EPCOT. We were going to catch the bus, be there for rope drop and hit Soarin’. I briefed the troops beforehand. “We head straight to Soarin’, I pick up FastPasses and then we standby. We DO NOT stop for character autographs, we head straight for The Land!! DO WE ALL UNDERSTAND?!?!?!”. “SIR, YES SIR!!!”. Well okay then family as long as we ALL know the plan.

We arrive at Epcot just at rope drop, get through security pretty quickly and start towards The Land…”Oh look there’s Daisy!!!”. “NO!!! You know the plan, we DO NOT deviate from the plan!!!” We power pass the character area as Donny looks wistfully through the windows at Goofy…plenty of time for that on our next visit to Epcot soldier. I bark orders to Donny on where to leave the buggy “Over there, in the shade NOW!!!” I didn’t actually shout the NOW bit but I did think it. We get down the stairs and Charlie’s Angel Stylee Bex and I hit the fastpass machines then had to meet the other two lagging behind at the escalator. We go into the queue and before very long we’re on Soarin’:cloud9:. This is just an amazing ride, it makes me feel so relaxed and at one with the world:hippie:, it is just a big contented sigh of a ride and I could sit on it all day….Niamh, not so much. She was a bit nervous and really didn’t like the fireworks at the end. We then headed for Nemo, Niamh loved everything about this ride but was a little worried about meeting Bruce the shark so we thought that photo op could wait for another day.

We hung out having some fishy fun then decided that as per TGM:surfweb: we should head to Mexico for some lunch before the crowd had a mass tummy rumble and the place became unbearable. Becci decided she wasn’t in the mood for Mexican so we were going to head to Japan for sushi after we were all fed…sorted. Donny and I really enjoyed the food but Niamh was hungry and freaking out by the psychotic birds who were walking about waiting to pounce on any leftovers. Donny hoovered up the leftovers and we popped over to the Margarita stand to relax Mummy a wee bit:rolleyes1;). Niamh started up a chant about how she was starving and wanted chips(fries) so we headed for the good old US of A and as we walked she became more and more of a brat (low blood sugar is a killer!!!) We picked up some chicken nuggets and chips and left the monster with her father while Becci and I headed for some Zen in Japan. This was great, a bit of peace and quiet and Becci loved the sushi.

Chilled and fed we headed back to face the beast in her lair only to find that having been fed the monster had once again transformed into a wee princess and was all sweetness and light, phew. Niamh is a true Gemini child, her moods are one extreme or the other, in Scotland it’s known as all sugar or all sh*te, but thankfully once we realised that she was burning up calories a lot more quickly on this trip and fed her accordingly she tended more towards the sugar.

Lunch over we strolled round the world and we spotted these two.

SDC10098.jpg

Donny enjoyed this encounter more than either of the girls…wonder why??? You’ll see that in one of the pictures they are signing a red t-shirt, this is because Becci was being sponsored to collect as many signatures as possible on a t-shirt for an International Development charity called SCIAF, her pen wouldn’t work so Jasmine borrowed a Sharpie marker off of her handler but we had to give it back. After this we decided to try to track a Sharpie pen down for future signature ops. After our audience with Arabic Royalty we found ourselves in Morrocco where Becci decided she’s have this done
SDC10102.jpg
She was told not to keep it uncovered and not go in the water for a few hours so she knotted her t-shirt up and proudly displayed it round the world until we hit the UK and saw Mary Poppins…shock horror my very cool and mature 13year-old actually said “Oh no, I don’t think Mary Poppins will approve of my tattoo” and she was actually serious when she said it. As Mary was a prime character autograph for the t-shirt I had to get my ar$e in gear and find a marker pen quick-smart. This proved to be more difficult than one would have thought. We got to UK and Donny took the girls to stand in line for Alice while I ran round the shops trying to find a pen. I ended up being gifted a Sharpie marker pen at the Kidcote station by the lovely Scottish girl in charge as they could think of no where that I’d be able to buy one…us Scot’s are good people who look after our own. I got back after they met Alice, who apparently LOVED the tattoo (well you know anyone who’s dropped a magic mushroom or two is not going to take offence to a wee tattoo here or there are they?).
SDC10099.jpg

We waited for Mary and she was so lovely with the girls, she complemented Niamh on her dress and her very good manners and even told Becci she liked her tattoo…who knew Mary could get down with the cool kids.
SDC10100.jpg

We wandered around the rest of WS and Niamh was getting too hot so we let her run a bit wild in the water.
SDC10101.jpg

She absolutely loved it and was completely wringing and refreshed after a 15minute play. We were eating at WCC that night so we made our way out of the park but stopped in for some retail therapy
SDC10104.jpg
and to take this picture first.
SDC10105.jpg

Whilst we were getting changed for dinner it became very overcast and windy. We headed for DTD and we boarded the bus to WL the heavens opened and threw rain down that Noah would have been scared of. It was crazy mental rain and we were scared for the driver driving the bus but we were also scared of getting off of that bus and drowning standing up. By the time we reached WL the rain had just about stopped and we couldn’t believe our luck, we made it to WCC dry and in one piece (always a plus I find). We stayed at WL on our last trip and did feel a wee bit homesick when we walked into the lobby, it is absolutely stunning. We had also eaten twice at WCC an adored the food and all the fun and japes. This time, though the food was still good, there was no carry on or getting into character on the part of our server. He was attentive enough but it wasn’t the way we remembered WCC and to be honest it’s crossed of the list for a repeat visit. For all you grubbers out there Donny and I had the Canyon Skillet and Becci had the Chicken Penne pasta. For desert Donny and I had the Pecan Pie and Becci took the S’mores cheesecake to go…Niamh had the cornbread and went crazy mental we later found out how much sugar there is in cornbread which explained it all.

Slightly disappointed by WCC we headed for the boat dock as we had decided that a wee quickie in MK would be just what the doctor ordered. By the time we got to MK it was raining again and we had to buy ponchos but this didn’t dampen our spirits. We went flying on some magic carpets and felt a lot happier.

.

On our return to OKW everyone but me crashed out in their scratcher. I was way too excited and more than a wee bit nervous. The next day was my niece Cayla’s 4th birthday and I had been granted the honour of organising a magical day for her at MK, a dream come true and a nightmare all rolled into one….

A JAKEY'S GUIDE TO THE WORLD - todays selection was the tried and tested frozen lime margarita from the stand in Mexico. What can I say ye canny go wrong with this fellow he's tall, cool and very tasty...I would definatley recommend to a friend:thumbsup2

:rotfl2: Sir yes sir! That is so me when it comes to that blasted pin trading. We have a plan dammit, do not stop, do not pin trade, do not collect $200 for passing GO. :lmao:

Love Bex Henna tatty! :cutie: Very cute and I like that she's was worried about what Mary Poppins would think!

I agree with Niamh and those Mexico birds. :scared: One stole Gabby's churro right out of her hand! :scared1:

Will have to try the Margarita next time. :cloud9:

Hope you are having a lovely weekend! :goodvibes

What a great day! Too funny that Becci was nervous about Mary Poppins seeing her tattoo :rotfl2: Gee, Jasmine is my DH's favourite princess as well :rolleyes1

Sorry your experience at WCC wasn't as good as in the past but you're right a quick trip on some magic carpets is sure to fix any disappointments :)

Oh no, I hope nothing too awful happens with the birthday celebrations :worried:

This had me LOL! Sounds like your Soarin' quest which much better than ours. I think we all get out of whack when we need to eat. I wish Danielle's attitude could be fixed as fast as Niamh's. Becci's henna looks so exotic. How long did it last? Who would have thought that the Disney girls were cool with tats. I'm so sorry your meal was just okay at WCC. We had a blast and it was all due to our server. We had a boring meal at Prime Time. No waiter interaction at all. Mk at night was a great way to finish your day.

Can't wait to read about your Magical MK day.

I love that you named your gps!:rotfl2:

Didn't the men know it would be hours before you return? You were shopping for heaven's sake!

I KNOW...WTH is that all about, Boyd and Jo have been married for 18years you'd think he'd have learn by now:confused3:rotfl2:

I'm LOVING your TR!! And the Scottish slang? Keep it coming!!

Thank you...I love your name, Maleficent is a big fav of mine:thumbsup2

Not boring! Tight as a beaver's bum! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I have never been to any of the outlet malls in Florida; are they worth it? :confused3

We thought they were pretty cool but then practically everything in the States is cheaper than the UK

Yes, especially the Disney outlets! We always get really good deals there. And the fudge shop at one is to die for. :cloud9:

Didn't see the fudge shop:eek:... no I would DEFINATELY have spent money there ;):rotfl:

:lmao:lovein' Bossy Betty, we were really getting to that nervous giggly stage and heaven knows what would have become of us if Gloria had given up the ghost. Jo says that she never pays attention to where she's going anymore because she relys so much on Gloria.

My hubbies given up trying to work out why I'm so into the Dis but it keeps me quiet so he's happy to sit back and enjoy the peace it provides;):rotfl2:

We considered buying the girls lanyards and pins this trip but Becci wasn't too enthusiastic and the fact that she takes forever to choose what she's just going to eat does not bode well for my time management on trips ;) don't think my nerves could stand it:rotfl:

Becci loved her tat and actually got another one on the back of her neck just before we went home...she's always been a worrier about what other people think of her (and she sure as hell didn't get that one from me :rotfl:)

Margarita stand is a little oasis of joy...Big D and I heart that stand:cloud9:

Hope your weekend is going well too:hug:

I think all the lads like a bit of Jasmine...I think with Donny it's the fact that she's got a flat tummy on display (he only ever gets to see them on tv and I don't think he believed that they exist in real life ;):lmao:)

We've just chalked WCC up to experience and as you say most things can be fixed by some magic carpets:cool1:

I don't know whether to keep the suspence going with the birthday details or not, did anything go wrong :confused3....you'll just have to wait and see MWAHAHAHAHA

After that day we carried a banana in case of mood emergancies and that worked really well if administered early enough. Maybe try this with Danielle, I know she's older but this treatment also worked on Big D and he's A LOT older;). The tattoo was really pretty, at first it had a kind of crusty bit at the top which for want of a better description looked like a glittery melanoma, it then flaked off to leave the design underneath and that lasted for about a week or so.

We had the opposite experience with WCC and 50's PT. WCC had been such a good experience on both occasions on our last trip and this time the server was basically serving us with not much chat...you could forget any carrying on of any kind:sad2:. Our server at 50's PT was great, you'll hear more about her later in the TR but she was fab and not too OTT...we will definately go back there:woohoo:

You had the exact opposite experience from us. Did you have Janis as your server at 50's. She had the tables right next to us and she was a hoot. I wish we had had her. She did visit with us though. We had 50's our last night, so far only on park day 3.

"her moods are one extreme or the other, in Scotland it’s known as all sugar or all sh*te"
This is a perfect description of my DD aged 9.5 months. As my mom says, she goes from zero to 60 in two seconds flat. She is definitely a challenge, and I imagine she'll continue to be so as she grows up, but she's lots of fun most of the time, so it's okay. I regularly tell her that it's a good thing she's so darn cute! Not that she understands what that means yet, but it makes me feel better.;)

My guys know the rope drop drill so I don't need to shout it too them, but I would if necessary :rotfl:

The henna tattoo is cute and how funny she was worried what Mary would say!

Glad you discovered how to make Niamh more Princess than not :thumbsup2

I've thought about getting a henna tatto, but I always forget once I'm there. It's funny that bex thought Marry Poppins wouldn't approve.

I just found your TR. I'm all caught up and here for the ride! :goodvibes

:hug:Hi Honey, long time no blether. So happy you're here Toots

I've thought about getting a henna tatto, but I always forget once I'm there. It's funny that bex thought Marry Poppins wouldn't approve.

Oh Cherie they're lovely you should definately go for it. Bex can be a bit of a worry wart and as we lived with my parents from she was 2 until 5years she listened alot to my mum who can be a tad disapproving of such things:rotfl:...my mums wonderful and she thinks she's very liberal minded but has a tendancy to start conversations with "I mean I dont think I' a prude but....." ;)

Thank you for bearing with me beloved Chummies :flower3: I know Folks I'm so bad at this commitment thing:sad2: , things have been a wee bit crazy in my life just now but I'm aware that I need to get my ar$e in gear and get writing again. My deapest apologies again but I promise the next installment will be a bumper one as that is my nieces birthday and we had a very full day with a ton of pics. I'll probably post on Wed as Donny's taken Mon/Tue off of work and we're trying to make the best of any good weather as it can't last in Scotland ;):rotfl:
