I want fabulous that is my simple request...I need a little fabulous is that so wrong

It's always great to see the teens get into the fun and not worry about being cool!

WPE.....I need to try it!

:woohoo: So glad little Niamh didn't have to wait to see the Big Cheese! :laughing: Love you and Donald MacDonald getting frisky by the door. :rotfl2: Do your children get as mortified as mine when you kiss in front of them? pirate:

Yeah Niamh got to see Mickey!! What a great surprise. You're girls do look like they're enjoying themselves at Chef Mickey's. Taking it easy, hanging at the pool and DTD sounds like a great way to get use to the time difference. On with the jakey report!

Can't wait to read about OKW and the Magic Kingdom.

I'll try not to take so long to get the next installment up..including Jakey's Guide ;):rotfl:

Becci did have a great time....she just hid it well on occassion :headache::rotfl2:

WPE was excellent, we loved it and took Donny's DBro and the family there for lunch one day. The meatball pizza and the creme brulee are to die for:love:

Niamh couldn't give a toot about the PDI's so they're mainly aimed at Becci, she's finds my calling Donny "Sweet cheeks" especially cringeworthy ;):rotfl:. Being affectionate is one of the most fun ways of torturing your kids I know of :woohoo::lmao:

Donald "Sweet Cheeks" McDoanald. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Yay, I was right :yay: Now Niamh can enjoy the vacation without stressing about meeting Mickey :) Did she realize that there was actually more to do and see?!

Sounds like it was a great day for getting over the jet lag and getting into the Disney spirit :thumbsup2

Woohoooo Niamh got to see Mickey, the photos are so lovely and how cute that Becci got so involved too :thumbsup2

After a good sleep we wake at 06:30 (yes we got a long lie that day:woohoo:!!) and hit the shower straight away. This was the big day, we were changing resort to OKW. Now as I said in a previous post our park passes were linked to the reservation for OKW so we (for we read I) wanted to get to OKW asap so that we could get to that most holy of holy’s, the Magic Kingdom. So we were dressed and down at the Pop food court eating breakfast quicker than you can say pancakes….YUM.
Whilst on the way back we took this picture as one of my friends is very fond of Lady and I thought she’d like it.

The lovely chap from baggage services showed up at our room at just after nine and then we were free to head to OKW:thumbsup2. Now this is where I am ashamed to admit my knowledge as a Dis-er failed me:blush:. All we had to do was transfer ourselves from Pop to OKW. Now, I thought, we would go to DTD and hop on a bus to OKW…yes that particular plan would have worked. But then I spotted a bus for Typhoon Lagoon and thought “great no waiting and we’ll be able to hop on a bus to OKW which is pretty close to TL”. As Julia Roberts said in Pretty Woman “BIG mistake, big, HUGE!!!” We got to TL at around 09:40 and found the bus stop for OKW, after a 5min wait a very kind bus driver stopped and asked where we were going and then pointed out that the buses don’t start running to the resorts until after 10am DOH!!!! I felt like a complete failure, all those man hours of research and I make a rookie mistake like that…what a numpty!!! The lovely man took us to DTD where we hopped a bus to OKW (can you say, always stick to the original plan?).

The bus pulled up at the first stop in OKW, we looked over the road to the club house and…let’s just say love at first sight…
SDC10349.jpg

We checked in with a lovely girl who said…
“DONALD McDonald?!?!?! What a cool name.” heehee. She then gave us this

I was a wee bit disappointed as it looked like a LOOOOOONG walk to our room but I was wrong, it proved to be a great location. We were very impressed with the size of the room and loved our wee kitchen area. Sorry no pics of the inside of the room but believe me it was fab:lovestruc.

After we’d dumped some stuff in the room we jumped on the bus to MK full of anticipation and excitement. I couldn’t wait to see Niamh’s reaction when we got to the bottom of Main Street and saw the castle as any time she’d seen it on tv ads she’d get very excited:yay:. Before we knew it we were there, bags searched and through the turnstiles. It was rather crowded and frantic at the bottom of Main St. as it was nearly lunchtime but hey I didn’t care I was there, in my favourite place with my favourite people, let the magic beginpixiedust:. I saw the sight that always makes my heart feel like it’s going to burst with happiness and turned to my little princess: and said “Look Niamh it’s the castle!!!” and in true princess style she said “No I don’t see it!!! There’s too many people. I want to go to the pool!!!”. :furious:Yes my princess is the bratty spoiled type of princess who’s backside you sometimes want to skelp…what a wee jobby, spoiling mummy’s dream of sharing the magic:headache:. In her defence she was pretty knackered and I did get the reaction I was looking for the next time we went to MK and looked at the castle from the bottom of Main Street but at that point in time I wanted to strangle her. I growled at her and Donny popped her into her buggy and said he thought we all needed some lunch, so we headed for Casey’s (my hubbie is such a loss to the diplomatic corp:love:). This was the best move ever, lunch was amazing and the difference in Princess Bratikins was marked once she had some grub down her throat. We love the hot dogs in Casey’s and the fact that we got a seat inside was a big bonus. Donny couldn’t believe the amount of food we got for a CS credit on the DDP, he was a VERY happy bunny. With our moods, and blood sugar levels, lifted we felt it was time to get our Disney groove on. Firstly we watched the show in front of the castle then we hit Fantasy Land. Becci and I headed to get FP’s for Peter Pan whilst Donny and Niamh waited for 3 years to get on The Dimbo’s (Niamh’s name for them but it caught on)
1st time we couldn’t catch them
SDC10091.jpg

2nd time lucky!!!!
SDC10092.jpg

We lucked out by getting into Mickey’s Philharmagic without any wait what so ever. Surprisingly we had never been to this and we loved it…or rather we all loved it until Simba roared at Niamh and then she decided she didn’t like 3d-movies. We hit Peter Pan and then Goofy’s Barnstormer, again with very little wait YAY. We wandered back down through the shops on Main Street for our 18:30 ressie at Tony’s. We checked in at the front and were met with “DONALD McDonald:rotfl:……” yeah yeah, heard it before doll. The wait here to be seated was quiet long but before eventually we heard “Donald McDonald party”….yeah people have a good stare, you wouldn’t do that to someone because they had an unfortunate appearance so why do it to someone with an unfortunate name;). We were seated right beside the beautiful fountain and Niamh (who loves Lady) was entranced. Our server was excellent (his name was McDonald too…though his parents had had the forethought to give him a more sensible first name:rolleyes:). The food in Tony’s is sublime. Donny had the NY Strip Steak, I had the Chicken Parmigiana, Becci had Seafood Diavoli and Niamh had the pizza. Now this was all scrumptious and we had no room for pudding BUT we had free dining and desert was included so Donny ordered the Ice Cream Bomb, I had the Key Lime cheesecake and we convinced Bex to order the Lemon Walnut Layer Cake to-go. Completely stuffed we waddled to the bus and headed back to the room. When we got back Donny phoned his DBro as we were meeting up with him and his family the next day so that Becci, Jo and I could go shopping and the boys and wee ones could play at their villa’s pool. Change of plans their pool filter was goosed:headache: and they couldn’t swim. They were going to come to our resort and play in the pool and the girlies could still get our shopping groove on…sorted:woohoo:.
Once we were in our jammies Saintly Becci:littleangel:, who had been too stuffed to eat desert, got tucked into her cake and announced it was fab. It was then pounced on by her vulture parents and devoured….well you’re never too full for cake are you;):rotfl:!!!

SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:- The management would like to apologise for the lack of pictures and “Jakey’s Guide to the World” in this post. I was still a bit off my game at this point so no pics. Also the fact that we were in MK all day meant no swalley. These problems were remedied by the time we hit Epcot…believe me:smooth:.

I can't believe Niamh reaction to the castle!:laughing:

I guess you should have coached her with the appropriate response before you got there.

you were brave to try fantasyland at that time of day....I avoid it like the plague anytime after 11.

Very entertaining! I'm so sorry for Niamh's reaction. One of those moments you plan a lifetime for(sigh). But it does sound like everyone enjoyed their first day in the parks. Dinner sounded fab and you're making me hungry. We had a big breakfast at the Waffle House, so no lunch yet.

Can't wait for more.

P.S. I updated last night so pop over for a read.

Bless little Niamh and her reaction to MK, and all those names you called her, absolutely disgusting Kirsteen ;) just kidding I'd have been the same :rotfl:

Glad you had a good meal at Tony's I'm now thinking of trying it thanks to you and Jenny!

Jakey=me???;)

::yes::

I :lovestruc the Lady photo. Glad you enjoyed Tony's. I find it so magical but I am a tramp for Lady and the Tramp.

If I had a dollar for everytime one of the kids wanted to swim instead of enjoy the parks, I'd have over $50,000. That's all Joshua ever wants to do until he gets caught up in the magic but engaging him can be a task.

Subbing! I followed you over from Jenny, Jenna and the gang's TR, cause I was loving your Scottish slang over there. Monarch of the Glen is one of my favorite shows (well the first 3 seasons at least) so I recognize and understand a bit of it.

Loving your TR so far. Your girls are adorable, and I LOVE the look on Niamh's face in that pic w/ the Big Cheese, such a :cutie: Keep it coming popcorn::

WooHoooooooo!!!! Kirsteen's got a TR!!!!:cool1::woohoo::yay:

Sorry I've been MIA from the DIS and your trippie, but I look forward to reading about your fabulous trip!!!:hug:

Niamh was a little toad that day. Don't think I didn't try to train her:teacher: to respond in a mummy pleasing manner, I did, she just decided that she was going to be a wee jobby that day and burst my bubble:eek:. I agree about Fantasyland but to be honest I wasn't thinking straight that day...the first sight of the castle always sends me a bit DooLalley :rolleyes1

Thank you, we did have a fun time despite my being unable to control everyones emotions

If the bottle fits drink it Jordan :rotfl2:

Tony's was excellent and we're definately keeping it on the list for the next trip. Hey Jo we've been friends long enough for you to know I'm never going to make Mother of the Year:rotfl:

As I said to Jo I just love Tony's, we had a bit of a family dispute there in 2007 where I was ready to divorce my family:headache: but I still loved Tony's

:welcome: glad you're another Tartan Terror to add to the gang...I agree about the first 3 seasons of Monarch after that it got really pants. Yep Niamh did react as I wanted most of the time but you know how it is with the castle you want everyone to have the emotional attachment and reaction that you do...or to put it another way I want to control them all and make them as flippin' mental as I am:crazy::rotfl2:

WooHoooooooo!!!! Kirsteen's got a TR!!!!:cool1

Sorry I've been MIA from the DIS and your trippie, but I look forward to reading about your fabulous trip!!!:hug:

:hug:My darling Jenna, I thought you were "slingin' me a deafy" (ignoring me ;) ) Lovin' having you here Sweetie.

Sorry to you all for my completely pants attitude to my TR:o, for those of you who are not on my FB life has kind of taken over:headache: and I have been making a wedding cake, looking for a new job and partying so I have been a tad remis on my updating :blush: but I promise I shall remedy this tonight:littleangel:. A thousand apologies and please don't give me the old Spanish fiddle:worried:

A Non Park Day
As a non park day I won’t spend too much time on this day as we took no pictures. This was supposed to be spent with Jo & Boyd and the kids at the villa they rented but as stated previously their pool was out of service so we made plans for them to meet us at our room in OKW. We were a little worried about the gang being able to find us but thanks to their trusty sat nav called Gloria they were with us by 09:30:yay:. It was amazing seeing them again and the kids had both grown like weeds since we last saw them at Christmas. After much hugging, excitement and a tour of our studio apartment:rolleyes1 Becci, Jo and I departed to get our Carrie Bradshaw groove on whilst the rest of the gang hit the OKW pool:woohoo:. The wee ones were desperate to get in the water as Niamh had not been near the pool the day before and Dylan & Cayla had endured looking at their villa’s pool but not being allowed in it :hyper::hyper::hyper:(apart from the hour they swam in it when they arrived before the owner phoned to warn them not to go in it oops!!!). Us girlies headed to our first shopping mall:cloud9:, Orlando Premium Outlets, and Becci was in heaven. Now Becci loves to shop but she is also as tight as a badgers bum and will not make a decision to spend money lightly but she had not counted on the persuasive powers of her Auntie Jo:smooth:. She ended up buying two tops, a jacket and a pair of converse in the space of 2hours:faint:. We then went to purchase a couple of cut price Princess costume’s for the wee girlies to wear at BBB on Wednesday at the Disney clearance store. Simple as that, we were just going to pop in, pick up the dresses and head back for lunch:thumbsup2….eh maybe not. There was only a red Christmas Belle gown that had seen the bottom of the stock room floor one time too many:headache:. Hmmm, plan B….do we have a plan B? Yep, Jo said “We’ll just pop over to the other clearance store at the other mall”, yay sorted. We jumped into the car, burnt our bums on the seats, got out the address of the other mall and Jo pulled out Gloria (remember Gloria, the sat nav?). Well the car was hot, hotter than hell in a heatwave, and oor Gloria was having none of it…don’t panic:eek:. Jo’s laughing and trying to stay calm because we’re strangers in paradise, what do we do if Gloria won’t work:worried:. Jo presses Gloria up against the air con and we discuss what the boys reaction would be if we abandoned the car, got a taxi back to the resort and sent them back to try to find where we’d left it:furious:, eh maybe not. Luckily Gorgeous Gloira got over her hot flush and started working again:cool1:. We get to the next mall and had to walk through Forever 21, Becci was in love and we couldn’t get her out of the place. Jo then got a phone call from Boyd to see if we were still in the State of Florida and when we might grace them with our presence again:rolleyes1, Jo’s answer “We’ll be back when we’re finished Boyd!!”…lol and his face was shut:lmao:!!!! After more browsing we went to the Disney shop and guess what….you’re right, not a single gown in sight. After this disappointment we decided to cut our losses and head back to the resort but not before I stopped off for some groceries. The boys were pleased to see us as the kids were getting a bit grumpy and they needed beer (the boys not the kids ;) ).

After making arrangements to meet up on Wednesday we waved cheerio to the McDonalds of Long Island and talked food. Now we were supposed to be staying overnight at Jo & Boyd’s villa so I had made no arrangements and all our TS credits were accounted for:confused:. Having been to DTD the evening before and thoroughly enjoying it we decided to go for WPE again and we were not disappointed:lovestruc. As we’d dined pretty early Donny popped into the Club House on the way back and picked up a DVD to watch in the room. Watching Pirates in our jim-jams would have been a perfect end to the day had I remembered to pick up a wee drinkie-poo from the bar but I just made do with my Key Lime Pie and resolved not to make the same mistake again.

SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:- This post was longer than intended, apologies if I’ve bored you all rigid :bored: but tomorrow is Epcot and pictures AT LAST:cheer2:!!!!

Not boring at all, but delightfully funny! I love you take on Gloria. Hot Flashes!:laughing:

I have yet to head out and hit the malls there. You're much braver than I. My daughter Michelle loves Forever 21 too.

I love WGE and I'm so upset I didn't get any on my last trip.

Where are we going next?

Sounds like a great shopping day, well except for no dresses and a hot sat nav :rotfl:

Next we're off to Epcot...and WL. I'll hopefully post on tomorrow night or Friday. I'm working tomorrow and Friday but the plan is to get my finger out and post something.

Sounds like a great shopping day, well except for no dresses and a hot sat nav :rotfl:

:rotfl2:It actually was a fab day because we were with Jo, we were all girlie chat & gossip and anything that went wrong became a joke...I know it's naughty to say it but the lack of wee peeps and men was definately a BIG plus ;)

I love that you named your gps!:rotfl2:

Didn't the men know it would be hours before you return? You were shopping for heaven's sake!:banana:
